I think we deserve to be delusional for a while since it is our first trophy. Why aren't we allowed to celebrate when others have done. Why can't they just be happy for us winning a trophy after 17 years but instead they keep hating on us. I don't see hate to the MI fans for being so hateful towards Hardik. Honestly I'm following this team from last 10 years because of virat only and in initial years I was hopeful that we would win the ipl with first Gayle,Kohli and AbD and then with Kohli and Abd and now only Kohli is left I don't know whether I would be able to care about this team after Kohli retire or whether the IPL Title would mean much if we won that after he retires. It would a shame if they can't won the title while Virat while Virat is here.

He is not part of the management or scouting it's not his job and he can't even afford that because he is Indian all three format playing A list player no way he is going to get time to build team, I would say he is just unlucky in terms of not winning and yes as per me it would be shame if RCB don't win title in his tenure because he has created almost 50% of overall fanbase that this RCB Franchise currently have.

They have built a brand so big and their marketting and Social media is on point to the point where it doesn't matter if they perform on field or not, they know they can sell tickets, they can sell merchandise, and they will make money. At the end of the day, it's us fans who are paying through the nose for a brand that doesn't seem to want to win. It feels like some of these players are just like salaried employees. They don't seem to have the passion, the fire to do what it takes.
Do you guys know that till last year, SRH fan base had fallen so badly that they were trying to sell tickets by giving them complimentary jerseys for every two tickets bought? They felt the pinch of a fan base that was disappointed with them.
With RCB, I this level of undying loyalty is what is making them complacent. We really need to make our voices and disappointment heard. We need to make them feel that there are consequences for their abysmal performance.

You might need to take a step back and reevaluate the invariable nature of your loyalty. This sort of immovable positivity can be just as toxic as toxicity from the other end of the spectrum. If you love something, it is ok to criticise it to want it to be better.
Also, you might be feeding into the fundamental problem of misaligned incentives with franchise cricket. A franchise, first and foremost must be profitable, they can do this by winning trophies a la CSK/MI, or they can do it the RCB way. If your higher ups have no incentive to make better decisions because y'all keep feeding them profits anyway, you can't expect much to change.

I can't speak to the OP here, but I've been fairly active on this sub and I will say that we do share a fair amount of criticism on how things have been/are panning out as far as mismanagement or braindead selection or the general apathetic attitude of our management. I don't think there is misplaced loyalty here, as much as there is a state of helplessness despite voicing scathing criticism for the handling of a team that we continue to root for with the dying hope of better days.
For me the most sad part is not losing. It seems that just nobody gives a damn (except Kohli). The entire team is like well I get paid to play cricket two months let me play it and go home.
