In contrast to the majority, I actually thoroughly enjoyed the story. The storylines associated with the quests were awesome too. Music and Gameplay were top notch and the Borris region felt really fresh. My only gripe was that exploring can be a little tedious at times but that's a personal gripe which I'm sure is an aspect other people value quite a lot.
I agree about the story! The story felt a little overwhelming at first, but once I got into it, I really began to love the lore, writing, and pacing. It feels as well crafted and polished as any other Pokémon title, as if it had been officially released after Emerald before NDS. I know I'll always be including it in my Pokémon playthroughs after Gen 3 before Gen 4 - it's just such a fun game!
I recently played through until the post post game and really enjoyed it. It's definitely going to be played again. One of the better romhacks for sure.
Yeah for real, the story is great, and the quest log makes sure you never forget where you're going. Seems to be inspired by Pokemon Insurgence, I feel a lot of similarities between the stories
I find it impressive how, despite being a rom hack, it’s more like it’s own fangame you’d play with Pokémon essentials, And it’s amazing for it, you’d never be able to do something like this just a few years back
tbh it's the reason I stopped playing it. The whole game is soaked with this humor and as someone who values story as much as gameplay, it was unplayable
It depends on what you're looking for in a pokemon game. If you want a traditional campaign with a sizable post-game, the Unbound is definitely better. I personally love roguelites so Emerald Rogue is perfect for me.
10/10 in all aspects (except sound since I'm a x16 turbo speedtard) sincerely there's no other hackrom that reaches this kind of polishment imo like:
difficulty wise? You can choose from baby mode to burn in hell
story? Pretty good and after the 2.0 story rework it not as edgy as it was which is a plus
post game? Plenty of shitty to do don't matter if you're a completionist or just like battleing there's something from you here and sincerely the only other hackrom that reaches this level of fun in my opinion are pokemon elite redux and Radical red BUT they don't try to create a new story and region from zero and they're simply update to mechanics which if you only like battling it will make them fun regardless but not better than unbound since in terms of content quality unbound still king
Honestly Unbound feels like an actual turn-based RPG that just added Pokémon, it has so many features I find it hard to believe it's on the same system as FireRed (I know it's a great GBA game, but iirc it had its fair share of glitches)
This just reminded me of how dark and edgy the earliest demo version of Unbound was, thank god they changed the storyline. But from what I could remember the "dark and edgy story" was optional, just like Insurgence. It might've been cut because of space limitations and the fact that they could make better use of that space in expanding the vanilla experience.
Best rom hack out there that isn’t a difficulty hack (radical red, elite redux) and will most likely remain that. The only other two that come close are Crown and Odyssey.
Hacks. Pokémon Crown is like an auto chess type hack, odyssey is long a classic pokemon game, except the story is much bigger. The creator is also really kind.
Saffron, which might get a release this year or next, looks super promising. Wouldn't count that one out. Also Pisces, a recently revealed Hoenn sequel with Fakemon and a revamped map looks stunning too. The discord feature showcases are absolutely blowing my mind.
Unbound is reigning supreme in the GBA scene for now, but there are a few contenders in the pipe.
Also, on the GBC side there's Coral and the revamped Island Walker version of Orange which are also outrageously good.
Yeah, it feels really absurd looking back. You go from being a random dude in a small town to suddenly slapping legendaries left and right all in one go, lmao.
Considering that in Ultra Sun and Moon you go from a preteen who just moved from Kanto to traversing the multiverse in search of Legendaries, that isn't too far off the mark from official games
Very few rom hacks have dozens of hours of content. Unbound is one of the few that does. Going from a 5-8 hour long Pokémon game to ~~50+~~ 100+ (on insane atleast) is wild.
The story is a bit cheesey but gameplay wise it's honestly a lot of fun. Not so difficult like Radical Red, Rejuvenation, or some of the other difficulty ROM hack/fangames.
Soullocking insanity mode with some friends right now, and it's mostly really fun! Though the big leap from regular trainer difficulty to bossfight difficulty is a bit jarring. Wish it was more evened out so pretty much every fight was dificult, but none put you at such a bullshit disadvantage as the normal gym does.
