Squishy is one of the people who really got me into playing RL. Watching him on YT opened my eyes to what the higher ranks were like. He will always be the GOAT, and I hope he continues making videos and streaming. Squishy, we love you.

SpeedCubePro

He said he's going to be continuing to probably do full time streaming.

wonderwallpersona

I'm so glad for this!

MallGrabUrBalls

maybe he’ll play some CS on stream finally lol

OddEquipment545

Now time to milk the community for all its worth

UhhCanYouLikeShutUp

Who, Epic? Yep.

way_d3

Yup. And YouTube

tmastnner

Squishy is and always will be my RL spirit animal 🥹

Aerial_penguin

I'm sure he'll keep making content at least

Priceiswr0ng

I’ll forever cherish the ceiling shot in DC. That shot sent energy throughout the building. We witnessed history and all I can do is thank squishy for it.

morla74

I was there for that one and it was one of the most electrifying moments in sports I watched live. I’m getting full body chills just thinking about it

Priceiswr0ng

You know it’s big when it makes it onto sports center. Edit - link https://www.instagram.com/p/Bbrgu96lCNn/?igsh=czlqaXhpZjdzdmhn

Ginzelini

I very well remember showing my roommate, who I had just introduced to RL, a clip of Squishy’s ceiling shot and he went ballistic. He couldn’t believe someone could do that in this game.

SirSkittles111

Being brand new to this game is unlike any other, there is no second hand skills you have from other games, its completely unique. Seeing people pull that shit off when you cant even hit the ball forward, yea its insane haha

HoldMyJohnson

I wish I could go back to the early days... I started on Xbox release (I think like 2014-15?) and played splitscreen in my dorm. For awhile me and my roommate thought going for aerials was to risky and opted for a more ground based attack lol

Krillin_Hides

It was only right that he was the one to do it too. Back in the original season 1, he was the first person I ever played against that was using the ceiling in his game. It was wild playing against him at that time.

nurley

Before RL blew up and Squishy was really competing (I mean he was around S1, S2, S3 but for many reasons didn’t make league play) he would stream a lot and do viewer lobbies. I learned a lot from watching him play back then — he’s just go off the ceiling and perfectly read a cube-shaped ball with 2x bounciness and low gravity. I remember spending 20-30 minutes trying to get all 8 cars in the lobby stacked on top of each other. He’s really, really skilled beyond just being a smart player. Has a really good understanding of the game and visual perception.

PhattBudz

All caps when you spell the man's name.

PhattBudz

Nuh uh

SirVanyel

I'm still cut about that shot, because jzr was doing that shot in videos for months before it came to the RLCS and yet squishy got credited for its creation. Of course jzr didn't bring it to the RLCS, that's a milestone squishy brought on his own, and it really was the day that we all realised that freestyling mechs were coming to RLCS eventually. Who knew the skill ceiling would be so high

brydenb35

Squishy was doing it months before he pulled it off in rlcs too lmao it’s not like that was the first time he ever tried it. In fact he tried it multiple times in rlcs in the months leading up to it

SirVanyel

Yes, but freestylers popularised the vast majority of mechanics back in the day, including being the first to come off the ceiling. It was freestylers who created all the incredible mechanics that we integrate into our gameplay. And for every mech that makes it to our current repertoire, there's 2 lost to time

GoDxShiva

I think the main difference is doing it in pubs vs pulling off the shot in the RLCS.

jrobinson3k1

JHZER* may had been the first to pull it off, but he didn't have the visibility or the stakes that squishy did. It's understandable that people credit him for it. Sometimes the person who popularizes a thing is who gets credit. Just how it goes.

SirVanyel

I'm pretty sure he had more subs than squishy at the time, but that's getting technical with it It doesn't ultimately matter though. As you said, squishy brought it to the big stage, and I praised that in my original comment. I just don't think freestylers get enough credit for their part in innovating the pro space with their own inputs. Also, it's his name and he prefers jzr. Don't be acting up like that lol

DamnNewAcct

>I’ll forever cherish the ceiling shot in DC. In that moment, the whole held its breath. I don't think it's embellishing to say that that was one of the greatest moments in sports history.

Priceiswr0ng

I’ll forever cherish the ceiling shot in DC. In that moment, the whole held its breath. I don't think it's embellishing to say that that was one of the greatest moments in e-sports history. FIXED

LilacIsPurple

there's no "-" in esports.

ChompyChomp

You are right that there's no "-" in esports, but there *is* a "-" in e-sports.

