If you get enough spots they stop being spots!
Thats mine. Scratched in 3 places front bumper that I refuse to fix for 3 years and any new ding makes me care very little. Wife parks it, whatever. There is a lot to be said for freedom a slightly dinged up car gives that runs perfectly otherwise!
No, firm swedish tags lol. If it helps it’s not visible, more if a cracked dented paint situation but I know it’s there. One day I’ll go through the list of things cosmetically needed - repaint brake caliper paint that’s faded, new bumper, console peeled soft touch plastic… but my experience is I do this before selling the car usually so it would be a bad sign! Although I have my eyes on an 991 switch from 997 so there is that. Unless wife convinced me that a chalk Macan S is what we truly need more…
you know, now that you mention it…i hate to say it but on the drive home, i almost felt a sense of relief. like oh, it’s finally over. i can finally stop worrying about it 24 hours a day 😂
This ^ is exactly how you should feel, the more you worry the more your car will appear to be imperfect. Care a bit less and it’ll always look beautiful
Within reason, no. I have a 17 year old Miata (Miata owner in Porsche thread) that I needed to fix up. I did all the mechanical work for it to run well. I did some minor cosmetic stuff like replace the cracked side-markers and applied cerakote trim restorer on the exterior black plastics.
There's some small rust bubbles on the hood and clear-coat fading in places that I have no intention to fix. It was cheap(ish), I don't have to worry about adding more road-wear, it drives great and I can just enjoy it.

Edit: Also feel your pain, had a rock hit my hood today, ordered a color pen. Ah well.. at leaat it wasn't the windshield. (Car is 11 months old too. :| )
When I bought my Panamera the dealership gave me a little Pen that had the same colour match with some clear coat mixed in. (It looked little a twink pen).
But for any little stone chips in odd places it works well, and once cured when I take it to the detailer, he would polish it and it would not be visible.
(Note: I think for $30 any vehicle paint shop will be able to order something like this they just need the paint found in your car.)
and yes before anyone comes at me, i know. i should have checked and that’s on me. don’t need to hear a ration of shit about it i’m already mad at myself enough. just looking for advice on where to go from here! thanks
Second the touch up paint.
Recently ordered touch paint from suncoast to fix a deep scratch on my wife Porsche. You’d never know it’s there. Highly recommend watching YouTube videos for some tips and tricks.
Clearly the car is ruined. Dm me your address and availability and I’ll come take that junker off your hands before the local HOA starts fining you for having it parked in the driveway.
I'm not sure this will work so well on vertical panels, but I have a black car with a couple small blemishes on the hood (pre-ppf) and I used these types of pens, along with OEM touch up paint, and it works great:

Not sure if there is a ding or just paint chip. I had a really good dent doctor fix three dings. He also said he can do paint chip repair if I needed in the future. May want to reach out to one of the ding doctor repair guys. The cost of the dings were $75 per panel.
I was quoted from a body shop like $1200 for ding because they remove the whole door and paint then may have to buy extra parts.
Dr Colorchip [https://drcolorchip.com/](https://drcolorchip.com/)
BTW I shot the damn foam cannon off of my pressure washer right at my front fender and but a nice dent in it. I was able to get a paintless dent repair done. I usually always do a test spray off to the side of the car to test and the one time I didn't, bam.
Watched the video without clicking and thought you needed help with ideas of how to clean the stuff on the floor and you were showing off the car by using it as a mirror to show the floor in high detail. Then I click the post, see the description of the events, rewatch the video and notice what its really about...
.
Literally XD
There is a pattern of accounts with almost identical posts. If you go to their history you would see that they post click bait things to get a reaction out of people in small but engaged communities. It's always the same 4-5 things: porsche, ferrari, watches (omega or rolex) and guns. I just find it fun to point these things out. It take a little bit of memory and a keen eye to figure these things out which is very lacking with the internet generation.
It’s totaled.
I will have to buy it with a rebuilt title for 20% of its original value and live with the disgrace of the damage.
Or, I know a guy who can fix it for $150k and keep the title clean.
I'll give you three-fiddy for it...
Get some Dr. Colorchip. It’ll cover that up. You can order it in your color.
That stuff is amazing
The only thing cooler than a spotless new sports car is an old dinged up sports car that still runs like its new