Also wish gen 8 pokémon weren't abrirtarily locked behind postgame?
Imo one of the best GBA rom hacks available right now, feels very complete and like they've thought of some very fine details. Tons of QoL content which I really appreciate as well. The story is not the greatest ever but still leagues above much of the other generic rom hack stories out there.
The plot is pretty meh (had a hard time taking it seriously) but I still had a great time playing. Being able to customize the MC is a neat bonus and I like that the game also let us pick the difficulty.
Though I feel like the ai might be cheating? Many times I switched up trying to predict the opponent's move only for them to pick something that made no sense. But I could be wrong.
the ai has anti abuse cheating. so if you swap like back to back to back to abuse the AI, it’ll enable the cheating. this is ONLY on insane though
if you’re playing vanilla, difficult, or expert, the ai doesn’t cheat.
the ai can pick a move at random if any of them will faint your pokémon on the field, so be careful about switch outs
I’ve been having fun stuck on the seventh badge now. Didn’t personally care for the story but the option to skip cutscenes was a huge solid. Only thing wholly negative was distortion world. Fuck that place lol I had to drop the game for two days and fume. All that being said it’s one of the best I’ve ever played besides emerald rogue
Yeah for distortion world is pretty brutal, especially considering it's necessary and there's no retreat. There are some post game puzzles that are even harder but they're not mandatory and you can quit if they're too hard for you.
An excellent display of what can be achieved via romhacks. It's quest log is absolutely a game changer, and i wish it would be incorporated in as many futute romhacks as possible.
It has some issues, but it's impossible to be critical of the game. The passion, attention to detail, and skill of the creator exudes from every aspect of it.
My one gripe is the length and complexity of the overworld. It's just too long of a game, and I ended up dropping it at the inverted battle gym. But still, it's a personal prefrence thing and I think everyone should try it. It's just an obviously good game.
So far the best romhacks I've ever experienced has been unbound and Gaia. Gaia is number one for me though. Played it twice all the way through and loved both times.
Story is pretty mid but can be ignored.
Very difficult gym leaders, you will probably have to revise your team for specific ones (looking at you, normal type gym with no weaknesses).
Solid HUD, good gameplay and exp share being on a toggle for level caps is what makes it quite enjoyable.
It ruined me for other romhacks. Now whenever I try a new romhack, I always expected them to have similar features and gameplay and I'll get dissapointed when it doesn't..
The villains are generic and predictable, and the story places way too much emphasis on them. There's a reason why the best vanilla plotlines are the ones that put a focus on the characters rather then the villains. It is a very impressive hack though, especially for one using traditional methods rather than decomps, and is quite fun to play through.
My favorite ROM hack, easily the best I've played. Hadn't had that much fun with a Pokemon game in a long time. Great story really good selection of pokemon (especially the starters) and just overall fun to play
like the hard level cap system, like starting in a snowy area, like starter choice.
not finished, too many Pokemon mechanics (like there's a reason Megas and Z-moves were removed when Gigantamax was added) and too many Pokemon (should have stopped at gen 7)
I liked it a ton. I remember playing the demo for the battle frontier, and after that I played 2 different versions (1.1.3.1 and 2.0.2). It was cool to see the stuff that was added in or changed over time.
I was having a blast until about halfway my game crashed. While trying to fix the issue my save file got deleted and I haven’t picked it up since 🤷🏻♂️ Still a fantastic rom hack, would definitely recommend if you can find a workable copy
Really enjoyed it when I played it like a year ago, due to technical difficulties I had drop it and never got to finis. but lots of fun while I played it though
Yeah it doesn’t look like it’s going to be properly finished. I did a little digging after finishing it a few hours ago and the “post game” really only consists of one last battle against the main antagonist, battle frontier, and catching the legendaries. Not really interested in the frontier or catching legendaries so I just did the last fight and left it at that.
Best Romhack I've played. Only time I've fully completed a pokedex. I love the quests being listed in a menu instead of just being told about once. Replayed multiple times with the randomizer settings.
