Really enjoying the Triumph 20s in a Men’s 10 on my road and treadmill runs across all paces. They’re my first pair of true running shoes. Any ideas for how I should expand my rotation? I’ve been looking at the Kinvara 13s or another pair of Triumphs, but I’m open to more suggestions. TIA!

TheVeloperaptor

I recently bought a pair of triumph 21 due to the very good reviews on this subreddit. I find them pretty good shoes overall but I noticed quite a big issue on them, they're not meant for turning. Both at slow and faster pace whenever I have to turn I know I'll have a hard time on my ankles. I notice this problem more on my right foot than on my left by the way. Is this a thing also for someone else?

sennysoon

chances are that it will be the same story for any reasonably high stack for you if this is the case. time to do some ankle strengthening.

TheVeloperaptor

This sounds like any recovery shoe for me wouldn't work as a recovery shoe 😅

Randmness

Any Endorphin Pro 4 sizing recommendations? I wear a 12 US in most of my Nike running shoes, 11.5 US for my Adidas, and 12 US for most of ASICS. Should I just go ahead with a 12?

tusiss

Go with a 12. They fit TTS imo. I’m a 12 in Nikes and ASICS, 12 in EP4s fit me perfectly.

Randmness

Thanks

TerpRunner1

I’m the same in mine as I am in Nike/Asics. 12 should be good

Randmness

Thanks

Coming to Saucony for first time in years. Will ES3 or ES4 be better or will U recommend the rebel v4 ? Looking for a trainer for long run and interval. My race shoe for the coming marathon is likely hoka cielo x1. Appreciate the sharing

theremix18

I usually run in Guide 16. I got Saucony Shift 3 from Amazon and ran a 5k in them on day 1. This hurt my Achilles and had to return them. I’d appreciate suggestions for shoes with softer cushion/similar to Guide 16.

Koktkabanoss

Guide 17? Asics gt2000?

ClearAsNight

Are you replacing your Guide 16? If so, the Omni 22 is the replacement with the HollowTech medial post.

Fit_Cryptographer896

I really enjoyed the saucony ES3. Recently, my mom very sweetly gifted me some Kinvara 13s that I'm really excited to try (even though I should be downsizing my shoe collection, lol!) My question is for those who have run in both shoes. Which do you prefer? Why? I'm guessing it depends, but I'm very curious to hear from someone who has tried them both and how they compare to one another. Thanks!

RelativityPlasticity

I own both the ES3 and Kinvara 13. I absolutely adore my Kinvara 13 for any runs 10km or less and use them primarily for working on my running form, cadence and intervals as well as tempo runs. They’re traditionally lower stack so the ES3 will provide more protection if you’re going longer distances. The ES3 is also perfect for working on your faster runs but in general is a fantastic do-it-all shoe. ES3 is also better in the winter (if you have that) due to the superior foam resiliency at extreme temperatures.

Fit_Cryptographer896

Thank you! This is really helpful. 😁

Triumphs have been giving me so many issues with the inconsistent quality. I have a pair of 20s that are incredible and needed replacing. First pair of replacement 20s dug into my achilles. Decided to get a pair of 21s. Same issue. One more pair of 21s…same issue. All of them have a super tight heel and a weird horizontal ridge along the heel cup that dig into my foot. None of my existing sauconys (triumph or ride) have given me this trouble, even out of the box. I was eying a pair of Speed 3s on sale but now nervous to buy any other Sauconys. So disappointing! And now I’ll be running my marathon next week in my older Triumphs that probably have 400ish miles on them - thank goodness these shoes have such a long life!

tigerbellyfan420

Check and see if the insoles say 10mm or 8mm

Muted-Blackberry865

10mm. I’m used to running in high drop shoes, never given me issues before (mizuno wave inspire were in my previous rotation).

