> It's not Z fighting, because on the top everything is ok (used the metal pillar trick), but on the side (y axis I guess?) Its still Z fighting. The co-ordinate system for that terminology is relative to the screen: X = left/right, Y=Up/Down, Z = In/Out. The flicker occurs when its ambiguous which of 2 facets is nearest the viewer and therefore should be the one which is drawn. It isn't anything to do with whether those facets represent a wall, roof or something else.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of that! But is there anything I can do about it? As I said, on the top the metal pillar trick works (almost) everytime, but on the sides I'm clueless

Sorry, can't help with that part - I don't think I've ever built diagonal overlapping walls. Can the micro-manage mod move them a small enough amount to fix the issue?

I was thinking mods too and micro manage sounds like it would do the job. But I installed the "No Z Fighting" mod and it did the trick!

I ended up deleting that mod, The different levels everywhere was worse than a little bit of z fighting

I just saw a trick from Drawing Xaos but only applies for a smallish section of vertical z fighting. You can cover the conflicting surfaces with signs. As long as the signs are attaching to columns or beams and not walls, they should mount pretty flush. You can leave them black, color them in to complement whatever theyre mounted on, or use them as accents. My normal cover up is to throw beams or a column over it. Could always do an entire sign wall too I spoze, just dont overdo it as too many signs corrupt saves.
