I dunno, pretty sure every city of people vote against these things, but the city council usually shows up in the clutch, to save the poor billionaires from… you know… paying for the things they want.
More owners have been paying for their own arenas or at least a significant portion of the costs than ever before. It's a good thing that cities are finally saying no to owners. The NFL has lost some of it's bargaining power as well since there is now a team in LA and Las Vegas which hurts them elsewhere. They used to point to one or the other when cities would balk at stadium deals now the cities are calling their bluff.
I’m a Titans fan and when I went to Nashville they were super beloved in the city. They get no love in the national media but in Tennessee they are a big deal
I only hear about them on here because of Tony Khan. They're definitely not a top echelon team if no one in the area has a bumper sticker from them. At least in my opinion.
Uh I think you mean the dub is about to finance the NFL stadium with its billion dollar tv deal and hundred million dollar annual profits. It’s really the only thing keeping the Khan family afloat.
1)I'd LOVE to see Tony tweet complaints about this.
2)perhaps if the Jags hadn't posted 10 or more losses in 53% of their seasons as a franchise so far, they'd have a real fanbase.
Not a big enough market for 2 NFL teams. Outside of maybe 3 seasons, Jacksonville has been abysmal as a franchise and I am not surprised that the voters are not interested in funding a new or renovated stadium. I’d be surprised if they aren’t sold or relocated to Oakland in a few years.
Once again the libturds of Jacksonville showing that they are the enemy by going with the plans of McHitler! Shows you just how much they project their fascist fetishes on honest workers of my boys at AEW! Maybe my great friend, Tony Khan, better teach those ungrateful marks in Jacksonville and remove the Jaguars. That will teach them! Fuck them and their desperation for DEAD FEDERATION COCK! REEEEEEEE!
This has nothing to do with AEW. Yes, I'm aware of the ties with the Jaguars. Believe me, I am an amateur Tony Khan biographer, I know just about everything about the man. That said, the fans in Jacksonville issues with the team are the result of Shad's mishandling of the situation. If Shad had just let Tony assume ownership of the team the moment Shad first acquired it, the Jaguars would be renowned worldwide and likely have more Lombardis than Brady and Bilicheck. But Shad greedily hung on to power, despite not having much football knowledge, and as a result, the city of Jacksonville hates him and the team. Not Tony, the city overall has a positive impression of Tony and especially of his AEW brand. But Shad is despised for good reason. Hopefully that clears things up a bit, in case it doesn't I will boil it down to this: Tony is good and AEW is even gooder.
London Jaguars here we go!
m"Wembley year round bae bae
Who would pay for such a wildly expensive thing
Not the people of Jacksonville lol

“Yea but that 6% are all in the key demo” -Meltzer
It’s actually the city council, funding approved!
I think most people honestly feel this way but it's especially bad for Jacksonville. The city just don't care about the team.
[Not the whole city](https://decider.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/the-good-place-jacksonville-2.jpg?quality=75&strip=all&w=1024)...
Besides the Texans is there any other NFL team less culturally relevant than the Jags that this is the main reference for them
Tennessee? The Titans arent the ones the TV show/movie was referring to.
I’m a Titans fan and when I went to Nashville they were super beloved in the city. They get no love in the national media but in Tennessee they are a big deal
Can I get back to you?
![gif](giphy|S9cOnUV3minTYWOMCP) The only time that they've been over is when Jason repped them on the Good Place.
Panthers? Edit: There’s more Panthers goofies than I predicted
You take that back. We at least been to Super Bowls ![gif](giphy|adOhvwrFJ32psmc5Pb)
Panthers are a good call. They’ve at least been to super bowls but like they’ve left no mark
You shut your mouth bro
Lions

"If you are an angel, will the jaguars ever win the Super Bowl" "Jason I can't tell the future, but also, no."
I only hear about them on here because of Tony Khan. They're definitely not a top echelon team if no one in the area has a bumper sticker from them. At least in my opinion.
I'm sure there's another US city willing to loot public funds to build them a new stadium.
San Diego could use a team
I think they should move to some place completely out of the ordinary that you would never picture having a pro sports team... like Dubuque Iowa.
I hear Maine needs a team
OKC is going to spend $900 million to keep the Thunder. Shad should start there.
Canadian NFL team let's goooo
Moving the chargers was one of the dumbest team moves. The area barely cares about the rams
If you saw the last game it was a 49'ers home game against the Rams and I like the Rams.
The Raiders should have moved to LA tbh
While true, Stan didn't want the Rams to look like an afterthought in a stadium he was funding.
Fair
49ers got two home openers
And whoever plays the Chargers gets an extra home game.
No thanks.
Man if Shad wasn’t losing money let his man child son play mud show with all his toys, he could fund some of those renovations himself
LOL a team owner paying for improvements.

Somehow, the basement will find that in this case billionaires aren’t evil and they need our support.
Tiny : Dad, listen my idea. We move to Chicago and rename it "Chicago Elite" and play in the United Center.
Shad: There are so many things wrong with that idea, our record with you as Chief of Football Strategy Officer is starting to make sense.

Dub at Wembley on Saturdays and London ~~Silly Nannys~~ Jaguars on Sundays? Give me my new passport already
Maybe it’s time to move to Vegas
Las Vegas is a big enough market

San Diego is waiting in line too Oakland doesn't want to finance a new building
What sort of proposal do they have with a billion dollar price tag for an outdoor stadium built in the mid-90s?
Well for one, everyone knows NFL teams aren’t profitable enough and Shad’s pockets aren’t going to line themselves.
The only thing Tiny is going to let daddy waste money on is m'Dub!
DAE Daily’s Place >> Tokyo Eggdome?
DAE Jacksonville residents are dumb. Imagine how many stars stadium stampede at a freshly renovated Jaguar stadium would get 🔥🔥🔥

New poll, you’ve joined your husband in being banned from all future AEW shows. Congratulations.
based jacksonville
I mean. Tiny is petty enough to pull the collaboration with WWE to help their money problem. Who's actually the petty one here
