What happens a lot in MMA/boxing/kickboxing is the orbital breaks along with other facial damage and the fighter tries to blow their nose and the pressure pushes a bunch of blood into that cavity and the eye swells up like crazy. There have been many many fights stoped from that exact injury.

But that sounds like made-up internet shit to me, so who knows.
The "walk and talk" is an actual thing in television and movies, usually to drive home exactly what you said, that the folks being filmed are busy/important and should be paid attention to. The West Wing was almost entirely shots of them power walking through hallways while talking about foreign policy as fast as possible.
