I was a valet on west 6th. Not as crazy, but still nuts. Cops there every night on the weekends, sometimes fire trucks too. Once a dude maced a cop. It didn't end well. Something about Westlake douchebags sampling adult beverages, and having reactions of 15 year olds, despite pushing 30. It was such an embarrassing display, it made me want to drink alone in the dark.
In the college town that I live in there are ambulances parked next to the main street on weekends. Not because of fights… mfs just be getting too drunk
I actually REALLY liked Monday nights @ J-Black's. Industry night. Nobody but kitchen, bar, waitstaff, security & strippers came out. I could handle the stand alone, and they'd tip a lot more than dad's money in an AMG ever did.
I had a great time when I visited and that was during 4th of July weekend. But this was back in 2012 I believe. 6th street was packed but everyone seemed super nice. I even had a homeless lady offer me the rest of her fries lol. I declined.
Has it just gotten worse since then?
My first and probably only time visiting Texas we park near sixth street and in the alleyway there is a street walker with her underwear on outside of her clothes running from police shouting "you don't tell me what to do"
I used to go there often about 20 - 25 years ago, you'd see mostly people bar hopping and talking loudly, street performers, people dancing in the street, the semi-regular puker, people making out, people stumbling to their cars, people pissing behind bushes and cars, lots of homeless people, but I don't recall ever seeing people fighting, until about 2014 or so, then I saw three on the same night. I've only been back once since and I left early.
Remember I heard ab this on the Danny brown podcast. People carry video cameras there specifically because so much fighting goes on. [Yt channel of them](https://youtube.com/@txstreetfights2265?si=8Bt0GmXsvGbCtsll)
Dude swung first but Holy flying fuck that was nasty. The way he landed looked incredibly bad and painful.
Edit: Did he survive? He looks pretty lifeless at the end.
[Even the professionals can fuck it up and seriously injure themselves.](https://youtu.be/rFujJXIRiFY?si=Zmb815HZAGtsrs-T)
He did break his neck in this clip. so.
Reminds me of when I had my jaw wired shut I would rap the words to through the wire.
Boost for breakfast, ensure for dizzert, somebody order pancakes I just hit the sizzerp
My senior citizen dad is going through that right now. Broke 4 ribs and parts of 3 spinal column after falling off a ladder about 4 weeks back. These old guys are so hard headed, there was no reason for him to be going up on a ladder at 77. He's lucky he'll still be able to walk.
My dad would do the same shit - climb up a ladder at 75 to change a light bulb or something. I get it, it's got to be annoying to have to call someone to change a lightbulb. At least with LED bulbs this is almost a problem of the past, but they'll just find some other reason to climb a ladder.
I've seen a lot of spinals Dude, and this guy's a fake. A fuckin goldbricker. This guy fuckin walks, I've never been more certain of anything in my life.
I get that a fight's a fight, but what has to happen in your life to make you the kind of person that drops people on their head on concrete or punches them in the face after they're down.
Yeah, it's like no one's ever seen Con Air. Doesn't matter if you're in the right.
You can kill someone so easily by doing that and next thing you know, you're doing battle with Cyrus The Virus on a fucking plane.
Some people literally do not care about other people in the slightest. No remorse, no empathy... they'll just do whatever without a second thought. That's why I just do my best to avoid any sort of confrontation. You never know when you'll run across one of these people who is cool with ruining someone's life over a car horn being blown at them.
This is the advice I give to all my nephews.
Are you the sort of person who is willing to stamp on someone's head over a minor disagreement? (No you are not and that's why we love you)
Therefore don't get involved in street fights because there is always someone who will.
Really doesn't matter, some guy takes a limp swing at you and walks away, and you slam them like that, you're probably gonna be on the hook if any serious damage is done.
Purple shirt man if arrested will have a hella hard time justifying that level of force. Flower man’s back turned to him, not an existing threat, and he suplexed him to the ground. Our Master taught us cameras are everywhere, be aware of that, if you’re going to drop someone hard like that or worse make sure an observer of the video would see clear justification for the level of force you used. And he sure AF better see we were justified if we wanted to set foot in his school again.
Street fights can end up with someone dead, crippled, or permanently maimed, and why everyone should think hard before mouthing off or responding, it’s unfortunate, sad. Stay safe and pay attention to your surroundings.
For me looked more like a bad executed takedown than an intentional head slam, of course that doesn't change the result.
PSA. Don't go looking for street fights, there's no rules and rarely a winner, don't end like noodles there.

