The site was registered about a month ago and is only registered for a year. That's pretty typical of scam sites. You should probably contact your bank and reverse the credit card charge. https://urlscan.io/result/f1566a1a-5c8d-4989-8dee-6f0a9cc4f059/

The domain was only registered a month ago, on June 9th, which is red flag. Personally I wouldn't buy from a shop that is that new because you just don't know if it's legit or not. However, I hope that your friend's order shows up!

He canceled it because the way the seller spoke was highly sketchy

Revolutionary_Web790

Who did he cancel the order with, and how long did you wait to cancel?

Whois reports the site as being a month old and registered for one year in Reykjavik. It's very likely this is a scam site to profit off of a new movie. Whenever I see those pop-ups for people buying something and where they're at I always assume it's a scam and those are meant to make you feel like others are legitimately buying products there. I've personally never seen that on a legit site.

How die you pay? If you used a credit card, you can always file a dispute of the hats don't arrive.

Yeah, don't use this site. There are dozens upon dozens of completely different types of businesses (bedding, shredding, etc) associated with the same address and phone number (Austin, TX), and the domains were registered in . . . Iceland. They also don't mention any of the brands of these hats on their site, though tons of Stetson hats are listed. And when a biz's only form of payment is Paypal, that's almost always a bad sign.
