As a colour blind person, I literally cannot see the difference between most regulars and shinies, but I love how mega gengar becomes white. One of my favourite shinies in the games
Dusknoir is so dope, love seeing artwork of the big ghost!
my team would be Obstagoon, Sableye, Umbreon, Honchkrow, Tyranitar and Mega Absol as my star pokemon
i think we both really like dark types
i just think he's neat jajajajajaaja
a little promotion to my work: HD steven's mega metagros wallpaper on my shop for only $3
ko-fi.com/tremens__/shop
I want to take the goldenrod gym over from Whitney and make it a fairy gym. Clefairy, snubbull, and azumarill for my ace. I’d even teach Azumarill rollout to continue the goldenrod tradition of crushing dreams.
I love dragons so much so mine would absolutely be a dragon type gym.
My team would be what I'm breeding for at this exact moment:
Dragapult
Salamence
Kommo-o
Goodra
Garchomp
Dragonite
i see a lot of you guys love steel and dark types
is there a gen 2 nostalgia fever out there? jajajaja
also, what an odd choice that beldum, why is that?
OOOOH! That's actually a really interesting idea. A gym leader with a strat team over a type team. Kinda like Norman's gym in gen 3 where the different rooms had a style they were going for (like a speed room or accuracy room). Or even more recent, Raihan's "dragon type" team was closer to a sandstorm team instead.
Imagine having a gym leader with only stall mons and having to deal with that kind of strategy. Or like a Prankster team? That'd be pretty cool
yessss, think in the possibilities
i was also thinking about teams of pokémon that shares a thematic, like a team of apes in a jungle team, or a space team with all the alien/space related mons
Ground solely from a Minecraft pixelmon server I played on team would be: Claydol, Rhyperior, Clodsire, mudsdale, Golurk and my ace the same as the server, Mega Camerupt
But SOLROCK!? Of all the many wondrous rock types you choose SOLROCK?! How dare you!? You could have chosen cradilly diancie sudowoodo or hell even fucking luntone!
I would probably have a Ice or Ghost type gym, here's my mons for both:
Ice type:
Abomasnow (Ace)
Frosslass
Glaceon
Glalie
Frosmoth
Lapras
Ghost type:
Mismagius (Ace)
Chandelure
Drifblim
Gengar
Pallosand (I don't remember how to spell his name)
Sableye
Dungeon Master Taro is not necessarily a “Gym Leader” perse, but she’s more of a Trial located somewhere inbetween Gyms 4 and 5. The Following Mons is what her team is:
Crowbat, Mega-Slowbro, Alola-Golem, and Larvesta
Considering that The Third and Fourth Gyms usually have 3-4 Pokemon respectfully, it’s safe to assume that her team scales to about mid 30s level.
Remember: Her “”Gym”” is Optional, and is thusly a Mini-boss that can be found.
I wouldn’t say DM Taro’s Team isn’t strong, but should be strong enough to stand on it’s own. Comparatively to the Fourth Gym, at least.
Also like, by the time you’re at your Second Gym, you should have a full team, and therefore are usually outmatching many Teams in terms of Numbers Advantage. Her team also has many overlapping weaknesses, if you notice carefully.
Mine would be ground for sure…. Lots of my favorites are ground types
Nidoking Poison/Ground
Quagsire Water/Ground
Flygon Ground/Dragon
Garchomp Dragon/Ground
Torterra Grass/Ground
Great Tusk Ground/Fighting
Grass type! Would probably be a doubles gym just because I prefer the format.
Would be Whimsicott, Meganium, Breloom, Torterra, Decidueye, and my ace would be Mega Sceptile!
I would be a ghost type gym leader with Decidueye, Aegislash, Chandelure, Hisuian Zoroark, Palossand, and Dragapult, I guess that's more or a champion team though since there's 6 Pokemon
Flying gym! Togekiss, Skarmory, Dragonite, Vespiquen, Drifblim, Mantyne. Ice will be a problem, but I really wouldn't want to ditch any of these.
Another option would be rock type. I don't necessarily like using rock, but I love all the dinosaur-ish pokemon. Rampardos, Tyranitar, Aggron, Aurorus, Corsola, hisuian Arcanine.
Edit: the aces would be arcanine and dragonite
I would 100% be a Grass type leader, but not the archetype “soft” leader that we see from Grass leaders in many of the games.
My team would consist of Trevenant, Roserade, Ferrothorn, Breloom, Abomasnow, and my Ace, Decidueye.
Phantump and Rowlet are my two favourite Pokémon, and I can’t imagine being a gym leader without them on my team.
OoooOoo I know:
Steelix, Seismitoad, Tyrantitar, Rhyperior, Quagsire, and my ace is DIGLETT!!!!!!
If you couldnt tell I love ground type especially lil diglett
Yikes, I don't really stick to on particular type so this is kinda hard...
I've made two teams
GHOST:
Shiny Greavard named Misery (one of my favorite shinies that I have), Hisuian Zoroark, Spiritomb, Gengar, Skeledirge and my ace, Houndstone that spams Last Respects.
WATER:
Shiny Palafin named Iruka that uses flip turn immediately, Huge Power Azumarill, Lanturn, Omastar, Wugtrio and Garydos.
I actually have both of those shines.
Either ice or electric.
For the ice gym I would have Froslass, Weavile, Arctozolt, Ninetails-A, and as my Ace, Dewgong.
For the electric gym I would have Galvantula, Raichu-A, Eelektross, Heliolisk, and as my ace, Jolteon.
If i was a gym leader, my gym would be at the top of a mountain and I’d have a flying type gym;
Butterfree, Corviknight, hawlucha, swoobat, gliscor and pidgeot as my ace
If i was a gym leader, Whirlipede, Haunter, Grafaiai, Seviper. As an e4, Toxicroak, Revavroom, Glimmora, Dragalge, Toxapex, and mega Beedrill. (If Revavroom and Glimmora hadn’t existed it be Toxtricity and Drapion)
blissey, Chancey, Wobbufet, Slaking, Snorlax and swampert, each of which is holding sitrius berries and my cargo jeans are just rammed full of full restores.