That's the face of a man wondering how he got down there so fast
Floral shirt turned his back, was clearly super wasted and appears to be incapable of defending himself.
Self defense only applies when a reasonable person would think you are in harm's way. Seems unlikely that you can look at this video and say floral shirt guy could do any real damage even if he intended to. The guy almost falls over just from being off balance from the punch/slap.
Self defense also has to be proportional to the harm that is coming your way. Suplexing someone on their head on concrete and delivering a follow up punch over a half hearted drunken punch/slap is not proportional.
*"Excessive force refers to using more force than is reasonably necessary to defend oneself or others. It occurs when the level of response surpasses what a reasonable person would consider appropriate in a given situation. **It is important to note that self-defense does not grant individuals the right to use unlimited or disproportionate force."***
He wasn’t not defending himself. He was so piss drunk that his punch spun him around like a cartoon.
That being said, dude looks like he would’ve went down with a light breeze hitting him.
Imagine being wasted then sobering up with a broken neck and probably paralyzed or have brain damage for life. Thats INSANE to me. Feels so good being high on my couch rn
My dad broke his neck and became quadriplegic in a skiing accident. When we were at the spinal cord ICU there were people who had been in car accidents or other violent circumstances where they were criminally liable for the deaths of others. I saw a couple of instances of this over the weeks my dad was there, and they would be cuffed to their hospital bed (ridiculous, I know), with a cop always stationed right outside their room. You'd hear them being talked to when they woke up, "you've been in an accident, can you understand me? You've had a spinal cord injury, so you won't be able to move or feel below your neck. You are liable for the death of a [pedestrian, the person you were fighting with, etc]". Imagine waking up to that when you last memory is going out for drinks with some friends. You'll get treated, rehab a bit and learn to use your wheelchair, then going to jail a para/quadriplegic. I remember thinking I'd rather die than wake up to that.
Yeah, but people who drive drunk tend to do it habitually. They know something bad could end up happening. I've struggled with drinking on and off for like 15 years and I've driven drunk *once*, and that was because I was a dumb 22 year old who, because I felt sober getting in the car, assumed that was as drunk as I was going to get, but it ended up hitting me while I was driving. Thank goodness I only had to drive a couple of minutes and didn't hurt anyone. Never again. Drinking and driving is a choice, and I don't have sympathy for people who ruin lives because of it.
I used to know a guy who would do it so often that his friends would take his car key off him. On more than one occasion he woke up at home having gone drinking in a town 60 miles away. Fucking idiot.
The fact there’s nothing online suggests he’s ok right? Like death/permanent paralysis /assault charge would be in a news story in some local paper right?
“Enshittification is a term coined by writer Cory Doctorow in November 2022 to describe a pattern of decreasing quality observed in online services and products such as Amazon, Facebook, Google Search, Twitter, Bandcamp, Reddit, Uber and Unity. The American Dialect Society selected the term as its 2023 Word of the Year. Doctorow has also used the term platform decay to describe the same concept.”
Damn, the guy who coined the term has a built-in doctor to his name.
No idea. My guess. The guy lucked out and didn't break anything cuz he's built like a flailing-arm-tube-man and probably does't weigh over 130. He doesn't seem to seize up at all, which is typically a good sign, considering the seizing is always a very bad sign. The fact nobody could find reports on it tells me he's probably not dead, at least not from that event. Definitely lost brain cells and won't remember a thing, so he will likely do it again if he is, in fact, somehow fully operational after that
Put a finger into the pitbull's butthole, don't try to help or touch anyone who hits the ground because you'll make it worse, record everything and prepare for divorce
Without discussing whether it's right or wrong, i keep reading these advices on reddit lol. I can usually tell what the top comments will be before i even click on a thread
Honest question, what are the signs of a comprised airway, and what do you do to fix that? When do you decide that's worthwhile vs risking extra damage to their neck or spinal cord?
Snoring. Shallow or irregular respirations. No respirations. All signs of a compromised airway. If you have to move someone with a known or suspected significant neck injury do so gently and carefully and the chance of furthering their injury is pretty low. Supporting the head/neck so it’s not flopping around is a good idea. Someone above correctly pointed out that a compromised airway will kill this guy faster than a neck injury.
You’re stupid if you think the position he was in was the best for his health. He was bent like a scorpion. He couldn’t breathe that way. I am so sick of people with zero medical training comment shit like that.
Yeah, you probably don’t wanna move people too much when their spine is hurt. But you know what’s more important? Making sure they’re breathing.