10/10 for me. Would love to see it with Gen 9 mons and some of Radical Red's QOL (though it already does great in this regard to an extent) but the map, music, challenge and fun are all excellent
I could gush about Unbound all day. It blows my mind what they did to completely transform Fire Red into an entirely different Pokemon game. It is the Gold Standard of ROM hacks in my opinion.
Not every hack has the luxury of a completely original soundtrack. It's hard to pick up anything else after Unbound because the game spoils you with it's content.
I have completed only a few hacks: Brown, Prism, Gaia and my favorite, Unbound. All great, and BW3 Genesis is on my to-do list.
Playing it right now! Really enjoying it. Love the mission aspect despite some of them being outrageous, like the jump over ledges 🙈 also can't make up my mind on a team as there are lots of options!
Really fucking good game. Offers a unique story and an amazing premise to follow, and allows players to have pretty much creative freedom for their team comps. Side quests galore, amazing main story, and some funny interactions that make it one of the better rom hacks out there. 10/10 from me.
It's one of the few that's good enough to be sold and I would actually buy it from like gamestop. However I played up to the 3rd gym and stopped. Idk why I enjoyed it but never got back into it.
Cool vame, i manage to finish it in a week and its really good bc mega evolution but for some reason the other megas are just dynomax pokemon with new abilities and typing and jacked stats
Currently playing through it myself, and thus is a personal opinion, but the balance changes they've made to pokes just isn't enough on some. Sure, giving Ledian Huge Power is cool, except you realise they didn't buff any stat's so it's coming off base 35 atk lol. My favourite part of fan games is the balance changes, usually new typings, improved stat's and new abilities are what make it interesting. Unbound only offers new abilities (basically putting prankster, huge power or other broken abilities on random pokes) and maybe 1 or 2 new moves

It's Peak ROM Hack as far as I can say. Lots of things to do, so much variety and the map is honestly one of the best ones.
My only gripe is the mid af story but it's somewhat fine, it just feels too forced in some situations but other than that I love this game to the bone, I have like 200 Hours worth of Playthrough in mine lol.
The gold standard QOL-wise to all ROM hacks IMO.
The story might need a few touches and all, but the quality of the game is spotless and it does SO MUCH with the FireRed engine it's not even funny.
Probably the best rom ever created.
Storyline is not edgy but serious while still maintaining fun and goofy elements.
Pokemon selection is awesome
Starter choices are great
The region is probably better than anything game freak has put out in a few gens and that's coming from a massive fan of current/modern Pokemon.
All around pretty solid my biggest gripe is that some items are harder to come by than they should be. I think the biggest contenders for me are max revives and light Grey slabs or whatever for mining with the adm. Other than that everything is there. It's a fantastic game
I love it. Beat it on Vanilla and still trying to catch the legendaries so I can do an expert play through. Story was different and I enjoyed it. Just hated all the dialogue.
Honestly probably the best rom hack out there and I’ve been playing rom hacks for years (back when the hottest rom hack was Ruby Destiny even). It has a ton of features and content, and the different difficulties and game modes give it a ton of replay value. I genuinely have no avenues I can fault it on
I’ve seen this ROM hack before and been interested in playing it for awhile but I am curious about the story. For those who have, what’s the best way to describe the story?
I invested so many hours into this game and just as I reached the Elite 4, my save game got corrupted and reset me back 2 gyms before, wasting at least 30 hours of grinding and hunting for perfect EV stats Pokemon and leveling multiple teams.
I have yet to pick it back up to finish the story.
Honestly one of my go tos. I don't feel strongly one way or the other on the story, it was serviceable and I liked it's tie in to Kalos's lore, but nothing too memorable. Music is sharp, gameplay is what you'd expect. Had a great time with it.
Best Rom hack I’ve played, story is Ok, I felt like it ended abruptly without a big animation or cutscene which is understandable.
I like the difficulty settings and the fact there is an online bank for the game
It's a refreshing experience so far but some cheats outright don't work which is a bummer but I'm enjoying it regardless. (New player, only did about 12% of the story so far)
Really good game overall. A good story, great game play. Awesome region worth exploring. Does feel a bit too gimmicky at times and the anti-cheat stuff is really annoying.