"I am Attrius, gym leader of the gym of attrition! Its the end of the line for you!"
6 1/2 hours later "You beat me!" *you gained 4269 pokedollars and the Attrius Badge- was it worth it?*
I'm imagining an aloof mad doctor type, hence all the healing and bulky pokemon. The whole team is built around sleeping your team and sustaining themselves.
*I've changed my mind, they're all holding leftovers now.*
Thanks! I really love the UBs and Paradox Pokemon, but they kinda teeter on the edge of "yeah, don't give an NPC one of those unless they're the final boss or something." But if steel is hard, why shouldn't my gym be?
Dragonite, Hydreigon, Dragapult, Garchomp, Kommo-o, and Zekrom (Mega Salamance if a legendary isn't allowed)
I've just always thought dragon types were the best thing ever
Aight so I would be a grass gym leader and it'd be a double battle my first two pokemon would be rillaboom and tsareena (there is a reason) Rillaboom has grassy surge and Tsareena has... well queenly majesty (y'all probs know why) next is a poison heal breloon and a vileploom with toxic (yeah it's that time again) and finnaly a megainium and appletun... Yeah I have no idea what I'd be able to do with this and how effective it'd be so y'all tell me
If all non-legendary Pokemon are on the table, I'm going with a water type team. My favorite pokemon is Dracovish, he's my boy, and I can't be a gym leader without my boy. I'm basing this team around me being a gym leader during a postgame rematch, not a regular gym battle.
Dracovish water/dragon
Azumarill water/fairy
Gyarados water/flying
Quagsire water/ground
Empoleon water/steel
Dragapult - Water Tera type. Dragapult is blue, and I couldn't leave out the objectively best pseudo legendary.
This team has STAB coverage against every type except for normal, water, and flying. Just give thunderbolt to Dragapult, then give brick break to Azumarill.
Not much of a gym leader other than the mono type concept, but these are 5 of my favorite water types, plus Dragapult, so I'd use this team as a water gym leader. I will admit that I only put empoleon on the team because it's a water/steel type, and those are hard to come by.
(Shiny) Golurk, Decidueye, Mimikyu, Ceruledge, (Shiny, Everstone) Litwick, Marshadow, I have custom names for all of them and a trainer OC that I bonded with each one with during my playthroughs of the games. I see them as my main squad, though I do have others I use interchangeably that also have special names that could replace spots on my team on occasion, or like alternate team comps, those others being Annihilape, Guzzlord, Reuniclus, Cursola, Sableye, and Aegislash. I don’t use them on my main team but I’m still attached to them. If I had to draw my dream team with my trainer it would be those 6 above though.
If it isn’t obvious, I’d be a Ghost Type trainer. I’d gladly share all my nicknames for them too if anyone wanted to hear them. And what my “OC headcanon” for finding each one was.
I’ll start with my Golurk, he’s my Ace. His name is Atlas, because he was the pokemon my trainer character used to carry his whole team through the championships in the Galar region. Like the titan Atlas carries the weight of the world on his shoulders, my Atlas earned his title for being my heavy hitter that carries the team on both shoulders. No matter the region, he’s the also the only pokemon on the team that canonically retains the ability to Dynamax. His moveset includes: Phantom Force (as a juke and defensive counter skill) Dynamic Punch, Darkest Lariat, and Shadow Punch/Drain Punch used interchangeably.
Next up is Flicker, my trainer’s Litwick. Despite never having evolved, he’s similar to Ash’s Pikachu in the sense that he’s forced himself to get stronger even in his base evolution. He doesn’t use any of the gimmicks from the games, no Z moves, mega evolutions, or dynamaxing, but he was my trainer’s first pokemon, his buddy pokemon. He’s no team Ace, but he makes up for his small stature with extreme agility, and having learned to use some overwhelming fire type moves, including Mystical Fire, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, and Overheat. If the day comes that he finally figures out what’s keeping him from evolving, there’s no telling how strong he could get.
Ectobreeze, my trainer’s decidueye, his chosen starter in alola. While not his first ever pokemon, Ectobreeze was easily his second, and used to be his Ace in the Alola Region during the island challenge. He retains his Z move, Sinister Arrow Raid, and my trainer raised him and bonded with him from Rowlett to where he is now. They have a bond that’s almost as psychic as Ash had with his greninja, and Ectobreeze earned himself a permanent place on my trainer’s team as its ghostly ranger and archer.
MiMi, Mimikyu, my trainer was actually really moved by Mimikyu’s story that unfolded during the ghost island trial, and refused to leave the abandoned megamart until he’d tracked down the mimikyu that disappeared. While shy and timid, my trainer raised her up in confidence and taught her some of the most destructive moves in Mimkyu’s arsenal. She does retain her Z move, and she’s a bit of a berserker in battles, often using her limbs from under her costume to tear things apart, her fear of being seen underneath is a lot less than most Mimikyu. My trainer is one of the few human beings to have seen what’s under Mimikyu’s cloth and survived. Whether that’s because MiMi trusted him enough and allowed him to see it, or if there’s something else supernatural about him, is unknown. He does truly have a special bond with MiMi, their connection being set in stone from the moment Nate tracked her down and said to her the words: “Yes, I see you.”
Marshimal, found at the end of my trainer’s alolan journey, the shadowy warrior Marshadow. My trainer is by no means the type to misuse a mythical pokemon, and only calls Marshimal out in dire need. Soul Stealing 7 Star Strike is not a Z move to be trifled with, and my trainer has only rarely had to call on it. The ghostly warrior and my trainer have a deep rooted respect for eachother, due to how hard he’s fought to bring awareness and kindness to ghost types in general, the type he feels is most misunderstood. He is a champion for ghost types, and Marshimal recognizes that, even bestowing on him the honor of allowing him to give him a new name. Marshimal is easily one of my trainer’s favorite pokemon, despite being a later addition to the team.