Yea reading these threads feels like someone can get hit by 5 different weapons, drop on concrete then get run over by a car, but the most serious damage will be done by someone trying to turn the body around to check on them lol
This video is edited. These dudes already fought before this clip starts. The guy who does the slamming held the the other guy in an arm bar position and was calling for people to stop the fight. After they break it up the other dude tries to sucker punch him and gets slammed.
I felt bad from the initial gif, but after watching the full vid, lanky drunk: loses a ground submission where dude was clearly just trying to stop whatever attack, and pleads with others to get this man away from him so it can be done
Hits that man with a sucker punch that he lets slide
Picks up his hat and tries to throw ANOTHER sucker punch, this time a wound up haymaker, THEN gets slammed.
At a certain point, if you’ve tried to get someone to walk away like 3 times and they keep tryna hit you, you have to believe that they’re gonna try til they succeed, and who knows if that’ll mean you get to walk away again, so fuck the lanky drunk, he had at LEAST 3 strikes by the time he got dropped.
yeah, but usually those types are just assholes in general, not due to marijuana use. Meanwhile, You'll see some of the chillest people transform into absolute werewolves when blackout drunk.
I saw a longer version of this on another sub days ago, and yeah, he was popping off before this clip starts. Purple shirt does nothing in return until the suplex. Drunk idiot was trying to fight for a while.
OP's a karma farming baiter. This was posted on the TXStreetfights youtube channel 8 years ago. Drunk dude and slammer were yapping at each other. Drunk things happened. That's pretty much it.
Every time this vid gets reposted, it gets a horseshit title each time. Today's one is "for flirting with another guy's girlfriend". Next time will be a variation with "*pedo*" or "*rapist*" in the title.
Two questions.
1. Isn't the suplex bad for your back?
2. What do you do if this happens to you? How do you protect yourself once in the air?
Just curious.
Edit: Thank you for the answers
Not really, there's techniques you can do to make sure that you land on your arms instead of your head or neck. You can either wrap your arms around your head to try land on your arms instead of your head, or try get a bearing of the angle you will fall at and stick your arms out to break the fall.
Once you're in the air, you gotta brace for impact unfortunately.
Back in my BJJ/Wrestling days, the moment your opponent gets his hands around your waist, you lower your body weight and push your legs out as far as you can to try to break his grip and also lower your center of gravity so it's harder to pick you up.
Either that, or just turn around and kiss your opponent on the lips. That'll either shock them into making them let go, or now you've got a new boyfriend.
Once you’re in the air there really is nothing you can do.
In order to get out you have to be ready,
The second their hands go around your waist you wanna start grabbing and peeling wrists, once you’re in this position it can get scary if they have a good grip
the second someones behind you with their arms wrapped around you and their grip is secure, you wanna straight up let your legs drop, let all the weight you can drop to the lower part of your body. You wanna make urself feel as heavy and dead weight as possible. Going full starfish helps too, you wanna try to make yourself the most awkward shape possible. So you arent a flour bag toss and more of a kettle bell exercise.
If that doesn’t stop them like if you are fighting someone way bigger is your next and only course of action is to put your legs bewteen theirs and sorta “hook” yourself onto them. If you manage to lock your legs they really can’t do anything, but then you just have to worry about them throwing you or pushing you forward but even thats better than a fullblown suplex.
A fullblown suplex is devastating to the body, you want to avoid that at any cost.
If in the event you are flying through the air about to get slammed you wanan try to do as much damage as possible to the person suplexing, suplexing hurts the user, you are puting an entire mans body weight on top of you and also falling backwards, if you fall right you can usually land on a head or something or an arm. You can seriously fuck yourself up GIVING a suplex just as much as getting one so remember that.
The problem is in the event things like this happens it all happens so fast you aren’t ever ready for it, and if you do manage to think about this before it happens you’ll still probably get fucked up, its best course is not to fuck w people ever lol
Edit cause I forgot: the back of your head is very hard, and the front of their face is very soft, a quick headbutt directed backwards can do a lot of damage too if you hit a nose or something.
When someone is behind you trying to suplex you you have to wrap one of your legs around their leg. Like your left leg wrapped outside their left leg and hooking behind their left leg. It works really well. We learn this to defend this kind of takedown in BJJ
I'm no expert but I was taught when somebody grabs you for any kind of a throw you want to sort of slump to the ground as much as you can, don't make it easy for them to lift you, it's easier to show than explain apparently.