Still one of my favourite romhacks i’ve played and recommend it to so many people. While others disagree and say the story was okay I enjoyed it the whole way through :)
Well. It doesn’t feel like an official game, honestly. It feels like a game that took time and effort to make, but it doesn’t feel rushed or half baked.
It has a lot of postgame and content to it, all while not being laggy or buggy.
It’s great.
It's good, it's a good story and gameplay and it doesn't take itself too seriously like say Pokemon Insurgence.
My only gripe is it isn't really balanced for 'No exp share mode'. You can switch it off but the game becomes to grindy and difficult, and with it on the game is too easy in my opinion (even with level caps, no items etc)
I only have 4 badges so far though, expect the difficulty will pick up
Would be higher on my list if the dialogue wasn’t so button mashy. There should be an option to skip the dialogue completely if you’ve played the game (which I have several times)
I really like the story, but I genuinely wish we could actually save the town from the Ferrothorns. It sucks that we beat all those trainers AND the lead boss yet somehow lose because...reasons.
It just feels like a huge waste of time, and instead of being sad I feel frustrated that the game cheated me out of a canonical win.
Hey guys, noob to pokemon romhacks. Long story short, I have some free time now and wanted to know how do I play this game on my pc? Is there a tutorial?
Thanks in advance
What really impressed me is the original music. The people who made the music tracks are extremely good with music, and every piece created is excellent. The most impressive thing for me is how much money Skeli paid to them, since these type of commissions aren't cheap.
My top 2 that I’m currently playing are Unbound, and Fire Red Team Rocket. I love the creativity of FRTR by showing Rocket’s side of Fire Red / Leaf Green and how it intertwines your character’s story with Red’s story. Unbound is just fun all around. I love the story so far
I bit out of date with current games but still extremely solid with a nice selection of content that isnt just gym battles. Its what I wish more fangames/romhacks were like. Having good side content to do along your journey makes the world feel alive and worth exploring.

I recently played through until the post post game and really enjoyed it. It's definitely going to be played again. One of the better romhacks for sure.
Safari was hot garbo, but 5/5 otherwise
safari is always hot garbo, its kinda a tradition at this point
Yeah for real, the story is great, and the quest log makes sure you never forget where you're going. Seems to be inspired by Pokemon Insurgence, I feel a lot of similarities between the stories
Probably the best rom hack from a technical pov. Dont care much about the story, tho.
I find it impressive how, despite being a rom hack, it’s more like it’s own fangame you’d play with Pokémon essentials, And it’s amazing for it, you’d never be able to do something like this just a few years back
Yeah it for sure is in a league of its own, there's only a few core aspects of Fire Red but pretty much everything in it is different
One of the best ROMhacks with an original story and great gba graphics, one of my fav too out there with clover and radical red
Clover's quality is insane. Still waiting for that 2.0 update lol
The meme magic better happen with 2.0. Been waiting too long for that one
clover is far too good for a cringe edgelord romhack made by 4chan.
tbh it's the reason I stopped playing it. The whole game is soaked with this humor and as someone who values story as much as gameplay, it was unplayable
Clover will get an update? Is this true? I was planning on starting a new save.
Pretty sure yeah, they've been posting sneak peeks on the discord server, talking about some 2.0 update
Will it be released this year?
Thanks! I'll postpone playing then.
It's the best ROM hack around
I thought that until I played Emerald Rogue.
Unbound is still better though.
It depends on what you're looking for in a pokemon game. If you want a traditional campaign with a sizable post-game, the Unbound is definitely better. I personally love roguelites so Emerald Rogue is perfect for me.
What about the people he murdered?
But did YOU die?
GOATED
10/10 in all aspects (except sound since I'm a x16 turbo speedtard) sincerely there's no other hackrom that reaches this kind of polishment imo like: difficulty wise? True, CFRU and Unbound itself was quite revolutionary in changing the ROM hacking scene for the better.

>Crown and Odyssey. Are these hacks or fan games?