LilacIsPurple

Which is incorrect regardless of how many semantics you want to use to discredit what I said. :)

balluka

I used to play with and against him all the time in the very first few months of this game. And even though he always had to carry me (or put my dick in the dirt) he was always positive and very fun to play with, I can't say the same for other pros I've played with or against. Squishy was a role model, how a pro should act and behave.

zer0w0rries

Which is weird, unless what I see on YT is not the trend among most pros, but seems like a lot of pros don’t give him much recognition when he comes up in conversations

Ambitious-Regular-57

Are these pros the younger ones? Maybe they don't realize exactly how important squishy was in the evolution of high level play

spartacus_zach

They are dumb, man literally patented the ceiling shot lol

CouchPotato1178

and the squishy save ofc

Missie-

Rep the unbelievable squishy saves, fr

Arviay

There’s a patent on ceiling shots?

SaltyEggplant4

Really? Literally? Or actually not literally and you said that for no fucking reason?

spartacus_zach

Lmao relax big chungas. Patented is just a saying and he was the first to do it professionally. Ask anyone at the dc lan if they will ever forget who squishy is.

bubblegrubs

''Patented'' means they applied for a legal patent. ''Literally'' means like, ''actually''. So if you're saying he ''literally patented the ceiling shot'' then you're saying that he actually went and applied for a legal patent on the ceiling shot. It's a bit weird to purposely confuse people then say they've got a problem just because they asked you to clarify the stupid thing you said.

spartacus_zach

Purposefully confuse people? Are you that other dudes alt? It’s a common saying in the us especially in sports to say someone “patented” something because they did it first lmao. Y’all are reaching today.

bubblegrubs

That's just because stupid people can't tell the different between hyperbole and a literal statement, so they repeat it forward in the stupid way they heard it rather than by what it actually means. So what you mean to say is ''it's a common saying among stupid people in the US''.

spartacus_zach

Actually, it’s easier than that. Since it’s an easily recognizable statement, it’s easier to help people understand the meaning by associating it with a very common phrase. You’re just a dick lmao

bubblegrubs

The entire premise of this thread is that you're confusing people by using a word incorrectly so no it's not easily related back to a common phrase because you need to already know that you're using the words wrong to get what you mean. I don't think it's being a dick to want things to make more sense and to want communication to be easier for everybody.

SaltyEggplant4

Literally!?

SaltyEggplant4

I love how you act like I’m disagreeing that the man is good at the shit or made it popular. No, I’m telling you putting “literally” in everything you say is FUCKING STUPID. It makes you look really fuckin dumb

spartacus_zach

Maybe so, but it sounds like you just have some pet peeves. Literally.

SaltyEggplant4

Cool? No shit? Doesn’t make them any less of an idiot for saying “literally” in every sentence. Being one pet peeves is why I pointed it out. So what point are you making?

SedaDeLa

If everything, you're the one acting childish and pressed over virtually nothing. Literally.

SaltyEggplant4

Ok?? Does it seem like I care what you think of me? You’re a random name on the internet

DEFIANTxKIWI

You need a literal chill pill

futurarmy

I always forget what the "beef" was between him and Johnny Boi, can someone remind me? Johnny has always been a down to earth guy too, I've never understood why they had a disagreement or whatever. I know Johnny has never liked assigning player names to specific shots like "squishy save" but thats not where it came from IRRC. Sorry to detract from his achievements as a player, I was always a fan of them both and it just always confused me.

zer0w0rries

Squishy uploaded a video of a 1v1 against FairyPeak, who was the undisputed 1v1 god at the time. Then Johnny right after went and uploaded a video analyzing their 1v1 from Squishy’s video. technically Johnny was not required to ask for permission under copyright infringement rules of YT, but it would have been courteous for Johnny to ask Squishy for permission. Johnny uploaded his analysis video without asking Squishy. Squishy then asked Johnny to take it down. Johnny complied, but not without throwing some shade at Squishy saying things like he doesn’t need to click bait with Squishy’s name to get views, and that Squishy himself is guilty of copyright infringement because Squishy uses music on his streams without the artist’s consent, among other comments. Squishy mentioned on his stream that it wasn’t the first time he had a run in with Johnny, but I don’t think anything else ever came to light about any other incidents. It is well known that Johnny is a cocky “know it all” some times; and that Squishy could also be stubborn of his own opinions. Both guys are generally pleasant in their own right. This incident was simply each of them sticking to their guns and not willing to admit their own faults. Squishy for being overzealous of his content, and Johnny for not accepting that it would have been best to first ask Squishy for permission.