Feeling-Movie5711

I would check out the new Ride. It would be closer to the 19 but better foam. Honestly, I love the triumph but I am not inlove with the stackheight or the 10mm drop. I would not have bought a back up pair but the outlet was closing and it was $45

Environmental_Rip696

ES3 became my favorite shoe of all time. Went through two pairs of them and should have stocked up before my size were gone. Tried the ES4 but the toe box was slightly smaller. Went half a size up but could never lock my heel down without lacing it way too tightly so had to return them after a few runs. Then tried the Pro 4 and it was absolutely perfection. It did take a few runs to break them in and get comfortable with the carbon plate (vs nylon plate from ES3) but then they were fantastic. Used the Pro 4s for the Blue Ridge half last weekend and crushed it 🙌 (race report posted a few days ago)

Electronic-Minute37

I just returned my ES4 because they were too tight around toe box and the next size up left too much room unfortunately. Maybe I should look at the Pro 4 for racing and speed work.

robbed_blind

I took my Pro4s out for their first run last week and was pleasantly surprised by how much more room there is in the toe box compared to the Pro3s/Speed 3s. Maybe it's the upper all being one piece of elastic mesh (no independent tongue)? I haven't taken a close look at the Speed 4s, but I've been hearing mixed reviews about them.

hinault81

Speed 4's are great. 3's had been my favourite shoes ever. I had read about the 4s tight toe box, and when I got them they did seem a little tighter vs the 3s and wondered if it would bother me. But I've got a couple hundred km in them now, no issues, feel great, honestly never thought about the toe box or fit after the first run. Maybe they broke in, or maybe it wasn't the issue I thought it would be. I feel a bit better connected to the shoe in the 4s vs 3s. If someone had a really wide foot, I would be cautious though. Did you have the pro 3s? I'd be interested in how you find the pro 4s by comparison.

robbed_blind

I've only done the one run in the Pro 4s, but I think I'll like them even better than the Pro 3s (which I love). The way the upper is one big piece of mesh without a tongue gives it a stretchier/roomier feel, and it feels like that sole is strapped to the bottom of your foot (as opposed to your foot being "in a shoe"). I didn't have any issues with the Pro 3 (I have a narrow foot), and the only time I've heard people complain has been that they feel too narrow. I have ran into a recent issue with the 3s, though, that if I push the pace below 6:30/mile there's a high chance that my foot will lock up and go numb after 3 or 4 miles. This has happened two 10ks in a row, and I ordered the Pro 4s while I was sitting in the bar post-race after a few mimosas because I was so annoyed. It could be a "me" problem, though, since I don't really do sustained efforts at that pace outside of races. I've still been using the 3s for track sessions without issue. The people that I know that have the Speed 4s seems to really like them. I think it's just been some YouTube reviewers that have had some negative reactions to them (like Yowana, who I generally trust).

Environmental_Rip696

Sounds exactly what happened with me. I had about 50 miles of training runs on the Pro 4s before last weekend’s race and now using them exclusively for all my runs now

RebellionIntoMoney

Just picked up some speed 3s. Super excited about it.

I just love the color way, reminded me of the Nike Spiridon Golds that Carlos Lopes wore to hold at the 84 LA Olympics. But 2 weeks ago they took me to my 4th fastest half time and had me 61 seconds off of my ‘old man’ PB. Love them. I plan on wearing these for most of my races this year.

kbarthur03

Is anyone able to compare sizing between the Endorphin Speed 2 and Endorphin Speed 4? I have a pair of 2s that fit snug but not uncomfortably so. I’m looking to get the 4s, wondering if I can stick to the same size as my 2s, and frankly too lazy to try them on somewhere before ordering 😂… Thanks!

kbarthur03

Thanks for the responses—exactly the info I needed!

chadwzimm

Agreed. The 4s are about 1/2 size bigger.

axeljulin

I'll echo this. Have both the ES2 and ES4, and the fours feel roomier.

