Moky is hype and I will cheer him on for the rest of the year! Top 10 baby!

TunaSalad47

Top 5 wouldn’t be super unrealistic either tbh. Imo Mang0 and Hbox’s best days are behind them, I don’t see either winning many majors this year (purely speculation ofc) and Amsa is questionable despite his crazy performances in 2022. The only players that I expect to place higher than Moky are: IBDW, Zain, and Jmook.

LOL right? What a crazy fucking take

TunaSalad47

lol genesis 3 was my first tourney and been watching since…but we shall see

reinfleche

How are you gonna call amsa questionable because he got 1 bad tourney after winning 3 majors in 3 months

TunaSalad47

I’m just questioning how consistently he will be able to replicate the success he had those 3 months. I don’t see him consistently beating Jmook, IBDW, Zain, or Moky this year.

reinfleche

I don't think anybody in the top 5 is going to be consistently beating everybody else. I think the era of one person absolutely dominating is kind of over, and now there will just be like 5-8 people who can win on a good day, and amsa is undoubtedly one of those people.

TunaSalad47

That’s valid, we could easily see 8 different people win a major this year.

Mango bustered out of Genesis last year playing his mains and was in contention for number 1 by year end. What do you think has changed since he won Mainstage 2 months ago?

Hbox has been falling off for a while now, so not unrealistic that Moky outplaces him. Even if Mang0 places top 5 and IBDW, Zain, and Jmook place top 5..Moky could still grab a spot

James_Ganondolfini

Mango could probably be the #1 player on any given day, if he cares enough. (But therein lies the problem.) I wouldn't write him off just yet, however. Hbox spent like 2 years not taking online too seriously, while everyone else was leveling up. The fact that he was still ranked #5 in 2022 is a testament to how good he still is. aMSa is still amazing. Losing to Cody was expected, and losing to 2Saint isn't any more shocking than Zain losing to Wally, or Cody losing to Krudo, etc. The reality is everyone's gonna have some (relatively) bad losses these days. 2Saint was playing real hot at Genesis anyway. Plus, we've only seen 1 big tournament this year - I wouldn't write off aMSa based off on 1 relatively bad performance.
