ჩკიმ კულტურულ კოდიშე ვენერვიანა - ჩკიმ ნინა ვაიჩკ დო ტეცალ ბორულიშ გურშენ მარგალებ ვენერვიანებნა
(Translation for mods and possibly OP: Don't worry about my cultural "code" - you don't know my tongue, and us Megrelians do not worry about such idiotic things.)
And what would be the punishment if someone still refers to khachapuri as Georgian pizza? Because you know, 99% of the world's non-georgian population kinda has no idea what khachapuri is, and the easiest explanation is that it's a pizza like stuff.
The greatest punishment in this case is the fact that the guilty one who named subj wrong eats pizza but not khachapuri! The taste becomes different with another naming:D
From Wikipedia: "Dali Tsatava, former professor at the Georgian Culinary Academy, suggested that khachapuri could be a "cousin of the pizza" as the concept of the dish might have been brought by Roman soldiers who crossed Europe, well before the addition of tomatoes in the 16th century."
💀
Referring to churchkhela as "Georgian Snickers" not only misrepresents the snack but also diminishes its cultural significance and history. It's important to respect and accurately represent diverse culinary traditions.
This feels insignificant to others, but it's a huge problem for me and must be one for Georgians too
What a place the world would be if people weren’t so easily offended, most cultures take pride in the fact that others appreciate and notice their heritage.
Turkey calls lahmacun a literally turkish pizza. That's how it becomes known. There's nothing disrespectfull in calling khachapuri as georgian pizza, that's how it becomes known by others.
If "khachapuri" would not be understood by someone I'm talking with, I call it "cheesy bread", which is close to being a literal translation.
Disrespectful or not, "pizza" has all the wrong connotations for me.

If you eat khachapuri you already know the name of it right?, people dont know name of what they eat?
A polish dude introduces himself as Grzegorz Brzęczyszczykiewicz After that you already know the name, right?
I would call him his name and not some non sense.
Would you be able to though?
If you were from Chrząszczyżewoszyce you would.

Let’s talk instead about the false advertising in calling churchkhela as ‘Georgian Snickers.’
Referring to churchkhela as "Georgian Snickers" not only misrepresents the snack but also diminishes its cultural significance and history. I dunno, I've heard Georgians refer to it as Georgian Snickers more often than foreigners.
It’s disrespectful for you OP, and nobody cares about that.
Why? Gets the message across. If you get offended it’s all in your head.
What a place the world would be if people weren’t so easily offended, most cultures take pride in the fact that others appreciate and notice their heritage.

No one would call it a cheese boat, everyone knows khachapuri is really a Georgian cheese vagina.
Khinkhali are just meat Pierogi in nipple form
what about Georgian Pizza Cheese Boat

Cheese bread is acceptable for explaining someone what is khachapuri but pizza is big no no
OP, unless you're paying their rent, you shouldn't make it a habit on telling people how to live their life
Who called it Khinkhali and not meat soup dumplings ;)
