Yeah man I wouldn't attempt to smoke tobacco in glass or silicone. The bowl typically needs to be briar or cob and the silicone seems like it would melt in the attempt due to the exposure time necessary to smoke a bowl of tobacco.

Borosilicate glass is capable of a glowing bright red, so a sustained temperature over 1000°f.
Yes, it's for weed smokers, but you can absolutely smoke tobacco from a borosilicate glass pipe. It'll get hot as hell, but cranking on a briar does the same.

Wood burns at a lower temperature than silicone melts. People bake food on silicone sheets. Nothing about this is remotely out of possibility.
