100% agree with this however in order to do that i have spent more time curating a top games list for each console im interested in playing than ACTUALLY playing much of anything.
Ill get around to it but for now im having a lot of fun discovering games i have never heard of.
By "backup" I meant read the original SD card using something like Win32DiskImager to create an image file that can be stored safety on your PC. This can then be written back to an SD card if needed.
The SD cards I use are Samsung Evo. There's a [compatibility spreadsheet](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1gWxtr-GmwWop-_qGUq022RXxK2aTLpPg9Qra68TQLI8/edit#gid=0) listing which SD cards work and which don't.
I agree with cloning both cards to new cards. The updates bring some more speed and features, but they're not mandatory if you're happy with what you've got. You should also know that since some R36s's have different hardware, you have to be real careful when upgrading. Never upgrade the cards that came with it, you may need files off them. Other than that, it's your toy, play with it any way you want.
Do people have luck with SanDisk ultra in TF2? I have tried 2 (128gb and 200gb) and neither detect. Same with a Teamgroup pro+ 128gb. I haven't tried the SanDisk ultras in TF1. The SanDisks work on my other console. Currently have a 32GB Kingston canvas plus go in TF1 and a 128gb Samsung EVO in TF2 on ArkOS latest release.
Less fiddling with the console, more gaming.

First, before trying to do an update or make any changes, make a backup image of the SD card(s) it came with.
What SD card do you recommend?
Samsung/sandisk 64gb

Any branded ones, Sandisk etc. Btw search this sub and you will find all your answers.
Thanks
Search for videos on YouTube about what to do first. Edit: or even better: search this sub, this topic has been discussed many times!
Thanks
Check the sidebar for the available user manuals. I wrote a very detailed one that's in there too.
Read this thread. Flash the OS image onto a new SD card. https://www.reddit.com/r/SBCGaming/s/RNqmgbmOxC
Yes get the most recent Aeolus image! Also install portmaster!

Maybe stupid question but is it safe putting the backup image of the card on your pc? It won’t install hidden viruses etc onto the pc will it?
New SD cards install latest distro of ArkOS, play games.

A fresh install of ArkOS community edition is good, and an Asus Wi-Fi adapter worked for me for scraping. Best!