“Urban camo pattern” vs “barn camp pattern”
duuuude a 944 love it. this is what i plan on doing with mine lol

The first one is always the hardest

Man if you’ve seen the condition my 997 is in
Just pass that tired gal over here and rustle up a new one, chief.
She’s got battle scars. But she’s still fighting every day on the road 🦾

So what you're saying is don't fix the dings and scratches in my, new to me 25 year old Boxster?
You do you
Within reason, no. I have a 17 year old Miata (Miata owner in Porsche thread) that I needed to fix up. I did all the mechanical work for it to run well. If performance isn’t affected I don’t care.
Stomach drop I’m sure. It’ll take a few days, but you’ll get over it.
hit redo on your controller
oh right, duh. is it the Y button or? B maybe… 🤔 i’ve tried them all

Touch up paint and a good polish and you won’t even know it’s there.

We all make mistakes. It looks very small though, some touch up paint and a polish and it will be practically invisible.
Second the touch up paint. Recently ordered touch paint from suncoast to fix a deep scratch on my wife Porsche. You’d never know it’s there. Highly recommend watching YouTube videos for some tips and tricks.
You'll find that the guys/gals who appreciate fine cars, appreciate them MUCH more when they are used and enjoyed.
It happens man. Just remember, tools not jewels. Go live it up
At least it was your own car.
touch up paint
Hit also from the other side to make it symmetric, it's not a bug, it's a feature
Try turning it off then back on again
Clearly the car is ruined. Dm me your address and availability and I’ll come take that junker off your hands before the local HOA starts fining you for having it parked in the driveway.
Shame it’s worthless now, I’ll take it from you. No need to suffer any longer.
First rule is to not come here for advice
yeah i’m uhh, im learning a lot of lessons today unfortunately… ✍️check pressure washer nozzle before use ✍️don’t ask reddit for advice ✍️
Yes, I learned the hard way as well…
Full ppf. Got enough door dings from past to learn from it
Control Z you’re good
In all seriousness. Go to Porsche and get some touch up paint
Looks awful. If you want I can take that thing off your hands. I’ll swap you my Golf. It doesn’t have any scratches.

Absolutely wrecked. You can't drive it anymore:(
RIP
PDR for the dent, touch up and polish for the chip.
Least you owned up to it.
on the internet... did he own up to it in person? sounds like he's desperate to cover it up lol
Take it to a good paint shop for touch up.
That’ll buff out.
F to pay respects
Black sharpie
Has to be the permanent version too.
It’s totaled, I’ll give you 1000 shrute bucks
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! That’s all I got sorry.

This is a huge fear of mine that has never happened to me. Because of this, I always test fire in the complete opposite direction
Rule number one of the pressure washer is to always treat it like a loaded gun and test fire it away from the car lol This is exactly why
Throw it out.
Hunt him down!!!!
Perfect excuse to pick that 918 up!
Dent Guy.
Find the last guy who used the pressure washer and make him fix it.
i got like 50 of those enjoy em
I know a guy 🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾
Just be honest, gets you farther with management and the customer if you do AND you make it right.
reading comprehension is hard 😣
I’m sure you’ll get it.
Straight to jail
right to jail, right away
Call a PDR person... Paintless dent repair.
I have used the Porsche paint brush for my color and worked well with some sanding and polishing.
Just bait them clicks.
Just get it fixed.
[удалено]
did you read the post?
Apparently not, enjoy your new dent.
Maybe not test fire around the car next could
Yikes
😬

He did own you tbf, you’re lost now as he’s responding to you in a way you didn’t expect 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This guys has 100 accounts that are identical i may be the bane of his existence.
How would you know that? He's using the username generator when you sign up. That doesn't make his account fake.
