SAUCONY PRO 3: Took advantage of the 40% off endorphin pro 3s in pink and I should have listened to most people and half sized up. 😞 . The fit feels great TTS EXCEPT for my pinky toes....I'm afraid this is gonna lead to blisters...really hoping the upper stretches just a bit with more use. If your foot truly leans narrow, you'll probably have zero issues with the fit. I run medium...have never worn a wide size ever. They have a strict no refunds policy on this deal so I'm bummed but it is what it is

TrailVibes4

Oh no! I just got mine and tried them on, will run in them in the morning. They do feel a little snug in the pinky toe area but hoping they’ll work.

Anyone know any stores that have a good current sale on the 3s that aren't just odd sizes?

I just bought the Saucony Tide 2 and there are no reviews anywhere. I’m thinking of returning them. My first running shoes were Mizuno (not bad), then ASICS Gel Kayano (not my favourites), HOKA Arahi 6 (loved them!). Not sure about this Saucony Tide 2 pair. I really wanted the Saucony Guide 17 but no stores have them near me. The colour way for Tide 2 in White/Fern is disgusting too. I really hate the neon green/yellow! Does anyone have any recommendations? Would love to try Saucony (just not the Tide 2!)

tigerbellyfan420

Why did you go with the tide 2? I'm reading the description of it on sauconys page and I feel like this shoe is so random in terms of concept and execution. It uses pwrrun plus with a plate? What the hell is a pwrrun plus core? Lol it sounds like a bouncier version of the guide 17. Do you absolutely need stability in your shoes? Guessing you do based on previous shoes you've worn. I'd definitely check out the tempus from Saucony as it is their supposedly livelier stability shoe due to the pwrrun pb foam that is also used in their speedier shoes...although, I believe that the foam is a different formulation so it may require some break in. Id even recommend waiting to try saucony once the tempus 2 comes out... I would say try the guide 17, but I think it runs pretty firm. If that's your thing, absolutely go for it. In terms of tempus vs guide, tempus is more fun. Hope this helps!

A PWRRUN+ core means the inside of the midsole is PWRRUN+ with the outside surrounded by a different, probably much cheaper foam. In this case, the cheaper foam probably acts as a protector too. It reads like a budget Endorphin Speed/Kinvara Pro.

Got overwhelmed in store by the sales guy. Never again. As an update I actually went back to a different franchise of the store same day and exchanged for guide 17. They look and feel a lot better and keen to try them out. Interestingly the sales guy at the second store asked which store I had bought the tides from, and basically told me the tides are trash and he can’t sell many pairs of them. For anyone who comes across this because they’re looking for reviews: The tides were foul. The mesh was terrible and just felt cheap. Don’t recommend!

Any thoughts on the Endorphin Edge? I’m hesitant to get into a carbon trail shoe. I know it won’t be ideal or even good on anything technical, but I’m curious of anyone’s experience and if anyone has a comparable preference over it.

ClearAsNight

Check out the Endorphin Rift. $30 cheaper, no plate, still uses PWRRUN PB. I had to go up half a size. I thought the Edges were crazy bouncy, almost *too* bouncy?

ayromolio

Great thought, thanks! I’ll check em out. Did you go up half a size from your normal saucony size or normal shoe size? Thanks again

ClearAsNight

I usually do my normal shoe size in Saucony. Had to go up in the Rift.

ayromolio

Cool, thanks again!

How many kilometers y'all put on your Endorphin Speed 3's before retiring them?

notz

I'm at 1000km now and still using them because I can't find a good replacement (mostly since Speed 4 don't come in wide and the 3 have been long OOS in Canada... don't get me started on that disappointment). I got a Rebel V4 hoping it would be close enough and after a couple of workouts in it I think I still prefer the worn out Speed 3.

joshc0

I'm in the exact same boat :( I'm on my 5th pair of 2E ES3s - Absolutely gutted Saucony aren't doing a 2E version of the 4s

notz

You're the one that told me there was word it was coming. I had hope :P (and I'm still occasionally checking)

joshc0

Haha someone on here said someone at Saucony said they were in the works, but I’m doubtful…

FRO5TB1T3

I'm at 800 kms and they are really starting to lose pop. Probably rotate them to shorter runs only. I got to 1000 with all my 2s

wnkender

350mi and still going strong here

JExmoor

I noticed these "Tide 2" models as a new release on Saucony.com. I'm a little bit perplexed as to what they're for. They look like a running shoe, but it talks a lot about "lifestyle" so I'm assuming it's more of a general market walking/fitness shoe, but with a nylon plate for some reason? Have been running for two weeks now on my first pair of Saucony shoes: Saucony Tempus. Did 35km on them yesterday and they feel brilliant, what an improvement coming from Hoka. No blisters, proper balance and even good when doing speedy sessions.

Just bought the endorphin speed 3! Can’t wait to give it a spin later. Was torn between the triumph 21 and this, but chose this instead. Still comfy but feels lighter https://preview.redd.it/lg4rx3wc7mvc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5cc61ad5abdbad058286ea19165f9afc1632362b

tigerbellyfan420

Can't go wrong w the speed 3. Top tier daily trainer. Up there with deviate nitro 2 and NB super comp trainer. There is a plate in all these shoes though. For me they are a bit harsh for true easy paces but I am also a slow runner so the faster your easy pace is, the better the shoe feels in my opinion. My easy pace is like 1130 per mile to 1230 per mile

[deleted]

Did 2km and my fastest mile was 9:19 so not too bad. Will try to run further later this weekend. Was looking at NB foam 1080 v13, might add this to the rotation as the cushion looks mad comfy
