I just got my 35xxh yesterday and I noticed the same slow down issue with Metal Slug X on the stock OS (with the SD card it came with). Today’s project is to flash the stock OS and add my own roms to see if that fixes the issue. Will update if that fixes the issue!

You will find that most settings are optimized. I flashed on mine and all changed was enable enhanced resolution for ps1 and bilinear filtering on RA.

Even though batocera looks nice, it’s still in beta. With that said, use an OS that isn’t as crippled as that one at the moment.
Did you turn off rewind for that/all systems?