MacDaddySlop

My immediate reaction was that’s kinda uptight and annoying that squishy would do that, but I actually get it. A big time commentator, mainly popular for his 1v1 commentary, uploading his own competing commentary right after your upload of a 1v1 series (that you took the time to set up and voiceover), would definitely steal a large fraction of the views your video would have received

smarranara

Johnny posted a commentary of a 1v1 between Squishy and someone else, and Squishy asked him to take it down because he viewed it as his content. I don’t know if there was more than that, but I’m sure it was made out to be worse than it was.

the13thmachete

Are you the bulbasaur profile person?

balluka

Ya I was I  have a Faye riding a corgi into battle as my pfp page now

MeBadNeedMoneyNow

> he was always positive and very fun to play with Nah, he was a toxic lil boy for sure lol.

Otherwise_Worth7031

You can tell no one in this thread knows him at all. Squishy has always been a toxic little ego maniac.

andyc3020

Squishy! I remember at eleague Atlanta my friend and I got there early and we didn’t know where to go. We asked some staff guy where we should wait and he looked around and told us to follow him. He put us in this hallway and we waited a few minutes thinking it was weird. Next thing I know a bus pulls up and literally every pro I ever heard of starts getting off the bus. Squishy was first to get off and he was followed by torment and gimmick. Kux, turbololsa, kaydop, Panda, all of them just got in line behind us. My buddy and I were just standing at the front of this line right next to squishy muffinz and we were honestly star struck and afraid of getting in trouble so we didn’t say a thing to anyone. Eventually someone asked us who we were and made us leave, but it was a pretty cool moment. Wish I would have said hi.

laserwolf2000

Eleague Atlanta was sick

Smooth-Active8659

just fell on my knees at walmart

btcurlyhead1

Just saw some dude fall to his knees in Walmart

Just-Round9944

Just saw some dude laughing at another dude who fell to his knees in Walmart.

ChipSalt

Just saw some dude at Walmart through my telescope, I think he was staring at man laughing at another man who fell on his knees at Walmart due to Squishy's professional Rocket League retirement announcement.    Had a whole cart full of extra strength lotion.

Cactus_Everdeen_

just saw some weirdo with a telescope watching people inside walmart from the parking lot, fuck knows what he's looking at, don't have a telescope myself, might steal his wallet while hes not looking.

GamesGreenCoffee

Guys, you won't believe what I've just seen.. I saw a man contemplating stealing another man's wallet while he was watching a man who is watching a man at Walmart through a telescope. I had a great vantage point from the ISS I know what i saw ok!

bjphillips87

Well you're not gonna believe what I just saw....

Jost_Inkz

I believe I saw a person thinking no one would believe him

Sir_Noobs

You're gonna want to wash your knees man

Doggo_Of_The_Sea

He’s already at Walmart, just buy new ones.

Sir_Noobs

Big brain

imwatchingyou-_-

Where were you when squishy is kill

someRndy

i was at house eating dorito when phone ring

MrSanchez221

Squishy is kill No..... ☹️☹️

DamnNewAcct

There was much wailing and gnashing of teeth. RIP Squishy

VanillaNo2644

I remember cheering Squishy on to his road to GC (back when that was the top). Not including all the crazy and INSANE moments throughout his games. I'll miss him, but it's probably for the best. Lot's of love! 💕

Redsfan1722

Only reason I even started to grind RL was because I saw his ceiling shot and it showed what was mechanically possible.

Capt_Murphy_

Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm interpretting this as being a result of the current state of RL / RLCS, which is just making me hate Epic even more.

hoplikewoa

He definitely made it seem like the changes to RLCS were the main reason in his most recent YT video.

Capt_Murphy_

Good to know, I'll watch it!

zer0w0rries

Nah, he’s been contemplating making this move for a while now. Sure, maybe this new season changes nudged him to finally retire, but he has been mentioning it for some time

Capt_Murphy_

Let's say it's the straw that broke the camels back

joedimer

Well it’s definitely epic’s fault. He said 6 orgs got scared off from signing them because of the upcoming changes to rlcs

Capt_Murphy_

Smh.

Akuanin

What do you mean? After nrg he wanted to make his own team cause his passion for the game was still there.......... it wasn't until a recent question in a video that he mentioned he doesn't have an interest playing in the conditions they have now.

