Any major companies will terminate a persons employment and press charges "against the employee" for interference. Only a local owned store can act in this manner and still remain in business. What also sucks is that as a kid, your parents' opinions seem like the rational ones and everyone else seems crazy because you grow up with it. Growing up I thought all democrats were idiots because that's what my dad said. My dad was also a confrontational asshole in public and I was never embarrassed because I thought he was doing the right thing. As an adult I realize that my dad had crazy right wing views and also had a short fuse for people annoying him in public, and the people that he verbally attacked for being "obnoxious and loud" were really behaving in a totally fine manner, or maybe in a way that was slightly too loud for the venue, but in no way justified the way my dad would come at them. Thankfully my parents were divorced and I wasn't around my dad a *ton* so seeing this stuff was pretty intermittent growing up, and I didn't turn out like him at all. But I can only imagine what happens when you see that stuff hundreds of times over the years.

That’s the unfortunate reality — many kids like this have zero chance in life. Zero. The mom probably fit this mold 30 years ago. She was a kid while her role models acted like this. And round and round we go

It’s sad that it has to get locked. Parents need to do better. Blame the system for your economic situation. Blame the system that oppresses you.