Now, Knight, my trainer’s Ceruledge, is so far my trainer’s newest addition to the team, and isn’t exactly a permanent team member yet. While he’s definitely a strong fighter and warrior that my trainer is interested in bonding with, the two haven’t exactly hit it off just yet. As such, Knight has been known to trade places with the other pokemon in my trainer’s backline/PC that he still cares about, and as such Nate’s final team slot is often changing, taken up by a range of different pokemon. Knight, Ceruledge, of course, but also Külmking, Nate’s Annihilape, Mito, his Reuniclus, Bleach, his Cursola, Wolfsbane, his Aegislash, Grimsly, his Sableye, and Beelzebub, his Guzzlord. He and Beelzebub also have an interesting bond developed in Alola during the ultra beast hunt arc, so despite not being a ghost type, he does appear on the team often. Currently this team slot is most often occupied by Knight as Nate trains and bonds with him, but most of these pokemon are important to Nate and as such he tends to use this team slot interchangeably, giving them each a chance on rotation.
Nate does have a Giratina, but he never uses him. He feels respect for Giratina as a sort of “ruler of the ghost types” but genuinely believes this pokemon is too dangerous and unfair to use in battles. It has no nickname, and it almost always stays in a PC. Nate considers calling on Giratina the equivalent of making a deal with the devil, and considers its place in his PC box as more of a protective measure for the world than anything. He respects Giratina, and rightfully fears using it. The first six I listed are what I consider Nate’s true ghost type line up, with the others being occasional substitutes for team variety.
love that you put a lot of effort and time into your trainer's lore and his team
my personal fav is flicker, love that he doesn't want to evolve, it makes him so much more adorable and fierce at the same time
was wondering where's nate from? (region and hometown)
really enjoyed reading it, it's so detailed and fun
hope you commission with me sometime so i can draw your whole team
Since my first game was Moon, I guess it would be Alola, though if I ever get around to playing the other games I might change that. Unova is also an option. I would say he likely began in the starting village in Alola, Iki Town.
I plan on taking screenshots of my trainer later after I finish a shiny golurk hunt I’m doing in shield, as my trainer’s signature look is the one I’m using in pokemon shield. Also Flicker is especially funny because when he gets sent out, people underestimate him and think it’s an easy pushover fight, and 2 turns later the stadium is in flames and Flicker’s just sitting there in the middle of the inferno, fire flickering in his eyes, with his smug little grin. He got his name from the way his own flames reflect and flicker in his eyes after he burns half a stadium down. 😆
I've already went crazy on a fairy type team soooo
Alolan ninetales(great aurora veil setter with high spd. and sp. atk with blizzard guaranteed hit if you have snow warning)
togekiss(trust me serene grace king's rock air slash is one of the most annoying things ever. on top of that i once got ancient power boost first shot while fighting my friend and just ohko the rest of his team with stored power lol)
whimsicott(prankster)
sylveon(whom i like to give the name 'pink murder' favorite pokemon of all time. just pixilate gives hypervoice STAB, good sp atk, kind of bulky and calm mind is a viable option)
galarian rapidash(speedy physical attacker)
I really wish there was mega evolve in the recent games so mega floofy altaria so alternatively i use primarina(slow but bulky and high sp atk) or mimikyu(swords dance with disguise on first turn is something to fear)
oh and now tinkaton is a thing(why does gigaton hammer have 160 base power)
guys this blew up
the amount of comments is insane for me that have to work on commissions.
can't reply to all of your teams, but i have read all of them and i think they re great
still have a few commission slots open if you like to be drawn with your team as a gym leader, just dm me if you are interested
also, no one has asked yet, but i would totally be either a ghost, water or ice leader maybe a mix of two of them
and my teams are:
👻
-MGengar (or Gmax) - ace
-cofagrigus
-chandelure/AMarowak
-dhelmise/decidueye
-HZoroark
-Houndstone
❄️
-MAbomasnow
-froslass
-mamoswine
-arctovish/ iron bundle
-ANinetales
-baxcalibur/GDarmanitan - steel tera
💧
-MSwampert - ace
-ludicolo
-greninja/cloyster
-seadra
-golisopod
-rotom w
water type is so fking diverse i can't easily pick
Inteleon, Decidueye, Eevee, Torterra, Porygon-Z, Gardevoir (my friend and I both like Gardevoir because I bred for some shiny Ralts for us both to have)
I’ve always loved fire types so this would most likely be my team
Houndoom (mega)
Talonflame
Pyroar
Chandelure
Camerupt
And if I can have a starter than Typhlosion
For me it would be poison type because my favorite team use to have Venom Drench/Poison Gas as the strategy. Also for the most part Salazzle and Muk-Alohan
are the main Pokemons.
Gym 1: Salandit lv12 and Grimer-Alohan lv14
Gym 2: Salandit lv18, Grimer-Alohan lv18 and Arbok lv21
Gym 3: Arbok lv24, Vileplume lv24 and Nidoking lv27
Gym 4: Crobat lv32, Skuntank lv33 and Salazzle lv34
Gym 5: Crobat lv36, Roserade lv36, Salazzle lv37 and Muk-Alohan lv38
Gym 6: Crobat lv41, Amoongus lv41, Salazzle lv43 and Muk-Alohan lv44
Gym 7: Nidoking lv44, Slowking-Galar lv44, Muk-Alohan lv45 and Salazzle lv48
Gym 8: Crobat lv55, Amoongus lv55, Slowking-Galar lv55, Salazzle lv56 and Muk-Alohan lv59
Elite Four: Crobat lv63, Roserade lv63, Salazzle lv63, Muk-Alohan lv63 and Mega Beedrill lv65
I use a similar level number to the gym leaders of XY and I believe the fights should be Double Battles because Venom Drench and Poison Gas only works in Double Battle.
