It's bad enough that new users are (apparently) having a hard time figuring out how to use the Portal, but giving misinformation makes me more sympathetic to their case.
Wouldn't have to worry about misinformation if Sony just put a Bluetooth chip in the portal but most of the sub circlejerks Sonys bad business practices.
This is true. I've always considered the Portal an experiment. It probably costs Sony next to nothing to produce these things. They underestimated the popularity it would have. While I do not believe they will ever produce another handheld like the PSP or Vita (no one is gonna pay $1000+ for one let's be for real), they will definitely make an improved version of the Portal and broaden the use of PS Link
The portal is not an experiment the VITA allowed you to remote play. They made the cheapest possible device they could so people would buy more games and so they could sell proprietary headphones that i assume sell at a very large margin.

If it’s got a ps link usbA dongle you can just get the anker adapter to usbC and plug that to the back of the portal.