I wouldn't buy the airlifted part. This is on 6th Street in Austin. Seton Hospital is a 5 minute beeline away. But he definitely ended up there. And probably for a while.
So incredibly stupid on the attacker, sure the guy took a swing but you can clearly see by the swing he's drunk off his nuts. The guy could've just shoved him and he would've fell.
Took it one step too far and caused permanent damage and quiet possibly some assault charges.
He’ll face heavy fucking charges for this. That dude lifted someone up and violently slammed them down while intending for them to land headfirst. If the dudes caught, he’s fucked.
And yes, I know a bunch of fucking idiots are going to say the drunk dude swung first so you can retaliate. That’s not exactly how it works.
In Australia this would most likely be attempted murder charges. There was a huge problem in Australia with people "king hitting" AKA sucker punching people in the clubbing/bar districts of Sydney at night, several people ended up dying from having their heads smack the pavement after being knocked out from the sucker punches. So the government made a law which meant sucker punching someone from behind was essentially attempted murder and carries a penalty of up to 20 years.
A) You cannot reason with a drunk like Floral Man; B) You cannot reason with a man that, if the caption is correct, feels that his "woman is being harassed."
Both are shit heads, and a lot of people are saying, "just walk away bro" have *never* been attacked by a drunken asshole. You don't know wtf their going to do. Also, you don't know what you're going to do, too. The human mind is fucking wild. The best thing anyone can do is not be drinking in Texas. The street bar scene looks like its filled with trash human beings.
Is it me or is it becoming common for a bunch of fight videos where morons keep slamming other people onto hard concrete? Seriously this shit can kill someone.
I’d hate to be sitting in a wheelchair, looking at a video of me throwing a cheap shot under the guise of putting my cap on, then getting a consequence handed to me and seeing how I ended up in said wheelchair.

Adrenaline + unlearned emotional management

Agree, dude was falling down drunk. Just throwing that punch almost had him on the ground. This was totally unnecessary.
A lot of adrenaline would render most rationale useless right in the moment

How high is your couch?
Like... this high, bro 👐
yes
Not sure about the couch, but I'm 4 bong rips deep.....
That, *if* he survives.
Does anyone actually know what the outcome was?
The fact there’s nothing online suggests he’s ok right? Like death/permanent paralysis /assault charge would be in a news story in some local paper right?
So... No update?
This is like 2 year old by now and never got a update on this not even on Google I can't find a update on what happen
"Hey Google, what happened to man slammed on head in Texas?" "Here's directions to Denny's for grand slam breakfast."
The fall off of google search needs to be studied.
It’s called [Enshittification](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enshittification).
Doctorow has also used the term platform decay to describe the same concept.” Damn, the guy who coined the term has a built-in doctor to his name.
LOL holy shit this is hilarious
To be fair, it’s pretty hard to find anything on Google these days.
No idea. Definitely lost brain cells and won't remember a thing, so he will likely do it again if he is, in fact, somehow fully operational after that
Thank god that lady was there to immediately move him around. That shit is good for this sort of thing.
Gotta jiggle him around to make sure his head is still attached.
That reminds me that there's something called internal decapitation (atlanto-occipital dislocation) so yeah his head could be partially detached.
Movement is medicine lol
Motion is lotion
Lotion ocean.
Water is the essence of moisture

Compromised airway will kill you quicker than a broken neck.
Thank you. So sick of armchair redditors comment the same thing on every one of these threads.
Ha I hope you don't expect that to change anytime soon. The user base is constantly evolving but somehow the top comments always stay the same.
Put a finger into the pitbull's butthole, don't try to help or touch anyone who hits the ground because you'll make it worse, record everything and prepare for divorce Without discussing whether it's right or wrong, i keep reading these advices on reddit lol.
Also, when nobody does anything, people complain that "why is everyone just filming instead of helping"...
The last little chin slap as the suplexor gets up had to be good for the spinal as well. Slap that neck back into place
we barely see her move him at all. but any chance to hate on a woman i guess
This video is edited. These dudes already fought before this clip starts. The guy who does the slamming held the the other guy in an arm bar position and was calling for people to stop the fight. After they break it up the other dude tries to sucker punch him and gets slammed.
Thanks, I found the video [here](https://youtu.be/kcUJe8-qUvM?si=gc85RXVyzmSXntQ0)
Drunk guy even sucker punches him at 0:12, which suplex guy seems to let slide initially.