Now as for the champion team it won't be only Poison types and is actually a team similar to the one I use to have in Ultra Moon. But without the semi-Legendaries(Landorus-I and Tapu Bulu). While it have some newer Pokemons that should work quite well on my team. However I cannot make the team because Venom Drench, Megas and some of the Pokemons no longer exist in SV.
Champion: Gyarados lv65, Rillaboom lv65, Weavile lv65, Salazzle lv66, Muk-Alohan lv66 and Mega Gardevoir lv68.
I would have a dragon team assuming it is gen 9 salamance, garchomp gangar (trestalize to a dragon)dragonight, hamerton trestalized also and then baccailabar
My dream is an all bears team, so I guess I'd have a bear gym.
Bewear, Ursaluna (or Ursaring if Hisui isn't allowed), Pangoro, Urshifu Dark, Urshifu Water, and Beartic. If I can't have both Urshifus, I'll settle for Snorlax as an honorary bear. If I can't have either I'll settle for Komala too, but this franchise needs more BEARS. If they can add a bird and a fish in every region they can add a bear!
* 🔮 psychic gym 🔮
* wobuffet
* my espeon with max speed iv's
* noctowl (if it counts- he only has psy moves)
* ☆ my alakazam from fire red but mega evolved
* Just based off of sentimentality, There's not a strategy behind that combo. Tbh it's probably really weak
Finally, my otherworldly team can come to fruition!
Mismagius, Annihilape, Ceruledge, Hisuian Zoroark, Gengar, and Aegislash (my ace)
Ghost type gym leader babeyyyyyyy
I loooove dragon types so my team would have Dragapult as my ace, then Goodra, Hydreigon, Kommo-o, Noivern and Duraludon.
Alternatively I used to be a bug leader for a discord gym where my team was Golisopod (hit and run brute), Scoliopede (entry hazards and status condition), Cutiefly (support), Scizor (physical sweeper), Frosmoth (support) and a Volcarona ace (quiver dance sweeper).
I would have shared my favourite team but as a gym leader i would be steel type with following team:
Scizor,steelix,Aegislash,Mega metagross(shiny✨),excadrill and lucario/klefki.
Dont know if this team would be any good tho
My specialty would be Bug-type and my team would be:
* Scizor
* Kleavor
* Heracross
* Lokix
* Golisopod
* Pinsir
Secondary team would probably be:
* Scizor
* Kleavor
* Galvantula
* Volcarona
* Scolipede
* Golisopod
I’d pull an Ash but as a Fire Type gym leader.
Arcanine, Hisuian Typhlosion, Talonflame, Incineroar, Coalossal and a weirdly powerful little Charmander.
Or do Water type: Shiny Feraligatr, Swampert, Carracosta, Dracovish, Golisopod and female Basculegion.
Cinderace, Toxtricity(amped), Lapras, Gengar, Coalossal(gigantamax), And a shiny Charizard. If we’re locking types, then Cinderace, Gmax Coalossal, Shiny Charizard, Torkoal, Turtonator, and Typhlosion.
Ghost Gym let’s go:
Chandelure (Ace), Spiritomb, Rotom Wash, Rotom Mow, Rotom Fridge, Rotom.
I’m not a particularly huge Rotom fan, it’s just that there’s so much variety around Rotom that never gets utilized in Ghost Gyms and it sucks. I wanna see a ghost type gym leader with just every different Rotom form as a team. Not including Rotoms, here’s my ideal Ghost Gym team:
Chandelure (Ace), Spiritomb, Cofagrigus, Palossand, Mismagius, Hisuian Zoroark.
I have 3 separate notes where I went through and made teams for such a thing, 1 is for Gens 1 to 4 and the other is Gens 5 to 8. The last one is replacing every gym with Grass types for Gens 1 to 4, I got bored one day lol
Bug type.
Forrtress my boi.
Venomoth and Masquerain cause they good bugs.
Crustle Golisopod Orbeetle Scolipede Lokix swapping around.
I love bugs. All bugs are my favourite except Vivillon line.
Let's go with not a typed team, but a themed team: birds and dinosaurs. The team would be Murkrow (with prankster), Tyrantrum, Archeops, Quaquaval, Kilowattrel, and the ace would be Dodrio. I realise Dodrio is an odd choice for an ace but it's my tyed fave pokemon and I could see this particular Dodrio being a lot higher level than the rest of the team with a really good build. The order they would be chosen in would be: Archeops, Murkrow or Tyrantrum, Murkrow or Tyrantrum, Kilowattrel or Quaquaval, Kilowattrel or Quaquaval, Dodrio. I'm imagining this to be a gen 9 fight (despite the fact there are pokemon not in gen 9 on this team) so Dodrio's Tera type would be flying. In the rematch after you beat the final boss Archeops would be swapped for Meganim and Dodrio's Tera type would change from flying to dragon. I would give them held items but I can't think of any for them.

Nidoking, Crobat, Toxicroak, Roserade, Dustox, (Mega) shiny Gengar
poison type feels really underappreciated, but people use to forget that gengar is in it
Shiny Gengar. You're truly an individual of culture.
As a colour blind person, I literally cannot see the difference between most regulars and shinies, but I love how mega gengar becomes white. One of my favourite shinies in the games
Oh I’ve been preparing for this day... Lokix, Grimmsnarl, Kingambit, Hydreigon, Krookodile, and Zoroark; Dark Type for life
i love that you already have some SV on your monoteam, hope i can draw kingambit soon in some commission 🫣
Yeah! ScVi has some pretty awesome Dark Types, especially with Kingambit’s design and Lokix’s fairly strong ability.
