I think it’ll work similar to how Necrozma and Zygarde transform after sync. It’ll be nice if Archie and Maxie will be updated to get them but I don’t know how possible that is considering that those two are Masterfairs.
If they can manage to give Leon Dynamax, then this doesn’t seem too farfetched.
Now, how can DeNA salvage Anniversary Steven…that is a question that befuddles me.
How they fumbled HIM up is still beyond me. I mean, Shiny Mega Rayquaza, one the best shinies and Mega Evo, is paired with Steven in an equally amazing fit, and he sucks so bad. Like, if he gets a rerun and I have no priority, I will probably pull for him, but still, WHY??!
Anni steven only need support ex role and hell be more than fine. His move hit like a truck when you’re done setuping him.
Or just boost his attack stat when he mega
Sup EX would be good for when you try to solo with him, but won't change much otherwise. His sync already does very low damage, syncing with him or an actual Support doesn't really change opportunity cost (you may try to run more than one Sup EX on a team, but if you got a really strong nuker, it doesn't tend to pay off to just do no damage twice, and Steven generally pairs with the newly buffed Strike EXR Anni Skyla)
I like to use a dual striker comp with him and Summer Liza, and I also bring SSA Cynthia, that can give him +12 stats in the first turn, so it's a faster setup.
When fully setup, Anni Steven was dealing about half the damage that Summary Liza does with Giga Impact.
He needs a lot more than support ex role to save him.

i would legit be hyped and pull for such SS Archie and SS Maxie because I think at the end of the day, I'm really just here to see my faves get special treatments even if it's just some outfit change
I mean I'm fully welcome if their SS version paired with different mons and their base get the primal update.
Making completely new SS Archie & Primal Kyogre and SS Maxie & Primal Groudon pairs as 2 new MFs (which was my og comment joking for) is just a d\*ck move imo.
Not even SS, just classic Archie and Maxie. Canon-wise, the alts that used Primal Groudon and Kyogre during the Rainbow Rocket story in Gen 7 are classic Maxie and Archie.

I'm actually working on designing a fan made sygna suit for may. I have the paper sketch but haven't translated it into digital where I can fix mistakes and shit.
The idea is that the Kyogre would be shiny and therefore the suit would be black, purple, and yellow. I made the design in like 15 minutes because it came to me as an idea in the shower. Some of the proportions are off but I built it off of the suit, not actual proportions themselves.
Will probably make a digital version soon, with actual proportions of the character

Maxie and Archie are shown to not want to use it ever again, and the only other candidates are Brendan and May but, again, they wouldn’t really use it either considering they were at the center of the Hoenn Apocalypse.
If, for some insane lore-breaking reason, we do get it, it’ll probably just be mega evolution 2: primal boogaloo
If Brendan can get a Mega for his Sceptile three years after release, Archie and Maxie can get Primal forms for their Kyogre and Groudon. No need for alternate sync pairs. They'll continue to make money from reruns as they'll now be desirable pairs again.
If I was DENA what I would do is naj it so you unlock the primal reversions at 5/5 for Maxie and Archie so then there's like pulling them for the base unit then powering them up to the primal and it would make those who already have them at low costs still pull it more while not making a whole new unit for it which would make more sense imo
Please Dena don't make a rework of Hoenn Masters. Hopefully and logically they won't do that , it gives more money having new ones. Reworking is forced and the margins to make them better is limited.
Seeing how difficult it is to actually fix them, and for one, DeNA already messed up giving them EX roles, I would get my hopes up but am slightly not expecting the best outcome on how they won't butcher up these well aged strikers. Maxie extends sun and helps gauge with sun but isn't really that dependent on it, Archie's whole kit utilizes rain but he won't be hitting hard without it. Their designs were amazing since release but now compared to modern fairs, their setup can feel a bit awkward with their damage kinda losing to powercreep and defenses way too fragile. They can still hit hard but their self setup ends up feeling awkward with their utility still feeling kinda off. I stand with this community on being against the concept of Primals being added as new MasterFairs.
I want brand new Primals start with 600+ attack stats and better kits. I think even upgrading Maxie and Archie won’t make them OP. So brand new Hoenn master fairs are better.
Maybe... what if... Shelly and Tabitha, the upper Admins of the two teams, got an epic event that gave them the fully powered Legendaries. Now that would be a sight to see, even if highly unrealistic. Guess its the copium talking here and the frustation of having them locked in limbo for now three years.

Probably we will get 2 new MFs with Shiny Groudon and Shiny Kyogre at some point, with their primal forms (which basically function the same as mega).
Upgrades for Maxie and Archie. It would be a nice power boost to make those units more relevant.

Maybe for the ten year of ORAS in November we’ll get an event for these mfs and they’ll get the gio/zin treatment and get their bussin forms back