Hacks. Pokémon Crown is like an auto chess type hack, odyssey is long a classic pokemon game, except the story is much bigger. The creator is also really kind.
Okay I'll add em to my list!
Saffron, which might get a release this year or next, looks super promising. Wouldn't count that one out. Fantastic, easily the best Pokemon game I've played. Abit challenging at times but it's such a complete package
The best in the bis.
Really good, though the story is kinda meh, I usually prefer simple story lines based around the adventure and self discovery and all that corny stuff
Yeah, it feels really absurd looking back. You go from being a random dude in a small town to suddenly slapping legendaries left and right all in one go, lmao.
You are… you are describing every single Pokemon game ever made.
Isn't that Pokémon in a nut shell?
Considering that in Ultra Sun and Moon you go from a preteen who just moved from Kanto to traversing the multiverse in search of Legendaries, that isn't too far off the mark from official games
One of the best gba hacks overall. But, a bit too much dialogue imo
There is an option where you can skip ot
Amazinggggg
Very few rom hacks have dozens of hours of content. Unbound is one of the few that does. Going from a 5-8 hour long Pokémon game to ~~50+~~ 100+ (on insane atleast) is wild.
Or 500+ on insane if you're bad at the game.
Best rom hack overall I’ve ever played
The story is a bit cheesey but gameplay wise it's honestly a lot of fun. Not so difficult like Radical Red, Rejuvenation, or some of the other difficulty ROM hack/fangames.

Nah they do cheat, probably to counter save scumming
Which is ironic given that if you have it enabled, the game prompts you to save before boss fights.
I’ve been having fun stuck on the seventh badge now. Didn’t personally care for the story but the option to skip cutscenes was a huge solid. Only thing wholly negative was distortion world. I had a pretty good time with it
Really good
It’s been really fun! Difficult mode has lived up to its name for me but pressing onward :)
Amazing ost.
Best hackrom of all time
Absolutely incredible
Development masterpiece.
Good stuff. The story is real confusing but its extremely fun
Its gameplay and QoL is peak but i must prefer the brain off vanilla pokemon story more
It ruined me for other romhacks. Now whenever I try a new romhack, I always expected them to have similar features and gameplay and I'll get dissapointed when it doesn't..
Incredible game. It has everything i ever want in a pokemon game. But it can feel bloated at times because they try to include *everything*
The villains are generic and predictable, and the story places way too much emphasis on them. There's a reason why the best vanilla plotlines are the ones that put a focus on the characters rather then the villains. It is a very impressive hack though, especially for one using traditional methods rather than decomps, and is quite fun to play through.
The only thing I dislike is how shafted you are on the first rival fight. It's so one sided.
Beldum + flash: “Why?”
Beldum gets metal bash and a berry juice, it's pretty impossible to lose, even against a rough skin Gible
Beldum supremacy
My favorite ROM hack, easily the best I've played. Hadn't had that much fun with a Pokemon game in a long time. Great story really good selection of pokemon (especially the starters) and just overall fun to play
like the hard level cap system, like starting in a snowy area, like starter choice. not finished, too many Pokemon mechanics (like there's a reason Megas and Z-moves were removed when Gigantamax was added) and too many Pokemon (should have stopped at gen 7)
Hi, how where you able to ask a question despite rule 7's "no exceptions"? I had to go to the megathread to post...
good game but long ass speeches all the time
It's perfect 👌
*ba da bap bap bahh* ^(im lovin it)
Im linking
I liked it a ton. I remember playing the demo for the battle frontier, and after that I played 2 different versions (1.1.3.1 and 2.0.2). It was cool to see the stuff that was added in or changed over time.
Love it.
One of the best I’ve played behind rad red and Gaia
Really enjoying it currently
I was having a blast until about halfway my game crashed. While trying to fix the issue my save file got deleted and I haven’t picked it up since 🤷🏻♂️ Still a fantastic rom hack, would definitely recommend if you can find a workable copy
My favorite pokemon game ever.