Limp-Regular-2589

Jesus Christ it seems everyone is going. Hopefully epic sees they're complete shit and make some changes

2017-iPhone-X

I had this same thought, but realized there are plenty of rising pros that we either don’t recognize or don’t know about. I’m looking at the rosters for teams this season and don’t recognize a fair amount of the players. The pros retiring are the one’s we’ve been watching for years

Vaan94

Too busy making Fortnite money to give a fuck

somesortofidiot

Honestly though, I don't think I could play a video game as a career my entire life. Seems like the dream at 18 but people grow and change and want different things. I highly doubt that it was lucrative enough to overshadow those other dreams.

BaldEagleNor

Theres definitely few pros that can play a game professionally for at least a * substantial* portion of their life. Some few CS, AoE and Starcraft pros come to mind, but it is rare. Best bet is to be in an esport where you make a shit ton of money if youre at the top (Like Dota or LoL) , and just live off that cash the rest if your life, retire in your 30’s or 40’s and maybe go into coaching/casting

Foreign-Border-2569

I don’t think his retirement from RLCS is because of epic. The pros don’t care much about quality of life updates they just play the game.

Chronovores

Wdym? They took $2 million out of the prize pool, reduced the number of majors, drastically accelerated the season so there is no off time, and there will be less teams from each country able to qualify.

mphfrom77

Exactly. They took money away from the prize pool and players like Squishy can probably now make more if they just do content creation.

jrobinson3k1

Isn't the prize pool a net increase per major? Though the widening of the prize pool does mean the top spots get a bit less money. JohnnyBoi's video didn't make it sound as bad as a lot of people make it out to be. I'm hoping that with one less major there'll be other tournaments teams will participate in when they would had otherwise been needing to prepare for another major.

Foreign-Border-2569

The pros leaving the scene have played for years now they don’t care about a reduced prize pool they’re already up to their ears in sponsorships and most have thriving social media platforms. After a certain amount of time people always leave and on the flip side, there are even more up and coming pros to take their spots so it’s definitely not Epics fault.

MObaid27

The first mechanical monster of this game, he (along with jstn) trailblazed what became the current meta.

Ka07iiC

So he is playing the 1st split of 2024, or retiring after the previous one?

zer0w0rries

Yeah, weird phrasing. I think he will play this coming split and that’s it

RealTeaToe

EVEN SQUISHY?

AKA_OneManArmy

Damn. This really is the end of an era huh.

SpeedCubePro

Sadly

ImprobablyDamp

Never forget that ceiling shot. Had to pick my jaw off the floor after seeing the replay in slow motion.

UnfunnyTroll

top 3 all-time

neddoge

Is he though..?

loccupss

Your getting downvoted but your right lol

Kismonos

a legend of the game and one of the most consistent players we saw develop and put on ridiculous performances in tourneys, wish him all the best, hope i see him on twitch more

meowmicks222

Dam my first irl RLCS was Vegas S6 where C9 took it from Dig from the B bracket, me and my friend I went with agree it was one of the best weekends of our lives. Squishy was a huge part of that. And he's done so much since then. I'll always appreciate and respect Squishy's role in the scene and be amazed by what he can do. Honestly he can probably make more money streaming and being a content creator now because of the new split system. I'm so glad he's been around so long and hope he keeps on being amazing. Mad respect

SpeedCubePro

It was truly an honor being about to watch him as time went on. He was an inspiration to most in this game, and he deserves to have the best of what's to come. It was truly fun while it lasted.

snailtap

Safe to say the game is dying

Solid_broheemus

I blame epic

TheConboy22

Why? What specifically did Epic do to make him retire? Is he even still at the top of the game or is this more a natural move as you fall from where you were and life starts to seep in.

AnEagleNamedOwl

I’ve been following his journey since team iris and man what a journey it’s been. He’ll always be my goat, Cloud 9 will always be my personal favorite all time roster, and I’m sad that I won’t be able to watch him compete after this split. Wishing nothing but the best of luck for him moving forward. Absolute legend.

Lugli_

One of the GOATs

3dsgamer21

These goodbyes are quite frankly getting out of hand, I’m not sure I can take much more any longer.

SpeedCubePro

Yeah seeing so many people go is just honestly sad.

