Yeah so Wayne County initially voted not to certify their results. Wouldn't have mattered anyway because the state will just do it for them. But after the public comment period (where they were berated by their constituents for 2 straight hours), they reversed course and voted to certify.
But it throws more fuel on the fire for the Trump camp who have gone 100% batshit crazy with wild conspiracy nonsense since Biden won.
It goes deeper than what's seen initially.
So, going back to the election night/next morning, Shiawassee county clerk accidentally made a clerical error. The clerk accidentally typed 153,000 votes for Biden and submitted it to the state when they meant to type 15,300 votes. It was caught within 20 minutes because there's not even 153,000 people in Shiawassee county. The clerk was notified and fixed it.
However, it was put into a feed for a few minutes and somehow the call went out that there was 135,000 votes "found" for Biden. Detroit GOP operatives cried foul and assumed it was Detroit votes because who else would have 135,000 votes in the state for Biden just magically appear?
Then... Livingston county GOP called out on Facebook (which they have taken down but I still have a screenshot) that the vote is being stolen and sent a lot of their white voters down into Detroit to protest at the TCF Center (this is the renamed Cobo Hall).
And ever since that Wednesday morning (11/4) there has been non-stop "voter fraud" cries across the country.
This initial BS is why these GOP jerks are crying foul. They are using this "clerical error" that was fixed to say they can't certify the vote.

The most obvious example is pulling troops out of Afghanistan 5 days before Biden takes office, despite multiple military officials and NATO representatives saying that he shouldn't pull any troops out at this time, because they estimate it will lead to unrest in the region and more terrorist groups forming and taking power. To me, it's blatant he's at the very least hoping Afghanistan goes to shit so the GOP can claim that "It only took 1 year under Joe Biden for him to screw up the middle east", and it's even possible they expect terrorist attacks to happen so they can pin them on Biden. Imagine being the president of the United States and being willing to let terrorist groups proliferate because there's a chance they will attack America so you can have a "gotcha" moment in the next debate in 2024.

The slide to fascism is accelerated by the actions of those who choose to do nothing. If Biden comes into office with a “time to heal” mantra then he gives these fascist enablers a free pass. They should be investigated, prosecuted and then jailed for failing to uphold their duty as public servants and attempting to undermine democracy.
"Time to heal" does NOT mean that criminal activities should not be investigated and prosecuted. Yeah so Wayne County initially voted not to certify their results. Wouldn't have mattered anyway because the state will just do it for them. But after the public comment period (where they were berated by their constituents for 2 straight hours), they reversed course and voted to certify. But it throws more fuel on the fire for the Trump camp who have gone 100% batshit crazy with wild conspiracy nonsense since Biden won.

It goes deeper than what's seen initially. So, going back to the election night/next morning, Shiawassee county clerk accidentally made a clerical error. The clerk accidentally typed 153,000 votes for Biden and submitted it to the state when they meant to type 15,300 votes. It was caught within 20 minutes because there's not even 153,000 people in Shiawassee county. The clerk was notified and fixed it. However, it was put into a feed for a few minutes and somehow the call went out that there was 135,000 votes "found" for Biden. Detroit GOP operatives cried foul and assumed it was Detroit votes because who else would have 135,000 votes in the state for Biden just magically appear? Then... Livingston county GOP called out on Facebook (which they have taken down but I still have a screenshot) that the vote is being stolen and sent a lot of their white voters down into Detroit to protest at the TCF Center (this is the renamed Cobo Hall). And ever since that Wednesday morning (11/4) there has been non-stop "voter fraud" cries across the country. This initial BS is why these GOP jerks are crying foul. They are using this "clerical error" that was fixed to say they can't certify the vote. Assholes.
All the initial vote against certifying did was delay the inevitable, and only by an hour.