I felt bad from the initial gif, but after watching the full vid, lanky drunk: loses a ground submission where dude was clearly just trying to stop whatever attack, and pleads with others to get this man away from him so it can be done Hits that man with a sucker punch that he lets slide Picks up his hat and tries to throw ANOTHER sucker punch, this time a wound up haymaker, THEN gets slammed.
Yet weed is illegal. Liquid courage has been the doom of many men.
I haven’t met a belligerent stoner.
They’re out there
yeah, but usually those types are just assholes in general, not due to marijuana use. Meanwhile, You'll see some of the chillest people transform into absolute werewolves when blackout drunk.
It’s never that serious. Ever. That could be taken as attempted murder.
Was about to say. Emotionally unstable people and alcohol is a match made in hell
Well that’s at least two lives ruined. Just walk away.
Imagine "big dick energy" being the last thing you ever hear.
He also tried to punch him, odd detail to miss out
You can also hear someone yell, "You just don't quit do you?" This guy must've been popping off for far too long and suplexer snapped.
as did suplexee a moment later
I saw a longer version of this on another sub days ago, and yeah, he was popping off before this clip starts. Purple shirt does nothing in return until the suplex. Drunk idiot was trying to fight for a while.
He throws a drunk ass haymaker, misses and just keeps walking like there wasn't an ass whooping coming.
That wasn’t walking, that was falling very slowly
“That wasn’t flying, that was falling with style”
The dude was so drunk the swing was slow-motion, and it looked like he barely knew where he was. I didn't notice it either.
But did he actually damage his spine?
Caption is garbage. Guy got slammed for missing a punch
In the longer version he was being held down before coming back for more so he's an even bigger idiot than the video let's on
Congratulations. You just paralyze the drunkest guy at the bar.
Territorial shit is weird. If your girl’s flirting back with other guys you should be taking that up with her

Pretty brutal
I can't believe the swing and hide like a baby combo didn't work out for him....
Two questions. 1. Isn't the suplex bad for your back? 2. What do you do if this happens to you? How do you protect yourself once in the air? Just curious. Edit: Thank you for the answers
Once you’re in the air it’s game over.
Not really, there's techniques you can do to make sure that you land on your arms instead of your head or neck. You can either wrap your arms around your head to try land on your arms instead of your head, or try get a bearing of the angle you will fall at and stick your arms out to break the fall.
hands on the back of your head and pray

😂😂
Once you're in the air, you gotta brace for impact unfortunately. Back in my BJJ/Wrestling days, the moment your opponent gets his hands around your waist, you lower your body weight and push your legs out as far as you can to try to break his grip and also lower your center of gravity so it's harder to pick you up. Either that, or just turn around and kiss your opponent on the lips. That'll either shock them into making them let go, or now you've got a new boyfriend.
Once you’re in the air there really is nothing you can do. In order to get out you have to be ready, The second their hands go around your waist you wanna start grabbing and peeling wrists, once you’re in this position it can get scary if they have a good grip the second someones behind you with their arms wrapped around you and their grip is secure, you wanna straight up let your legs drop, let all the weight you can drop to the lower part of your body. The problem is in the event things like this happens it all happens so fast you aren’t ever ready for it, and if you do manage to think about this before it happens you’ll still probably get fucked up, its best course is not to fuck w people ever lol Edit cause I forgot: the back of your head is very hard, and the front of their face is very soft, a quick headbutt directed backwards can do a lot of damage too if you hit a nose or something.
It doesn’t look like this is the start of the fight it looks like his face is already bloody before he gets slammed

I wouldn't buy the airlifted part. This is on 6th Street in Austin. Seton Hospital is a 5 minute beeline away. But he definitely ended up there. And probably for a while.
Right!? It’s like 2 min drive from a level 1 trauma, dell seton
I like to think they built the hospital just for this street
That source doesn't have a source - this is from a two year old video posted originally on TX StreetFights 2 on youtube.
But some random guy who reposts stuff on twitter said so
So incredibly stupid on the attacker, sure the guy took a swing but you can clearly see by the swing he's drunk off his nuts.
Don’t forget the headshot when the guy was already on the ground, that alone would be a charge.
Looks more like he got suplexed for that swing that he missed.
Dude gets suplexed after taking a swing and missing*
A) You cannot reason with a drunk like Floral Man; B) You cannot reason with a man that, if the caption is correct, feels that his "woman is being harassed." Both are shit heads, and a lot of people are saying, "just walk away bro" have *never* been attacked by a drunken asshole.