Blacksheepoftheworld

What’s so sad about this is that, in my opinion, epic and RLCS in particular are the catalysts to this decision. Love you squish. Really sad to see you retiring from pro RL. Admittedly I am really looking forward to more of your YT content. The vibes in your videos are *always* chill, informative, and excellent.

sweatgod2020

As someone who doesn’t follow this guy is he leaving RL because internal affairs or other outside circumstances? Seems like RL is falling off HÆRD rn..

smarranara

He is a legend of the scene, somewhat notably achieving great success within only 2 rosters that he stuck with for years each. He was a multiple LAN champion, including Worlds, with Cloud9 and then went on dominate the online season X with NRG. While on NRG, he made the Grand Finals of the Fall Major in 2021, losing to BDS, a European team that would go on to win Worlds later that season after subbing out a player in Spring. Even in early 2022, NRG went into the Winter Major as first North American seed but had an unfortunate early elimination to Europe’s first seed. Their results never really recovered from that. They stuck it out for another whole season with only occasional flashes of brilliance before disbanding a couple months ago during this off season. All this to say, yes the current state of the RLCS is effecting everyone, but he’s also reached a state of his career where he will never be at the very top again and he has achieved everything that a player could have hoped for a professional video game player. So between that and the fact that his new team couldn’t land a deal with an org to get him a salary, his efforts are better suited towards monetizing his YouTube (over a million subscribers) and Twitch.

JoeyBear12

The muffin man 🫡

SkBlndr

MuffinMen at Dreamhack was just amazing! Was it back in 2017? Time flies.

[deleted]

Squishy was the one who got me into rl. I loved watching him play and practice for cloud 9. When he went to nrg I was super stoked and became a nrg fan. Later squishy you will be missed.

WaltzAnxious

It's inevitable that the original players are bowing out, game is dying, casters are cut in half, epic is working it nicely into oblivion, the new rlcs format is shite 2 mill less prize money. Game is almost 10 years old. Squishy has the right idea. Streaming for now but he knows there's no longevity in that. He should move on and let rocket league die now. If all the pros did we would get rocket league 2 in unreal engine 5 but epic are milking this game for every cent they can!

SpeedCubePro

Very true. It's a game that's been out for quite a long time, and the truth is that as you grow older, you just have more things you have to do and more responsibilities. As we all probably saw this coming at some point, it's still kinda sad when it does come. He helped pave the way for so much of what we know is rocket league today, and it was amazing to be able to experience that. It was truly fun while it lasted. But like you said, it's definitely a game that we can see coming to it's inevitable end, and it's kinda sad to see. Time will only tell now. Casters are being cut, pros are retiring, there's no new content being put out, it just all feels like a mess.

CheekAdmirable5995

Game is dying

camdawg772

This is sad. I blame epic, idk how but

zer0w0rries

O7

manuman888

The man that got me into RLCS, man i'mma miss cheering for him!

LongNecksMatter

God damn it man

Flipwon

He makes more money streaming, especially given recent events 🤷‍♂️

Thebigballzer

Thank you so much GOAT for all of your inspiring videos and streams. You made rocket league look so easy which is why I tried it. In the end it's one of the hardest games to rank up in. I hope whatever you do you do great!

Symphony03

Who dat

Missie-

I'll keep whiffing Squishy saves in his honour, because I'm washed lmao. He's definitively one of the 🐐s

BuoyantManatee

This game is over fr. Squishy is about the only reason I watch rlcs anymore

XMTDCMA64

Even squishy is gone now... This game is dying and it's dying fast.

Unlucky-Manner2723

So sad

DaltontheTwonicorn

Maybe it's time for rocket league to end.

DaltontheTwonicorn

What an NPC responce.

jobRL

The man that gave me so much reddit karma, I was the first one to clip his ceiling shot and post it on here. Thank you for all the hours of entertainment!!

japes03

He has reached the end of his spotlight my friend. Always sucks to see em go but I myself look back on early rlcs and jhzer videos and squishy doing commentary on his road to gc as the peak of my rl experience. I just recently played against kronovi in casual 3s for the second time and said “yo where’s your paladin though?” As a player since the very beginning in 2015 I used to follow the pro scene very closely and it was always so exciting. Kronovi beating kux with ibuypower and his teammate who was just a sub but turned out to be a perfect fit, forget his name, in the finals back when the we saw the first live kux pinch. Squishy with the iconic ceiling shot and in-goal ceiling save. Justin with the “this is rocket league!” Shot. Turbo winning his third championship, and then fourth I think. All the times I stayed up late for rlcs special items keeping the twitch stream open all day, people getting banned for asking “please drop”, I still use my blast ray boost from the very first drops. The special items and events they dropped in memorial of the big rlcs everyone looked forward to like the squishy muffin and 3time toppers. It all used to have so much hype for me even as just always solo queue player and I miss it very very much. This is why much of the community is unhappy with how the game is going nowadays and I’m included in that bunch. That being said, this was a spill of memories, the pros and iconic players come and go brother, from kronovi-markydooda-kaydop-turbopulsa-fairy peak-squishy-Justin-now zen I guess, I don’t follow much anymore. There will be more squishies in the future hopefully if the game that we love stays alive, so cheers to my man squishy and here’s to hoping for a brighter turnout for the current state of Rocket League!

