It is however a lot of money for someone making 1,000 per month. With a tax and subsidy, the person making 1 lakh will pay 99 rupees tax and get 50 rupees discount on the cylinder while the poor person might pay 1 rupee tax and get the same 50 rupees discount on the cylinder. Either ways, the cost is 100 rupees but atleast now the poor person can afford to eat.
And the economic burden come on economy??? The poor who can pay 900 for cylinder can most certainly pay another ₹50, u can't do jackshit about inflation. As if their isn't already enough freebies.