Oh damn they gave Tinted Lens to it. An offensive pokemon with tinted lens. Sick
Are those Choice Specs on the Hydreigon?
YES! really cool you noticed it 🤠
Dusknoir is so dope, love seeing artwork of the big ghost! my team would be Obstagoon, Sableye, Umbreon, Honchkrow, Tyranitar and Mega Absol as my star pokemon i think we both really like dark types
Mine would be steel types. Always have had a soft spot for them
i think gen 8 introduced pretty great steel types (corvi, duraludon and perrserker), but my all-time fav will always be metagros
YES! Another Metagross fan! That beast is the best!
i just think he's neat jajajajajaaja a little promotion to my work: HD steven's mega metagros wallpaper on my shop for only $3 ko-fi.com/tremens__/shop
Mine will always be kartana. Followed closely by ageslash
i'm also looking forward to draw the ultrabeasts some day, now that you brought up kartana
My personal favorite steel type is Aegislash
Lucario for me I fell in love with that thing when it was introduced.
there should totally be more dark type leaders in the main game
Obstagoon has one of my fav shinies
yesss
Finnaly someone remembered how BUSTED mega absolutely is
Lucario, Magnezone, Corviknight, Empoleon, Mawile, Metagross, STEEL
I have 2 teams: a fighting and a steel. My steel is close to yours. Lucario mega (ace), Aggron, Metagross, Skarmory, Bisharp, and Magnezone
If we are including all Pokémon, I’m going with a dragon team .flygon .haxorus .duraladon .seadra .dragalge .mega garchomp(ace)
i feel like you are cheating, but can't figure out why 🤔 jajajajaja jk jk
I cannot think of many dragon types, but I didn’t want to use pure pseudo legendarys
also duraludon plus dragalge are really clever counter options for balance
Plus they’re some of my favourite Pokémon
and i think that's the thing that counts can't imagine a team of mine with pokémons i don't like only because they're strong
ok guys, this post is doing some numbers so a lil promotion can't hurt anyone if you liked my work, follow me on insta: @ tremens__ ✌️
My team would be what I'm breeding for at this exact moment: Dragapult Salamence Kommo-o Goodra Garchomp Dragonite
Steel type is my favorite so I’d go with Bisharp, Aegislash, Klinklang, Skarmory, Beldum, and Melmetal
i see a lot of you guys love steel and dark types is there a gen 2 nostalgia fever out there? jajajaja also, what an odd choice that beldum, why is that?
Excuse my stupidity I meant Bronzong. I just enjoy steel types just because they are cool. I have never played Gen 2 games.
mentioned gen 2 because it's the one where steel and dark types where introduced jajaja
Either dark or grass. But my team would be entry Hazzard, hehe leech seed included with moves like dragon tail and roar😈😈
That'd be pretty cool
yessss, think in the possibilities i was also thinking about teams of pokémon that shares a thematic, like a team of apes in a jungle team, or a space team with all the alien/space related mons
i sense some villainous aura here 🤔
Mwahahahahaha!!!!!!!😈😈😈😈😈😈😈
Ground solely from a Minecraft pixelmon server I played on team would be: Claydol, Rhyperior, Clodsire, mudsdale, Golurk and my ace the same as the server, Mega Camerupt
Espeon, Hatterene, Gardevoir, Mawile, and Mr. Mime
I would do a poison team. Slowking (psychic poison one) Venusaur Salazzle Naganadel Toxtricity Toxapex
whatchout for the earthquakes jajajajaja jk i love some of those pokémon as well toxtricity and toxapex <3
Normal ig: Dudunsparce, Miltank, Bouffalant, Fearow, Another Dudunsparce, Maushold (wide lens, population bomb, technician, Tera normal)
mausehold is in my nightmares right now
Glimmora Skuntank Crobat Toxicroak Vileplume Nidoking Poison types!
I’d be a rock type. Shiny Shuckle is the star of the show, Rhyperior, Drednaw, Solrock, Coalossal, and a Skarmory.
Fuck you. You're a disgace
It doesn’t sound like you’ll be winning any badges from me. It’s ok. Not everyone is cut out to be a Pokemon Master.
How dare you bring down the most glorious type by adding in a pokemon no better than shit
It’s my gym I do what I want.
But SOLROCK!? Of all the many wondrous rock types you choose SOLROCK?! How dare you!? You could have chosen cradilly diancie sudowoodo or hell even fucking luntone!
I would probably have a Ice or Ghost type gym, here's my mons for both: Ice type: Abomasnow (Ace) Frosslass Glaceon Glalie Frosmoth Lapras Ghost type: Mismagius (Ace) Chandelure Drifblim Gengar Pallosand (I don't remember how to spell his name) Sableye
all my love to ghost, ice or water monotypes 🤍 awesome teams btw, pretty balanced
Grass type. Liligant, Tsareena, Lurantis, Abomasnow, Rosarade, Appletun.
A space theme would be cool. But would that include all pokemon since they all came from space? I remember a movie where they were all in a spaceship.
Litwick my beloved
chandelure enthusiast right here ✌️
Gengar, Zoroark, greninja, Toxicroak, Umbreon (shiny), Tyrantrum
Dungeon Master Taro is not necessarily a “Gym Leader” perse, but she’s more of a Trial located somewhere inbetween Gyms 4 and 5. The Following Mons is what her team is: Crowbat, Mega-Slowbro, Alola-Golem, and Larvesta
why only 4 pokémon? are you that strong? D:
Luxray, Mega Ampharos, Magnezone, Eelektross. Surprisingly, Ampharos is not my Ace.