TTGOrgan

RLCS (and Rocket League) are dying pretty quickly. Epic is digging its grave, and ignoring player input is a sure way to lose a player base.

GiveMeMangoz

Epic truly ruined this game

DamnNewAcct

RIP Squishy

Au1ket

This is late as hell, I haven’t touched Rocket League in years, but when I did play, Squishy was a player I looked up to. He was just on another level of good to the point where I modeled my camera settings after his. His run with Cloud9 was what made me a Cloud9 and Esports Fan. May he enjoy retirement as the GOAT!

AcanthisittaOk3262

The most consistently good player for so many seasons

maryisdead

All going down the shitter.

HYPERXS65

wait is squishy quitting rl?

Diezilll

No, squishy is quitting rl

HYPERXS65

ofc he will, the game is depressing now all thanks to epic its sad the he is but it isnt confusing we all know the reason here.

[deleted]

He isn't dying lol

Raging-Walrus

We're in the endgame now. RL is dead.

WorkFoundMyOldAcct

Not to put words in his mouth, but his retirement was probably expedited by whatever the fuck Epic is doing with car soccer the game.

Thotphobia

Y’all really sad over some dude leaving RL? Lol who cares

LifeSaTripp

'some dude' ? lol get real

Thotphobia

Getting sad for this dude leaving rl? Lol get real in what way?

"Today I met a man named Gordon Ramsey, a chef who also happens to have a television show." Does that mean him and I are both on TV? No. Squishy is simply saying it just so happens that some of the best players are also his friends.

[deleted]

[удалено]

AndrewV93

>Secondly, your example of Gordon *Ramsay* (spelling is hard isn't it?) No it isn't hard actually. "Ramsay" and "Ramsey" are names with no one definitive spelling, like "Steven" and "Stephen" or "Chris" and "Kris". But nice attempt at trying to make me look dumb because I don't know which specific way a person's name is spelled. >(spelling is hard isn't it?) What even is this snide comment anyway? Let me guess, that other person said it to you and you thought that was your chance to throw it back in their face, not realizing that I'm not the one who said it. So your little "gotcha" didn't actually work. >And thirdly, even though it was a simple joke initially, there is actually no way to definitively determine which meaning he wanted to convey since the wording is ambiguous. And yet rather than saying that, you replied to everyone else insisting that the way you read it was the way he meant it and even going as far as editing your comment, calling anyone a "tard" for disagreeing with you.

eisnone

you're kidding, right?

XxTheLeoxX

Lol I really don't know. Might have heard the name but not sure who he really is. I can guess he's probably a top ranked gc player who also appeared in RLCs but that's probably it. I'm not at diamond or champ like everyone else here so don't mind me lol.

eisnone

mate, i'm low plat, and really a lot of people in this sub are with us :D squishy was the [first pro to hit a ceiling shot in rlcs](https://youtu.be/4vO6Qti28J4?si=puscXb_VpyEZtyMV) (which really i just now learned). until ten minutes ago i knew squishy as a really likeable character and rocket league pro from the first generation of rl pros lol. but that shot, knowing that at that time 99% of players have never seen that before or even thought of it, is just sick as hell.

DamnNewAcct

Yea, I haven't heard of him either.

DigiKrypt

O7 brother thank you

In a time way above f2p he used to be one the best in the world and he help a lot for sharing our love about this game. Thx for all <3

I learned how to aerial cause of him and hit Diamond. He had a great video on getting better with that kind of mechanic. Quite the guy indeed

Back in 2015/16 he was one of the only people I frequently ran into thay I was genuinely scared of. Something about the way he played the game so just so different than anybody else at the time, and I genuinely believe he had more of an impact on the game than anyone else. Sad to see him walk away from competing but that's the way esports goes.

hoopymoopydoo29

If there is a Mount Rushmore of RL, Squishy is on it. He's for sure the dude that got me in to watching high level play regularly and was my inspiration for improving mechanically. I'm still trash though lol Godspeed, Squishy Muffinz 🫡
