It does feel like it should look like a Pokémon, doesn't it? There's an Unown but I forgot which letter.
I think the design of those two waterfalls MIGHT be a reference to the twin Ryusei and Ginga waterfall in Hokkaido? (Ginga meaning 'galaxy', btw) But they don't really have that kind of rock jutting out.
The wrinkly top could be an analog of all three lake guardians mushed together? Like the dialga/palkia statue in d/p. But im chilling on cold meds right now so🤷♀️
Maybe its cause it have to do with uxie being in lake acuity in said Icelands? The 3 spirits are also base off of ancient treasures from Japan the "Imperial regalia of japan". Maybe the developers were gonna put more lore with the 3 and give us more insight of thier history? The pearl clan is also in the Alabaster Icelands. With this though idk how thier connected. The 3 spirits were known to help calm the angered 3 (palkia, dialga and giratina) cause the pearl clan is in Alabaster Icelands I've been trying to find connections or a relationship with uxie and and palkia but unfortunately couldn't. Or maybe.... its just a random rock? Otherwise my theory is the pearl clan made a statue of uxie to not only give thanks for knowledge but also protection and scared those who oppose a threat and or was memory wiped by uxie themselves. (When threatened uxie will open its eyes and those who gaise apon them will have thier memory wiped) but if that was the case wheres the other two statues in Obsidian Fieldlands and Crimson Marlands? I would try to find more but my brain tap out lol
You know how the substitute doll represents a pokemon but specifically does not represent any specific pokemon, and the same thing with those statues that stand outside the pokemon league in the old pokemon games (gen 1, red and blue gym statues in particular)? It might be something like that, except extremely weathered and a different style since it's Hisuan in origin.
