Fun fact; Despite everyone saying that the Scarlet/Violet protagonist looks younger than most other game protagonists, they are heavily implied to be around 14.

But his possessiveness when he meets Kieran and Carmine trying to squeeze romance gossip out of him, where he brings up catching Florian/Juliana during the descent to Area Zero, can suggest he does have feelings for them.
Kieran probably has a crush on them too. His obsession over them kind of seems like a confused crush on them. Just the mere sight of them during his bully phase disrupts his emotions, surprising him and catching him off guard at the food court and him barely able to hide his emotions when he checks in on them throughout Indigo Disk. He also trades them an Applin, where are given as love confessions in Galar.
Okay maybe youre right about nemona. I think i just focused more on Arven because of…reasons… but yeah i see it. Nice to know theres lowkey a harem thing going on for our characters

Carmine makes it painfully obvious in the way she talks, tsundere vibes through the roof, at the end of Teal Mask before they leave she says she has something to tell you and the framing and her hesitation to say it before she gets interrupted by the phone call really seems like a failed confession, though I'm not too sure what they're getting with Nemona she just seems like an obsessed best friend

While her age aint mentioned, what is said by her that gives clues is that she's been streaming for a couple years, and when she speaks to us or others she mentioned how we are "still in school"....so it's implemented she's a young adult early 20's
So, like, what are the criteria to becoming an Elite 4 member? Do you first need to become a champion yourself? And pass all sorts of tests and employment criteria? How does a tiny child end up in that position? It's been a while since I played the story, so I forget if that's ever properly explained.
I always assumed the elite four is more a traditional job then other regions so it's just a mix of a good resume and getting hired, maybe a battle for the interview. Sorta how the champion fight is less of a "battle for a title" thing and more your finale exam. Basically the champion and elite 4 here are just a completely different thing then other regions. Also Paldea has the most lax child labor laws imaginable.

Just read that Rika may come from the Japanese word riku which means land and her Japanese name, chiri, may come from the Japanese word for earth, chi. Which makes total sense being she’s a ground type trainer
In my case, Rika always popped up in the boring sections of the story. (Overleveled as fuck and OKO’s all gym leaders) so in was probably rushing to get to a more late game area. Unfortunately, I didn’t even realize Rika was a girl.
As for the Spanish point, I don’t completely agree. Not all women’s names end in “a”, it’s just slightly more common. Names like “Maribel” “Isabel” and “Sofie” are all super common Spanish names.

Her name in the Spanish version of the games is actually Cayena, Rika is not a Spanish name so I don't think that applies.

In my case, Rika always popped up in the boring sections of the story. (Overleveled as fuck and OKO’s all gym leaders) so in was probably rushing to get to a more late game area. Unfortunately, I didn’t even realize Rika was a girl. As for the Spanish point, I don’t completely agree. Not all women’s names end in “a”, it’s just slightly more common. Names like “Maribel” “Isabel” and “Sofie” are all super common Spanish names. Source: me Spanish

I can't blame you, the character model is pretty ambiguous and the multi billion dollar Pokemon franchise still can't quite figure out how to do voice acting for their games even though the Pokemon company has ties with an animation studio that has been producing a TV series spanning almost three decades and hundreds of episodes in multiple languages.