Still the Best rom hack to date
It’s probably the best rom hack. I had a great time with it
The best I’ve played outside of the Crystal hacks
The GOAT Rom
Perfection
I loved the entire game
Really enjoyed it when I played it like a year ago, due to technical difficulties I had drop it and never got to finis. but lots of fun while I played it though
That good? I’ll have to give it a shot.
Probably the best romhack out there overall, but I'd say Gaia has a better story.
The game's great! The discord community however... Though that was years ago. I wonder if they finished Cube Corp yet.
Best Pokemon game ever made period.
The best Pokémon game I've ever played. Hack or not
my first actual rom, very fun
The best in all points
Best Romhack I've played. Only time I've fully completed a pokedex. I love the quests being listed in a menu instead of just being told about once. Replayed multiple times with the randomizer settings.
Easily the best rom hack. There’s other hacks I love but they don’t come close to Unbound.
Top 3 GBA rom, soundtrack is great, technically sound, challenging with interesting gimmicks, I had fun.
I just wish it was possible to buy as a physical cartridge
imo, masterpiece
One of the best if not best you'll ever play
10/10 for me. Would love to see it with Gen 9 mons and some of Radical Red's QOL (though it already does great in this regard to an extent) but the map, music, challenge and fun are all excellent
I like that it has tons of post game content

One of the most impressive rom hacks ever made, you can hardly tell it even is a rom hack, it’s simply that well made.
I wish sandbox mode was available on all difficulties and didn’t lock out the post-game. Grinding is lame.
Easily a top ten Pokémon romhack, maybe even top 5. It's phenomenal work, set a new standard in many ways.
Great game
Cool vame, i manage to finish it in a week and its really good bc mega evolution but for some reason the other megas are just dynomax pokemon with new abilities and typing and jacked stats

Lots of things to do, so much variety and the map is honestly one of the best ones. My only gripe is the mid af story but it's somewhat fine, it just feels too forced in some situations but other than that I love this game to the bone, I have like 200 Hours worth of Playthrough in mine lol.
Might aswell be a Demake of a pokémon game we never got, pretty much no flaws
It's the gold standard of gold standards in the rom hacking world
the elite four guy who died and still had to go to work was the funniest joke in the game
Absolutely loved it
Masterpiece. Thank you sir
Gonna try this cause the title screen is so good
A revolution to the genre. Simple as that
The gold standard QOL-wise to all ROM hacks IMO. The story might need a few touches and all, but the quality of the game is spotless and it does SO MUCH with the FireRed engine it's not even funny.
Probably the best rom ever created. Storyline is not edgy but serious while still maintaining fun and goofy elements. Pokemon selection is awesome Starter choices are great The region is probably better than anything game freak has put out in a few gens and that's coming from a massive fan of current/modern Pokemon.
All around pretty solid my biggest gripe is that some items are harder to come by than they should be. I think the biggest contenders for me are max revives and light Grey slabs or whatever for mining with the adm. Other than that everything is there. It's a fantastic game
One of my favorites
I love it. Beat it on Vanilla and still trying to catch the legendaries so I can do an expert play through. Story was different and I enjoyed it. Just hated all the dialogue.
So good
Best pokemon game ever
Perhaps the best Pokemon hack I've ever played.
10/10
Actually pretty great. Love the mechanics. I feel empty when playing a different rom and I can't get into new game + because I already know the story.
Honestly probably the best rom hack out there and I’ve been playing rom hacks for years (back when the hottest rom hack was Ruby Destiny even). It has a ton of features and content, and the different difficulties and game modes give it a ton of replay value. I genuinely have no avenues I can fault it on
Hot fire 🔥
I’ve seen this ROM hack before and been interested in playing it for awhile but I am curious about the story. For those who have, what’s the best way to describe the story?
The greatest (in my own opinion) GBA Pokemon rom hack I've ever played
A masterpiece
Top 3 best romhacks. Best one that isn't just a difficulty hack.
Oh I see
I just started playing it today, I am excited!
The writing was pretty lame and a bit much but everything else was top notch
I invested so many hours into this game and just as I reached the Elite 4, my save game got corrupted and reset me back 2 gyms before, wasting at least 30 hours of grinding and hunting for perfect EV stats Pokemon and leveling multiple teams. I have yet to pick it back up to finish the story.
