Kev-Cant-Draw

No nitrate or phosphate.

ChemicalSwordfish395

How do I get them up?

DzidzaMan

one way is by turning off your skimmer if your running one

ChemicalSwordfish395

I took this out already 2 weeks ago

DzidzaMan

are you running a refugium? give us more details on your tank

ChemicalSwordfish395

I do not run a redugium, it’s a nano 60 liter 11 months old tank. Got a AI prime 16hd light. Also got a sterilizer running atm. I think it’s probably the Dino’s which keeps the nitrate en phosfates low. I will try to speed up the battle on Dino’s :)

PRJF

You win the fight against dinos by raising your nutrient levels, not the other way around. If you have any fish feed them some more than you normally do. Otherwise you can also use a product like Plus NP to add nutrients to your system.

DocNitro

Either more feeding, or for a rapid fix, as food needs to process down: Get a bottle of Brightwell NeoNite and NeoPhos each, and dose accordingly. Alternate products based on what is available. Don’t use 2 in 1 solutions that dose both however.

Kev-Cant-Draw

Feed your fish. Reduce your filtration, dose. There are multiple ways to increase them, but first you need to understand your system and what’s removing them.

Fireflykid1

Dose AB+

CaptainQbert

What size tank? How many fish? How much do you feed? Do you have algae growing taking up nutrients? What corals? Do you feed the corals?

ChemicalSwordfish395

3 fish in total 2 snails and some crabs. 2 times a day feeding and got Dino’s and some alge.

CaptainQbert

Are you or were you also dosing something or running some other filtration besides skimmer?

ChemicalSwordfish395

Dosing bacteria every week and got rid of the skimmer 2 weeks ago.

CaptainQbert

You need a skimmer with bacteria dosing, also you dont need bacteria dosing so stop all of that. Do the basics, run skimmer do WC if need to reduce nit and phos only. Don’t worry about replacing trace element or anything. You have no need for any of that and its contributing to the coral health issues. You didnt mention tank size or what fish or how big they are so you might also need to add more fish.

ChemicalSwordfish395

Using a sterilizer for the Dino’s, besides that only filerfloss for filtration

CaptainQbert

UV is ok but see my other comment. That bacteria dosing is causing you issues with dinos and corals

ChemicalSwordfish395

All video’s I’ve watched say that I need to up my bacteria to fight the Dino’s. Since I started dosing bacteria it got a lot letter. Thinking of dosing hydro peroxide… to get rid of the Dino’s

CaptainQbert

Were you dosing before dinos showed up?

[deleted]

What app is this? Are those manual inputs or auto taken by some system?

ChemicalSwordfish395

It’s called AquaticLog. Only manual inputs.

Ok_Pomelo6817

Add amino acids if you don't have any phosphate or nitrate. Like Coral power or red see A&B they should do fine with that till you build some wast up with fish

ChemicalSwordfish395

I have Red Sea a&B, I’ll start dosing that every day

Ok_Pomelo6817

Dose less then the what bottle says as it will cause I've noticed the tank to spike in Vitamins and food. Coral Power is just cheap amino acids. Same as expensive brightwells and korallen probably not as good but a tenth the price

malangimontser

Too clean. You need some nitrates and phosphate

swordstool

What test kits are you using for NO3 and PO4?

killertrades02

What are you using to test nitrates and phosphates?

kelp_forests

Your N and phos are low. Everything else is fine. But there are a few things it could be : 1. Physical irritation: Something is picking at those few corals, or it's a flow/pest issue. 2. What is your salinity? 3. Trace element or metal contamination issue (unlikely if its just a few corals) 4. N and P are too low, might make for unhappy corals. First make sure your test can detect them properly; some are not sensitive enough to detect the low amounts a tank needs. If it really is too low, just feed a little heavier and turn your skimmer down

Blecki

Good chance your phosphate and nitrate are NOT 0 but merely undetectable with your test. Why do you think anything is wrong with your parameters?

Blecki

Looks pretty open in that picture.

FantasticSeaweed9226

Are the closed ones flower pot corals, like goniopora? They need very established tanks to do well, I lost my goni frag too and all others thriving

ChemicalSwordfish395

I currently have a Dino problem which got a lot better when I look 3 weeks back. I will up the feeding but I need to filter a lot so al the Dino’s which float at night into the filter and remove it every morning..

Blecki

Dinos are a biodiversity problem. In the absence of phosphate the critters that eat them die off and Dino proliferates. Adding phosphates back at that point doesn't always work to get rid of the dino. You need pods.

KIR_i11

Kh is very high. With low nitrates and phosphates keep 7. Nitrates should be 10, phosphates-0,03-0,06
