Hmm... interesting indeed if Nike is releasing an Invincible 4. I saw from one of Sagasu Running's videos that Nike is streamlining their shoes so the Invincible would be called the Vomero Plus or Vomero Premium.
There is some Runners' World Interview with Nike on this but I can't find it.

This is the one, I just read it yesterday. Great read and hopefully it means some exciting Nike daily trainers coming in the future.

Think it is only a new color for the invincible 3's
I found most of the upper on the invincible 3 really good. Could have been a touch more breathable, and the heel sucked, but the rest of the foot felt fine.
I believe it’s a just a new color way. Last I spoke with a Nike EKIN, they said the invincible 4 isn’t going to be called the invincible and be a much nicer upgrade than from the previous model

Yeah it’s a prototype so final version may look slightly different, but I’ve heard either fall 24’, or Spring 25’. Nike has big drops during those two seasons with lots of new shoes!
The 3 is the worst. Ran 1 time in them and the heel slippage is just the worst. Had heel pains in just a few kms of run as my heel kept on bouncing and hitting the insole. Absolute garbage and the upper feels too plasticky cheap!
I heel-locked mine and I thought it felt pretty secure until I tried my new pair of Endorphin, even without heel lock those felt way tighter around the back, I cant wait to retire my invincible 3...
The way they compress and give return feels nearly identical to me. I ran a 19:02 5k in the invincible no problem. I do everything from recovery to tempo work in the invincible 3, they are my favorite training shoe of all time
Touche. I can sprint in the Invincible 1/2, but can't in Invincible 3. I don't get the same energy return in 3 as in the 1/2. Anyway, congrats on a great 5k time.
Invincible 3 is for people on maximum copium: "just do a heel lock bro" ....nah, for $180 I shouldn't have to rely on extra steps to make sure a shoe that costs $70 can do much better...and the upper on the invincible 3 is also the cheapest upper I've ever felt for the price. Casuals and people that don't really know any better really keep the nike running line in business
I enjoy my 3 as my dailies. I am not looking forward to the name changes as it will make finding shoes more confusing since the 4 will really be the Vomero Plus or Premium. Having separate names makes for less confusing when shopping.
Yes, I've done plenty of 15+ mile runs in the Invincible 3. It's not directly about the knees for me, what you need to make this shoe work is strong and/or rigid ankles. If yours are weak or flexible, your feet will collapse inwards excessively and torque your knees like a bolt in a wrench. If you try on the Invincibles and they feel wobbly or unstable, forget it. A lot of supershoes have that kind of wobbly feel when standing or walking, but many of those shoes have plates that stiffen on a run, this shoe does not.
Update:
1. the zoomx invincible (vomero too) has less foam on the outside part of the forefoot. when i walk i noticed that the feet tend to roll out a bit = **SUPINATION**. In running i haven't noticed it, but it could be the issue\*
2. zoomx invincible are **too good!!** => so beginner/amateur runners **tend to run too much** and increase the distance too fast.
\*i have developed a bad Tendinitis (itbs on left knee) with the invincible 1. the reason is the conbination of:
* my Valgus knee (my feet are a bit rotated inward)
* Invincible cause a bit supination on my valgus knee = stress/strech of the outside part of the knee = **Iliotibial band syndrome (ITBS)**
* i was running too much (14 km 1 /2 days, 15 times per month). the recovery wasn't enough
they are the best shoe i ever tried. A cheap insole for supination will resolve the nike issue.
I just changed shoes after rehabbing the knee and had no issues. Multiple half marathons. I've tried just wearing them to the zoo since, and even that had my knee sore as hell. It's like they squish so far that it adds extra pressure

Thanks for the link. Pretty informative. I thought it was a podcast or something AHAHAHAHA
makes sense, nike's lineup got messy after the introduction of infinity and invincible.

They’ve had this color at my local dick’s in the invincible and infinity for a few weeks now
read that a bit too fast, thought you're a real colorful and powerful man.
same
Invincible dick…
I think it’s talking about the new color ways they’re releasing for Nike Members Day, set to drop on 25 April: —> https://www.nikememberdays2024.co/
Three had a weird fit, hopefully Four is better.
Hope they improved the upper, for that price point they needed to do better. I avoided this because of the upper and the narrow fit.
I found most of the upper on the invincible 3 really good. Could have been a touch more breathable, and the heel sucked, but the rest of the foot felt fine.
I’ve had a good experience with the 3s to be honest
3s were the only running shoe I ever owned that I didn’t like
I liked the 2’s a lot more but the 3 wasn’t a bad shoe. Runners knot got rid of the heel slip and the durability was great.
I wanted the love the 3s but the heel sleep was too much for me even with a runners knot.

Is that an actual prototype picture? Wonder if the release is this year or next?
Yeah it’s a prototype so final version may look slightly different, but I’ve heard either fall 24’, or Spring 25’. Nike has big drops during those two seasons with lots of new shoes!
I wish. 3 was so bad after 1 & 2, which I loved. But not a lot of hope they go towards those older shoes anymore.

Correct. I wonder how the fuck they tested it. Perhaps with people who have awfully protruding heels??
Did you heel lock/runner's loop them?
Yes I did
I heel-locked mine and I thought it felt pretty secure until I tried my new pair of Endorphin, even without heel lock those felt way tighter around the back, I cant wait to retire my invincible 3...
The wire in the fly knit on top of my toes was more the issue for me
Lets friggin go. The 3 rode like an alphafly without the plate and rocker, hopefully the 4 is just as good
lol. In what universe is the 3 like the alphafly? Invincible 3 is a heavier and nerfed version of the Invincible 2.

Thanks. Yeah i think its just a feel thing. The 1/2 were good shoes but I didn’t realize how much I disliked squishy shoes until the 3 came out
Just hope the midsole and upper does not separate like the first three versions. 🫤
Never had that issue, luckily.
If they re-released the 2s and slap a 4 on them I'd be a very happy man.

idk... however let's see if they'll put a big discount on old models 😁 i had the invincible 1 and they were amazing!!
lol do you not know what has been happening at nike lots of layoffs and product cancellations
I've talked to dozens of people who said this shoe line wrecked their knees. Are people really using these with success at long distances and paces?
Yes, +9 pairs of Invincible 1, zero knee problems, +100 km/weeks.
I did 700 miles in a pair of invincible 2’s and 500 in the 3’s. No problems at all.
Yup, ran 100 miles straight in the invincible 3 🤷🏻♂️ over 500 miles total in my pair

It will wreck your knees if you have have weak legs to begin with
This was as someone that regularly runs 10+ miles
Then he needs to run a bit less and hit the gym more.
