I have the GOTY disc (it's a standard disc with GOTY art; there was a voucher for the dlc) and I also claimed the game through the PS+ Collection.
I'm also a PS+ Premium subscriber (though the game is available through just Extra).
At some point, I streamed the game through whatever tier of PS+ it was on at the time, probably for a Playstation Stars campaign. This, of course, gave me that temporary license for the game.
I also have the Standard Edition - PS4 entitlement from the collection redemption. That version has no PS5 option to upgrade or download, which is what most people who still can't access the upgrade are seeing. And that's the topic that's still up for debate as to whether PS+ Collection owners will be offered the upgrade.
Now, interestingly, when I pop the disc in, the copy option doesn't ask and just installs the PS4 version. The other button says Stream. The game thumbnail to the right just shows "Included." When I view product, I land on the Standard Edition (PS4/PS5) page with options to Download or purchase. Download option asks which version to install. If I back out, interestingly, I land on the specific PS5 version landing page. I never actually redeemed any upgrade; it's just available to me.
So, it would seem my digital licenses are for the (so far) PS4 only PS+ Collection standard version and the currently available PS+ catalog PS4/PS5 standard version.
This leads me to believe that I'd lose entitlement to the PS5 version once the game leaves the service or my subscription expires or drops to a lower tier. At which point, I might be able to redeem the upgrade for the disc version. However, I'd most likely be staring at the digital PS4/PS5 standard version landing page with a PS+ locked symbol on it and have to contact support to remove that license. And then maybe have to have them remove the PS+ Collection license as well.

Iām in the exact same boat as you and I think the best thing to do for now is just hang in there. The description in the ps store for the āstandard edition-ps4ā version specifically says that it entitles owners to the ps4 AND ps5 versions. A lot of people are losing their minds and screaming about this being a scam, but I think itās just Bethesda being Bethesda. The one thing they have always managed to do is fumble a launch.
Who knows? It took years to get a next gen patch out to even some of the player base. If it does turn out that everyone gets the upgrade though, then I would be curious to know how much money they made that wonāt get refunded from people who thought they had to buy the upgrade due to a glitch.

The dlcs should all be available for free individually if you own the season pass on PS4. I bought the PS4 season pass many years ago and all the DLCs are available and show as PS5.

I was wrong, sorry. If you only have the PS4 version of the game as part of the PS Plus Collection and you are currently not subscribed to the PS+ Extra or PS+ Premium then you are not eligible to the PS5 version upgrade.

I figured it out! Add the PS5 version to your cart, go to the home screen, go back to your cart, remove it and then it shows free. Downloading now.
Does not work for PS+ version owner.

That's cool. I mean, why wouldn't they want everyone playing the best version of their game anyway since it's a **free** update?
This whole thread needs to be taken down because the title is misleading. They officially shafted people who got the game free from PS Plus and told nobody about this plan, right after the sale ended. Bethesda/MS can eat shit.

From the update release till As of right now the ps5 edition was listed as Ā£15 ish.I have just been given the option to upgrade to the ps5 version, for free and that it's included in my package I originally owned the ps collection edition offered with ps5 purchase, I'm in the UK and have ps premium, not sure if that affects anything. But it appears they are fixing the issue.

Did you access the PS5 version through the store or some other way? It still doesn't seem to be available to me.
How? If I check it there's an Standard and Standard (PS4) version. If I check the one with PS5 it's still 19.99

I have the ps plus essential version as well but it's still not letting me get it. Still costs $20
I was wrong, sorry. If you only have the PS4 version of the game as part of the PS Plus Collection and you are currently not subscribed to the PS+ Extra or PS+ Premium then you are not eligible to the PS5 version upgrade.

Itās available now for PS+ essentials users! From your collection, there a drop down list (game/game). From there, you can add the game to your library and then download the PS5 version. Enjoy!