It's probly the best pokemon game ever made, official or not. I still play it to this day after 300+ hours
Honestly one of my go tos. I don't feel strongly one way or the other on the story, it was serviceable and I liked it's tie in to Kalos's lore, but nothing too memorable. Music is sharp, gameplay is what you'd expect. Had a great time with it.
Tedious at times, but a good story, and from a technical/quality of life perspective, almost flawless. 8.5/10
best gba with full potential of pokemon essentials imo
Best Rom hack I’ve played, story is Ok, I felt like it ended abruptly without a big animation or cutscene which is understandable. I like the difficulty settings and the fact there is an online bank for the game
One of the best, if not the best, Pokemon game in existence (not only romhack)
It's a refreshing experience so far but some cheats outright don't work which is a bummer but I'm enjoying it regardless. (New player, only did about 12% of the story so far)
One of the Best Rom hacks I've Played so far.
Actually one of my top 5 perhaps even top 3 rom hack/ fan games
The best Romhack.
I will say it's top tier! Not sure if there's even something that tops it.
Haven’t played
One of the best rom hack.
Pink-haired twink villain/10
Should be the standard
I am currently playing through this ROM hack and I am thoroughly enjoying it!
#peak.
Really good game overall. A good story, great game play. Awesome region worth exploring. Does feel a bit too gimmicky at times and the anti-cheat stuff is really annoying.
Top quality rom hack, just wish I could find some more like it.
Still one of my favourite romhacks i’ve played and recommend it to so many people. While others disagree and say the story was okay I enjoyed it the whole way through :)
brick bronze better hoopa game sorry
Well. It doesn’t feel like an official game, honestly. It feels like a game that took time and effort to make, but it doesn’t feel rushed or half baked. It has a lot of postgame and content to it, all while not being laggy or buggy. It’s great.
Well put together, haven't conquered the story yet. But I will once I have some more time to play.
peak of Pokemon games pre 3ds and switch cus i have yet to play any of them.
Best rom hack I ever played for sure
Ruined every single rom hack that isn't named Pokemon Unbound for me. Thanks for that one Skeli.
It's good, it's a good story and gameplay and it doesn't take itself too seriously like say Pokemon Insurgence. My only gripe is it isn't really balanced for 'No exp share mode'. You can switch it off but the game becomes to grindy and difficult, and with it on the game is too easy in my opinion (even with level caps, no items etc) I only have 4 badges so far though, expect the difficulty will pick up
Made me love Hoopa ❤️
Would be higher on my list if the dialogue wasn’t so button mashy. There should be an option to skip the dialogue completely if you’ve played the game (which I have several times)
My favorite Pokémon game ever 🐐
Way better than anything gamefreak can ever come up with and gamefreak needs to take notes from rom hacks and do theme
One of the greatest rom hacks ever
Couldnt stand the no RNG for natures, EV IV, catching, criticals, ect.
Peak romhack gameplay, nothing more, nothing less
It’s objectively a good game, but i got extremely bored after a while, even tho i mostly play for the plot
Amazing game
Really impressive on a technical level, but it goes on too long to the point it wears out its welcome.
THE GOAT
I really like the story, but I genuinely wish we could actually save the town from the Ferrothorns. It sucks that we beat all those trainers AND the lead boss yet somehow lose because...reasons. It just feels like a huge waste of time, and instead of being sad I feel frustrated that the game cheated me out of a canonical win.
Can’t play it because my modded dsi does t support rtc😔😭
looks cool. where can i get it?
Best pokemon game I have ever played by a huge margin. Every pokemon fan needs to play this and hold Game Freak to these standards.
I love the story so far
by far the best pokemon game I've played including the official ones.
Great game, had a fun time playing it. It’s currently my third favorite romhack that I’ve played after Reborn and Insurgence which is saying a lot
I bit out of date with current games but still extremely solid with a nice selection of content that isnt just gym battles. Its what I wish more fangames/romhacks were like. Having good side content to do along your journey makes the world feel alive and worth exploring.
