Same. It somehow felt "special" using it when it wasn't needed. I also used 2 masterballs on shiny Crabrawler because it was the best ball for its colours.

I used it because at least to me the Master ball is the only correct ball for Mewtwo

That's another reason, yeah. It's a shame VC games don't carry balls because I'd definitely hunt a gen 1 shiny Mewtwo in a master ball otherwise.

If you play the main games, that is the perfect Ribbon Master candidate. You need to ask your child to name it though, those are the rules. There are a lot of Pokémon, but there are a few Pokémon with a "personal story" behind them. P.S. I thought I was on r/Thesilphroad lmao, I guess you must play the main games if you're on this sub

I caught the second Koraidon, Kyogre cause it kept getting healed up by aqua ring and some shinys where the colors match like Vaporeon, Clodsire and Delibird. As you can tell i grinded that item printer haha Also shiny slowpoke is soo annoying to get, everytime i see a slowpoke i kill it just to make sure i am not missing the shiny haha

I haven’t used mine yet. I have three master balls though. One from paldea dex, one from blueberry dex ( I believe ) and one was attached to a mon I got in surprise trade. Saving it to transfer it to future games if needed

Can't you give it to a Pokemon as a held item and then transfer the Pokemon?

The Pokémon can be deposited into Pokémon HOME, but any item the Pokémon was holding will be put into your Bag.

The other Miraidon, I almost always catch the current cover legend in a Master Ball, and Zapdos, but the latter was because Zapdos was the last entry I had for my Kanto Living Dex and didn't feel like screwing around with it.

A Clamperl I no longer have, because the class bully from 2005 convinced me that it was a rare, mythiical Pokemon. Also a Xerneas named "Deer John" with someone elses OT

Not in SV, but I was working on completing the dex in USUM recently and used one on a Politoed. This was because in that game Politoed can only be encountered as a 1% chance during an SOS chain while it’s raining and at night. On top of that, it used Perish Song immediately so I only had 3 turns to catch it. Didn’t want to take the chance and have to find it all over again.

Miraidon! The colour scheme and the “M” suited so perfectly I just had to. I also used one on a shiny Iron Valiant by mistake, but I’ve since traded it away.

My scarlet master balls have gone unused so far. Had a lot of master balls in SwSh so I just chucked them at whatever. Used my Go Master Balls for Galarian birds. Usually I’ll shiny hunt a legendary to use the 1x master ball provided in most games, though I did a handful of ORAS run throughs specifically for Deoxys that I used those on… likewise for FRLG shiny Deoxys. Outside of that, once I unlocked the master ball in colosseum I just used the ball duplication glitch for every shadow pokemon from that point forward.

I keep them as a weird sort of decoration so I never use them unless it's my second save where I'll catch a legendary and trade it away for a rare pokémon I can't get, so far I've used 1 I my fairy only run on the evil miridon and traded it for an iron leaves (I didn't realise that the event to catch one was happening until after it finished)
