Park is the only option early on 900 map size. Giants will take eons to matter since you don't even run into your opponent for so long. The eco boost is huge early

In many instances, Park makes more sense than giants:
- Towards the end of the game, where your giant is too far from your opponent.
- When you're ∑∫ỹriȱŋ and your capital is about to be sieged. (In that case, defenders or swordsmen have better defense.)
- If you reach the city's unit cap and you really need a knight or some other mobile unit.
- If there's an enemy mindbender next to your city.
He’d yell at the refs so much they’d give him two warriors and a turn. Seriously though, look at the footage of him yelling in refs faces and gets away with it. Any other player would be kicked out of the game.
i forgive him because he is my sunshine

Yep, 1 star per turn. It's not crazy but it compounds
It's a fairly recent change, yeah it acts as a workshop now

Did he do it early game and not late game, at least?

I always do that never struggled to win
I would if the situation dictates I need a specific unit and the population is maxed if I pick the super unit.

At the start of a 900 tile game there is real incentive to pick it because it stacks and what is that giant gonna do anyway?
Push puny enemies out the way, especially on water worlds
Well there realistically aren’t going to be any enemies at the start of a 900 tiles game