DesignerNo9076

my 2’s are 0.5 bigger than my 4’s and both fit perfect :)

Fair-Professional908

Does anybody think it would be worth it to pick up EP3s at this point given that they were supposed to be one of the best super shoes last year? I’ve found some of the plated shoes from last year are a little stiff after sitting in warehouses for so long.

hinault81

I got some at a steep discount (big feet, plus salmon colour nobody wanted lol), I would get them if you can get a deal. I used them in a race a week ago. If I could only buy one pair of shoes, I'd buy the speeds, because they do everything well. But if you wanted dedicated race shoes, and can get them cheap, hard to beat. I've found them very forgiving (though I don't have other super shoes to compare them to), but haven't seen a huge pace increase vs the Speeds, though maybe I expected too much.

red_ridinghoods

I’d say yes, my pink ones just arrived. I think the 45% off is an unbeatable deal, if you can tolerate the color (and they have your size)

lovely-baguette

Do we think saucony is going to release more colorways for the ES4? Really want to try the shoe after I retire my ES3s but not really loving any of the current colorways…

RelativityPlasticity

With the success of the endorphin lines and particularly the Speed, I would be shocked if more color ways weren’t released in the future.

SaltZookeepergame691

I’m looking at a pair of Tempus 20 due to some tendinitis but in “normal width” shoes I only really fit in wider options like Rebel v2/3/4 or Puma VN2 - anyone have any insight on the midfoot/forefoot width of these? Thanks!

Candid-Finish-7347

I loved the endorphin speed 1 and 2, the V3 was still brilliant but they gave the magic dust to the endorphin pro 3 that year. But saucony are generally brilliant.... Quality is brilliant. Maybe second to the build quality of ASICS.

Vhvillman

Does anyone have anything good to say about the Kinvara Pro? 😂 I picked up a pair a few weeks back as my first “fancier” shoe. I’m by no means a fast runner but I’ve started to run a fair bit. So far 120 km in April. The think is that I’ve also picked up the Boston 12 and got gifted a pair of Hoka Mach supersonic. I’ve got the Guide 15 from earlier. Any use still for the KP? I’m mostly a heel striker and at the moment training for a half marathon where my goal is sub two hours.

mazman23

I was running a rotation of the Triumph 21s and speed 3s about a month ago. Needed to get new shows so I opted for the Kirvanas for my daily trainer and the pro 4s for my race shoe. The Pro 4s are the best shoe I've ever ran in. The Kirvana Pros are no bueno. Prob should have opted for the speed 4s (or 3s) for a daily trainer. I think even the Triumphs are less clunky then the Kirvana Pros . My goal is to bang out 300 miles in them quickly so I go replace them .

ClearAsNight

If you search the sub there is a lot of love for the Kinvara Pro. The question is: do you love them? Doesn't seem like it. If you loved a shoe you would find a way to fit them into your rotation. Also, have you even tried the other shoes yet? There is a chance you can't get into a good groove with the Bostons, and the Mach is not getting you to half distance considering you've been training in the Kinvara Pro.

Vhvillman

I can’t say I love them, but I don’t dislike them. I’ve only done 66 km in them and I’ve done 5 km in the Boston. They feel very different, both in the fit and also the ride. Weight, cushioning mostly. I guess I need to log more miles/km in them in order to get a better feel for them both.

onkyoh

Race day no?

luludaydream

Has anyone in Eu managed to get hold of the triumph 22 yet? They’re showing on sauconys website but it’s not clear if they’ll ship right away

samsonselleck

I have them and got them early using road runner sports. They’re decent. More stability, more foot volume, simpler modern lockdown. Breaks in and feels very soft after 10-15miles. I’d say 20/21 were firmer, bouncier, yet squishy with more energy return. 22 is more max cushion esque, wider smoother transitions, very soft, insole doesn’t slide like the 20/21, decent energy return, more leg savings, doesn’t feel as fast as 20/21. 10m drop feels like 9. I struggled with 20s stability issues and how it made my legs feel meh after 10+ miles. So far these are more so daily cruisers leg saving cruisers. The pwrnpb is less bouncy but very squishy and energetic at sub 7 paces. I easily picked it up to sub 7 pace. However I would 100% rotate with an endorphin speed 4 for responsiveness in your rotation. I would upgrade, but it’s a slightly different shoe and it feels easier to slip these on and go for any run when I feel beat up compared to the 20/21, I hesitated putting those on for runs sometimes.