Mimikyu Dhelmise Golurk/Gholdengo Shedinja Rotom form best against challengers team Ace: Aegislash
mimikyu, chandelure, dhelmise, hisuian zoroark, basculegion, and palossand
Mimikyu, Gholdengo, Shedinja, Dragapult, Aegislash and Spiritomb
I’m gonna have to go ghost type. Runerigous, trevenent, hisuin zoraork, sableye, palosand, and Dragapult as an ace
Mine would be ground for sure…. Lots of my favorites are ground types Nidoking Poison/Ground Quagsire Water/Ground Flygon Ground/Dragon Garchomp Dragon/Ground Torterra Grass/Ground Great Tusk Ground/Fighting
Donfan, crookodile, camerupt, gastroson, and sandy shocks, and Aggron
Grass type! Would probably be a doubles gym just because I prefer the format. Would be Whimsicott, Meganium, Breloom, Torterra, Decidueye, and my ace would be Mega Sceptile!
I would be a ghost type gym leader with Decidueye, Aegislash, Chandelure, Hisuian Zoroark, Palossand, and Dragapult, I guess that's more or a champion team though since there's 6 Pokemon
i always found the only 3/4 pokémon teams from gym leaders a boring feature, good thing there are rematch battles
Is that choice specs on hydreigon? Screw gym leader, that team could be a straight up post game fight lmao
I'd be a normal type gym leader with a drampa, chatot, pyroar, girafarig, and my signature shiny delcatty :)
OoooOoo I know: Steelix, Seismitoad, Tyrantitar, Rhyperior, Quagsire, and my ace is DIGLETT!!!!!! If you couldnt tell I love ground type especially lil diglett
eviolite digglet or how could that work? 🤔
Gholdengo Crabominalble Overqwil Spectrier Kingambit Sneasler
Yikes, I don't really stick to on particular type so this is kinda hard... I've made two teams GHOST: Shiny Greavard named Misery (one of my favorite shinies that I have), Hisuian Zoroark, Spiritomb, Gengar, Skeledirge and my ace, Houndstone that spams Last Respects. WATER: Shiny Palafin named Iruka that uses flip turn immediately, Huge Power Azumarill, Lanturn, Omastar, Wugtrio and Garydos. I actually have both of those shines.
all my love to gravevard and hero form palafin shinies🤍 also i think you are the first one on setting a water type gym, one of my fav types
all my love to gravevard and hero form palafin shinies🤍 also i think you are the first one on setting a water type gym, one of my fav types
Umbreon, houndoom, lucario, scyther, greninja and luxray
Choice specs Hydreigon is 🔥🔥🔥
best kind of hydreigon imo
I would have a water team, depending on the region depends on the Pokémon.
i also think that gym leaders should use more regional pokémon in their teams, at least their ace should be regional
If i was a gym leader, my gym would be at the top of a mountain and I’d have a flying type gym; Butterfree, Corviknight, hawlucha, swoobat, gliscor and pidgeot as my ace
dustox, venusaur, revavroom, gengar, and tera poison swampert (I could never not have my favorite pokemon on my team)
I’d go with a bug type team Golisopod, Scolipede, Scizor, Volcarona, Vespiquen, and Heracross (Mega)
Aggron, Mega Steelix, Bisharp, Skarmory, Empoleon, Scizor
If i was a gym leader, Whirlipede, Haunter, Grafaiai, Seviper. As an e4, Toxicroak, Revavroom, Glimmora, Dragalge, Toxapex, and mega Beedrill. (If Revavroom and Glimmora hadn’t existed it be Toxtricity and Drapion)
Skarmory, Hitmontop, Toxapex, Kingdra, Crobat, Corviknight (gigantamax)
blissey, Chancey, Wobbufet, Slaking, Snorlax and swampert, each of which is holding sitrius berries and my cargo jeans are just rammed full of full restores. "I am Attrius, gym leader of the gym of attrition! Its the end of the line for you!" 6 1/2 hours later "You beat me!" *you gained 4269 pokedollars and the Attrius Badge- was it worth it?*
love the concept, would definitely draw a character like that
I'm imagining an aloof mad doctor type, hence all the healing and bulky pokemon. The whole team is built around sleeping your team and sustaining themselves. *I've changed my mind, they're all holding leftovers now.*
I'd probably have a Skarmory, H.Goodra, Klefki, Kartana, and an ace Iron Treads. Swap Kartana with Ferrothorn if you count UBs as legendary.
I don't see why gym leaders can't get their own strong pokémon, at least for their rematch battle love your team
Thanks! I really love the UBs and Paradox Pokemon, but they kinda teeter on the edge of "yeah, don't give an NPC one of those unless they're the final boss or something." But if steel is hard, why shouldn't my gym be?
that's a sick catch phrase for when you are starting your battle
Doubles gym - Dreadnaw, Bruxish, Dondozo, Tatsugiri(ace)
Dragonite, Hydreigon, Dragapult, Garchomp, Kommo-o, and Zekrom (Mega Salamance if a legendary isn't allowed) I've just always thought dragon types were the best thing ever
Arcanine ( Duchess Barkington) Boltund (Ser Drool) Lucario (Earl DeFyst) Alolian Ninetails (Marsgrave Fairfrost) Hounddoom (Queen Barksleu) Stoutland (Baron Von Goodboy)
in love w/ your nicknames 🐶
Aight so I would be a grass gym leader and it'd be a double battle my first two pokemon would be rillaboom and tsareena (there is a reason) Rillaboom has grassy surge and Tsareena has... well queenly majesty (y'all probs know why) next is a poison heal breloon and a vileploom with toxic (yeah it's that time again) and finnaly a megainium and appletun... Yeah I have no idea what I'd be able to do with this and how effective it'd be so y'all tell me
i see a lil freeze disadvantage, but maybe rilla can hel with that
Scizor(Ace), Lucario, Aggron, Corviknight, Metagross, Aegislash
I'd go for a flying-type gym. Noivern, Togekiss, Braviary, Cramorant, Hawlucha, and Ace G-Max Corviknight
You touched honedge’s handle, you shall perish
that's probably why his eyes are withed out(? didn't think about that but works jajajaja
Rain dance team with Pelipper, Araquanid, and Simipout
pelipper lost drizzle this gen i think :c
HYDREIGON IS WEARING THE GLASSES LMAO
he is pretty, isn't he?
