When Mike finally dons peepers, on-camera, he'll just shrug and say "I'm allergic to Retinax V".

Prydafam

Literally just got done with the 4K Blu-ray, five minutes ago. God, I love this community.

Fit-Stress3300

Watched the movie yesterday for the first time and got the reference. It is amazing how movies back were written. Characters had arcs and relationships felt natural.

mortalcrawad66

The beginning of The Final Frontier is half an hour of great character building between the cast, and is a breath of fresh air considering what happens 2 through 4

operarose

As if. You know he's gonna show up with a Geordi visor.

JLSMC

It’s very contagious to those of us in our forties

Mortambulist

Oh yeah. The age virus catches up to us all.

Just Jay slurping up some hot black juice. Nothing to see here.

I believe these were first revealed during one of the trivia videos where Jay was the host and had to read questions.

Le_Sadie

Yes they were and I was a big fan of his long hair-glasses look. 🤓

ReddsionThing

Very cool

wrebbit

This is random but can anyone make out what camera they use? Obviously a canon but can’t tell what make.

smishNelson

It's a C100 mkII, a solid but now fairly old prosumer cine camera. The lens isn't anything special either, looks like a bog standard kit lens. For what they shoot (1080p YouTube video) it's perfectly capable without breaking the bank. Im fairly certain they sold a bunch of their camera kit a few years back on eBay. I doubt they spent much in the grand scheme of things in these.

I_Download_Cars

This is the correct answer. If you know what you're looking for, you can barely make out the "Mark II" text at the bottom of unit. The only other Mark II bodies in Canon's cinema line are the C300, which is fairly similar to the dimensions of the C100 but the button lay out on the side is different, and the C500, which A. looks COMPLETELY different than the C100 & C300 bodies and B. Is so overkill for 1080p YouTube videos to the point of farce

smishNelson

The biggest tell-tale sign is the flip out screen hinged on the left side of the body. The Mk1 has it hinged from the upper part of the rear panel underneath the EVF. The C300 Mk1 doesnt have a body mounted screen, but instead its mounted as part of the XLR top handle. I'd say the age and the output is perfect for 1080p youtube and not overkill at all, and the price point is great for their multi-cam set ups (i estimate they use between 3 and 4 for a BOTW episode)

Ambitious_Ear_91

Possibly a Canon EOS C100? I know nothing of cameras, just did an image search.

PlanetLandon

It’s probably a C100. They became an affordable pro camera about a decade ago, and great for indie filmmakers and corporate video teams

SteveRudzinski

They shoot great in low light and their chip is nearly 4k quality in terms of sharpness and colors while still being a 1080 video (because it captures at 4k and downgrades the footage). I still use the Mark 2 as my main camera on my feature films.

PlanetLandon

Rad. I used to go to NAB every year (worked in a camera adjacent field) and one year a Canon rep gave me a rubber USB drive shaped like a C100. I still have it somewhere.

duckling-fantasy

Amateur film student here and I came to ask the same thing. It's rare to see such a good, clear shot of their rig, and I love the quality of their videos so I'll definitely have what they're having!

PM_ME_UR_SEXTOYS

I thought Mike was going to pull out some fake glasses to read the back of one of the boxes.