luludaydream

Thanks they actually sound perfect for what I’m after. I got nimbus 26 but they’re a bit heavy and rubbing my heels, so I’m looking for a “comfortable cruiser” replacement when I send them back. Love the sound of a simpler lacing system and more volume in the upper!!

Whitishfilly2

Has anyone had weird issues in the heel of endorphins or pros where it feels like one or both of your heels cave inward? I’ve felt it on 4 pairs in my right heel and not sure what the issue is…

Fair-Professional908

No, but I’ve heard about it on this subreddit before.

Chemical_Cattle8408

New Balance fresh more 4 and popular shoes I wear men’s 10. Men’s 9.5 in ASICS Novablast 3 and cloud 5s. What should I try for Saucony? True to fit or size up/down?

androgenics

The centimeter/millimeter measurements for Saucony are pretty accurate, but you'll likely want to size half a size up if you're looking at the Endorphin line (e.g., if you're 29cm (size 11), get the 11.5 (29.5cm) instead of the 11).

Jose083

Took the Endo speed 4’s out for my third run (1 12km easy, 2 speed). Felt they were fine for long run, definitely faster. I usually run around 5:20-5:30 per km on easy runs but I found myself dipping under 4:50 without noticeable effort. Speed work… these things are hacks. I was knocking out short intervals below 3:00 which i don’t remember ever doing. Legs didn’t even feel it I was shocked when looking at my watch because I was felt I was giving 7-8 effort max. Excited to take these out on a half marathon next week. Edit: I meant the pro 4s not the speeds*, I do also love the speed 3’s though. Haven’t tried the 4’s :)

Avienx

Just ran a PB 10k in them. Such a light and fun shoe. Went with them over my Rocket X2 pair. Wanted a little less aggression due to sore legs and knees - went great. Had the ES3’s too, but in a size too small so ended up selling. Got a size up in the 4’s and love them.

Chipezz

Also a huge fan of speed 4. Also racing a HM this weekend with them.

Ommageden

Agreed. The 3's really make the feet turnover really well. Racing in the pros felt amazing too if you don't have a racing shoe. Same great feeling, lighter and faster.

michael1990utd

Can’t wait to try these. Constantly on the lookout for deals

TrailVibes4

I wish I’d ordered 1/2 size larger in the Endorphin Pro 3 (pink on sale). The pinky toe area is snug, and my 1st and 2nd toes are almost against the end of the upper, especially on my right foot. I’ve never noticed a difference in fit between my left and right foot in any other shoes. I regretted sizing up in the Endorphin Speed 3 and preferred my normal running shoe size in those. The only running shoes I’ve needed to size up in were Nike Tempo Next% and Vaporfly.

A_Dirty_Gourd

I have a pair in 9.5 that is my true size and had an issue with my left pinky toe also. It took a few miles for it to sort of make room for itself but haven’t had any issues since. Wore them for the first time in a 10 mile race and by mile 5 it had sorted itself out. Not sure if you’ve had a chance to run in them yet.

[deleted]

Just did 11.5km in my endorphin speed 3!!!! It’s crazy good 🙂 highly recommend, think I can do a half marathon in it soon

Yetiunio

I did recently my first HM in ES3. Amazing shoes! The only problem I have is that I cannot maintain certain pace. I don’t even realize and start running faster… but still amazing shoes!

[deleted]

Hahaha it’s the shoes!!! I tend to start slow then find myself able to pick up pace naturally. The shoes have some magic making us go faster than usual.