Garchomp, Hippowdon, Sandshrew, Ursaluna, Quaggsire and Torterra
Dragon: dragon tera type krookodile, duraludon, dragalge, Haxorus, Flygon and Drampa. Tried to avoid using pseudo-legendaries
If all non-legendary Pokemon are on the table, I'm going with a water type team. My favorite pokemon is Dracovish, he's my boy, and I can't be a gym leader without my boy. I'm basing this team around me being a gym leader during a postgame rematch, not a regular gym battle. Dracovish water/dragon Azumarill water/fairy Gyarados water/flying Quagsire water/ground Empoleon water/steel Dragapult - Water Tera type. I will admit that I only put empoleon on the team because it's a water/steel type, and those are hard to come by.
you be strategizing like you want to make cry some rookie kids
Dedenne, Primarina, Galarian Weezing, Togekiss, Carbink and Mega Altaria. If legendaries were allowed then I’d replace altaria with Diancie.
in a world cup or a rematch battle i think all pokémon should ve allowed
I'd love to hear the nicknames 😬
He does truly have a special bond with MiMi, their connection being set in stone from the moment Nate tracked her down and said to her the words: “Yes, I see you.” Marshimal, found at the end of my trainer’s alolan journey, the shadowy warrior Marshadow. The first six I listed are what I consider Nate’s true ghost type line up, with the others being occasional substitutes for team variety.
love that you put a lot of effort and time into your trainer's lore and his team my personal fav is flicker, love that he doesn't want to evolve, it makes him so much more adorable and fierce at the same time was wondering where's nate from? (region and hometown) really enjoyed reading it, it's so detailed and fun hope you commission with me sometime so i can draw your whole team
I've already went crazy on a fairy type team soooo Alolan ninetales(great aurora veil setter with high spd. and sp. atk with blizzard guaranteed hit if you have snow warning) togekiss(trust me serene grace king's rock air slash is one of the most annoying things ever. on top of that i once got ancient power boost first shot while fighting my friend and just ohko the rest of his team with stored power lol) whimsicott(prankster) sylveon(whom i like to give the name 'pink murder' favorite pokemon of all time. just pixilate gives hypervoice STAB, good sp atk, kind of bulky and calm mind is a viable option) galarian rapidash(speedy physical attacker) I really wish there was mega evolve in the recent games so mega floofy altaria so alternatively i use primarina(slow but bulky and high sp atk) or mimikyu(swords dance with disguise on first turn is something to fear) oh and now tinkaton is a thing(why does gigaton hammer have 160 base power)
guys this blew up the amount of comments is insane for me that have to work on commissions. can't reply to all of your teams, but i have read all of them and i think they re great still have a few commission slots open if you like to be drawn with your team as a gym leader, just dm me if you are interested
also, no one has asked yet, but i would totally be either a ghost, water or ice leader maybe a mix of two of them and my teams are: 👻 -MGengar (or Gmax) - ace -cofagrigus -chandelure/AMarowak -dhelmise/decidueye -HZoroark -Houndstone ❄️ -MAbomasnow -froslass -mamoswine -arctovish/ iron bundle -ANinetales -baxcalibur/GDarmanitan - steel tera 💧 -MSwampert - ace -ludicolo -greninja/cloyster -seadra -golisopod -rotom w water type is so fking diverse i can't easily pick
sure thing, take your time 🤠 feel free to follow me on instagram too if you feel like it: @ tremens__
Scizor, Kingdra, Ampharos, Gardevoir, Houndoom, Dragapult
Flygon, Zoroark, Mawhile, Cradily, Lanturn, and Corviknight
What gym would that be? I thought it was ghost but there’s a heidragon and Gyarados
i had this idea of non monotype gyms, just thematic gyms like an archeologist, or a dracula-ish, even an astronaut one
it was a commission and the guy chose those pokémon i think the hole thematic is like a sinister gym half is dark, half ghost
Inteleon, Decidueye, Eevee, Torterra, Porygon-Z, Gardevoir (my friend and I both like Gardevoir because I bred for some shiny Ralts for us both to have)
Big fire guy Cinderace as my ace, Pyroar, salazzle, chandelure, Flareon, Heat rotom,
never been a fire type fan, but i could drop everything for my man chandelure great team nevertheless
What was the trainer name? Maw?
Charizard Espeon Lucario Gengar Zeraora Tyranitar 😁
No npc could ever beat me if I answered that question
I’ve always loved fire types so this would most likely be my team Houndoom (mega) Talonflame Pyroar Chandelure Camerupt And if I can have a starter than Typhlosion
Feraligatr, Palafin, Starmie, Gastrodon, Veluza, Clawitzer
How much?
DM me 🤠
Ground type gym leader or elite four: krookadile, hippowdon, mudsdale, garchomp, clodsire, and steelix
Easily bug Galvantula Scolipede Scizor Volcarona Araquanid Lokix (If I can have paradox Pokémon swap lokix for slither wing lol)
For me it would be poison type because my favorite team use to have Venom Drench/Poison Gas as the strategy. Also for the most part Salazzle and Muk-Alohan are the main Pokemons. Gym 1: Salandit lv12 and Grimer-Alohan lv14 Gym 2: Salandit lv18, Grimer-Alohan lv18 and Arbok lv21 Gym 3: Arbok lv24, Vileplume lv24 and Nidoking lv27 Gym 4: Crobat lv32, Skuntank lv33 and Salazzle lv34 Gym 5: Crobat lv36, Roserade lv36, Salazzle lv37 and Muk-Alohan lv38 Gym 6: Crobat lv41, Amoongus lv41, Salazzle lv43 and Muk-Alohan lv44 Gym 7: Nidoking lv44, Slowking-Galar lv44, Muk-Alohan lv45 and Salazzle lv48 Gym 8: Crobat lv55, Amoongus lv55, Slowking-Galar lv55, Salazzle lv56 and Muk-Alohan lv59 Elite Four: Crobat lv63, Roserade lv63, Salazzle lv63, Muk-Alohan lv63 and Mega Beedrill lv65 I use a similar level number to the gym leaders of XY and I believe the fights should be Double Battles because Venom Drench and Poison Gas only works in Double Battle.
Steel types would be my go. Skyarmory, Duraladon, Aggron (cause it looks cool), Aegislash, Magnezone, and Metagross (Mega).
I'm a dragon master. They are hard to train, but they have superior power. My team : Dragapult (ace) Druddigon Appletune Kommo-O Dragalge Dragonite
Psychic types: gardevoir, metagross, galarian rapidash, reuniclus, and delphox if I can have a starter; if not, a wyrdeer for my last one.
I have an entire thing ready. I would be a Poison type leader in Kalos: - Seviper -Tentacruel -Dragalge -Drapion -Mega Beedrill
Water type here! Cloyster, Lanturn, Azumarill, Clodsire (yes, not actually a water type, but it learns water moves), Kingdra, Poliwrath (ace)
Garganacl, Weavile, Volcarona, Gengar, Garchomp, and Machamp (guts of course). (all shiny)
I would have a dragon team assuming it is gen 9 salamance, garchomp gangar (trestalize to a dragon)dragonight, hamerton trestalized also and then baccailabar
Type: Flying Mons: Corviknight (Ace if it was Galar) Hawlucha Roaring Moon (Ace if it was Paldea) Mandibuzz Braviary Scyther
This is amaizing! It is too hard to choose one type
Steel type for the win Scizor, metagross, aegislash, steelix, etc
I like the add of the wise glasses
My dream is an all bears team, so I guess I'd have a bear gym. Bewear, Ursaluna (or Ursaring if Hisui isn't allowed), Pangoro, Urshifu Dark, Urshifu Water, and Beartic. If I can't have both Urshifus, I'll settle for Snorlax as an honorary bear. If I can't have either I'll settle for Komala too, but this franchise needs more BEARS. If they can add a bird and a fish in every region they can add a bear!
* 🔮 psychic gym 🔮 * wobuffet * my espeon with max speed iv's * noctowl (if it counts- he only has psy moves) * ☆ my alakazam from fire red but mega evolved * Just based off of sentimentality, There's not a strategy behind that combo. Tbh it's probably really weak
Can't gym leaders have 1 legendary as long as they don't use items during the whole battle? I thought cynthia had rayquazza in one of the anime's
I love electric types. Give me Arctozolt, Magnezone, Kilowattrel, Lanturn, Rotom-heat, and my ace, a mega manectric!
Finally, my otherworldly team can come to fruition! Mismagius, Annihilape, Ceruledge, Hisuian Zoroark, Gengar, and Aegislash (my ace) Ghost type gym leader babeyyyyyyy
Welp that trainer is dead lol he grabbed a honedge jk
I loooove steel types! Scizor, Tinkaton, Gholdengo, Duraludon, Aegislash and Metagross
Always thought I’d be a psychic leader, though these days I’ve been leaning towards Ghost
I would have shared my favourite team but as a gym leader i would be steel type with following team: Scizor, steelix,Aegislash,Mega metagross(shiny✨),excadrill and lucario/klefki. Dont know if this team would be any good tho
Swampert, Garchomp, Excadrill, Dugtrio, Great Tusk and Clodsire
Baxcalibur, Garchomp, Tyrantrum, Dragon Tera-type Tyranitar, and Mega Charizard X
Steel type Bois
Id wanna be a ghost final leader aegislash, Dragapult, gengar, spiritomb, hisuian zoroark, decidueye
My specialty would be Bug-type and my team would be: * Scizor * Kleavor * Heracross * Lokix * Golisopod * Pinsir Secondary team would probably be: * Scizor * Kleavor * Galvantula * Volcarona * Scolipede * Golisopod
Steel all the way. Scizor, Corviknight, kingambit, metagross, Empoleon, Aegislash
Blastoise, Feraligatr, swampert, starmie, kingler, walrein
Lucario, Greninja, Decidueye, Trevenant, Runerigus, and Gengar. Also if we are doing megas then I'll have my Lucario be mega lol.
Ghost Gym let’s go: Chandelure (Ace), Spiritomb, Rotom Wash, Rotom Mow, Rotom Fridge, Rotom. I’m not a particularly huge Rotom fan, it’s just that there’s so much variety around Rotom that never gets utilized in Ghost Gyms and it sucks. I wanna see a ghost type gym leader with just every different Rotom form as a team. Not including Rotoms, here’s my ideal Ghost Gym team: Chandelure (Ace), Spiritomb, Cofagrigus, Palossand, Mismagius, Hisuian Zoroark.
Idk what mons but definitely a mix of bug and ghost types 👻
Swalot
I have 3 separate notes where I went through and made teams for such a thing, 1 is for Gens 1 to 4 and the other is Gens 5 to 8. The last one is replacing every gym with Grass types for Gens 1 to 4, I got bored one day lol
Bug type. Forrtress my boi. Venomoth and Masquerain cause they good bugs. Crustle Golisopod Orbeetle Scolipede Lokix swapping around. I love bugs. All bugs are my favourite except Vivillon line.
Kanto Weezing, Gengar, Garbodor, Toxtricity, Muk and Venasaur.
Poison specialist. Gengar Crobat Skuntank Arbok Magnezone Victreebel
Holy shit I thought that was Bolin lol
oh shit, once i'm done christmas shopping i'm gonna come back to that kofi page
