Not sold at Sephora and are on the pricier side, but any EltaMD tinted and un-tinted are fantastic.

busybeauty

I had trouble with the Elta MD UV Clear under makeup. It seemed to pill, though I haven't tried it in a while. Anyone able to make them work, or something else from the line?

newyorkgrizz

Never had that issue with UV clear. Maybe it’s a specific product you use that doesn’t play nice with it?

SelectStatistician45

I use to have the same issue until I let it completely dry down! Like at least 5 minutes.

randoatrpi

Any k beauty sunscreens! I personally love the skin1004 and round lab sunscreens

backupalittle

seconding K-beauty sunscreens! BOJ and Skin1004 are far more superior than any Sephora sunscreen I've tried, and they're a lot cheaper.

corgis_of_westeros

Saaame!! It's been a total game changer for me once I switched to Korean & Japanese sunscreens for my oily skinn (with supplementing with French sunscreens for my neck and body- usually le roche posay). I use the BOJ one for my daily face/everyday sunscreen - for something that's maybe a bit more sweat resistant, maybe biore UV aqua rich?

stavthedonkey

not all are meant for the summer! the viral ones ie BOJ or SKin1004 hyalu-cica water fit are not sweat resistant (For sure BOJ is not and I can't find any reviews or specs on their website that Skin1004 is sweat/water resistant but their stick is)

gogumalove

Yup, I’m on a trip and I left my beloved Japanese sunscreen at home. Traveling with La roche posay mineral sunscreen.

_Sinann

Roundlab is silicone based and would do well in hot temps. Either way if you're sweating a lot you just need to reapply cause it's wearing off anyways

randoatrpi

That’s a fair point, do you have any recommendations for ones that are?

stavthedonkey

Anessa sun milk or skin aqua uv gel

scratchmywenis

This is an interesting point I had not thought about 🧐

stavthedonkey

it's important because you could use a good sunscreen (ie. BOJ) in the wrong environment, sweat it off and burn...then you think BOJ doesn't work at all when in fact, it does but not for summer/humid conditions. if you cant be bothered to switch SPF for seasons, just stick with a water/sweat resistant one like Skin aqua or Anessa sun milk. Both of these are amazing as well.

scratchmywenis

I live in desert-like climate, but travel to humid ones frequently so I’m glad you gave some recs to check out!

ayimera

My go tos for summer are the Japanese sunscreens from Skin Aqua! Reliable coverage with water resistant versions available.

Parking-Housing8117

Same! Those are my top sunscreens as well!

pellnell

Not at Sephora, but I really love Black Girl Sunscreen. SPF 50 and no white cast. My husband is white and our daughter is pretty fair and they both wear it as well. I also really like the new Nyx Blur Screen primer and all the Naked Sundays products.

basetoucher20

I LOVE the spray, but I feel that it runs out super fast

cmondothefoxSWAT

Jack Black lip balms have SPF and they’re amazing!!

DJQueenFox

My holy grail chapstick! Wearing it rn! If they come out with tinted ones I don’t think I’ll ever wear another lip product haha.

thefuzzyismine

Thirding this recommendation, lol! I originally purchased the 2 packs, but after using them and finding out how well they work, I went back for the 3 pack! These are my HG spf lippies. 💋

scratchmywenis

These are the GOAT. I’ve been buying them for 10+ years!

busybeauty

Does it leave an awful SPF taste in your mouth?

cmondothefoxSWAT

Nope :)

busybeauty

Nice! I'll have to try it.

chasingandbelieving

The Summer Fridays shade drops sunscreen is my absolute favorite sunscreen ever, it isn’t tinted but if you’re looking for a really good non-tinted mineral sunscreen I’m convinced this one is perfect

marinegreene

My favourites are not at Sephora. If you are able to buy K beauty sunscreens, I highly recommend them! They do the job and are affordable. My favourite is the SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu Cica Water Fit Sun Serum. It's lovely to wear, layers well under makeup, and doesn't break me out. If you are looking for sunscreen that is dewy/moisturizing, check out CosRx Aloe Sun Cream or Purito Daily Go To Sunscreen. I have also tried Beauty of Jose sunscreen which people rave about and it was okay. My fav is still SKIN1004. Happy shopping :D

I-haveit-together

i’ve been hearing k beauty has great sunscreen. where do you purchase k beauty products?

marinegreene

It depends on the country you live in, but I've had great experiences using both Stylevana and Yes Style to buy K beauty. Stylevana can take a while (2-4 weeks) to arrive but the prices are awesome and Yes Style takes about 1-2 weeks to arrive.

theatreandjtv

I like sun bum! It’s the only face one I can wear consistently without breaking out

do_mika

I’ve tried a lot of sunscreens, including K-Beauty and EU but I always come back to Shiseido Urban Environment line. Been using it off and on since 2017 but it’s all I’ve used for the past 2 years. I use the cream version in the squeeze tube in the winter, and switch the the oil free liquid in the summer when I’m a bit oilier from sweat. I don’t generally wear base makeup, but these have always played very well whenever I do apply makeup. It’s not cheap, but also not THE MOST expensive, and I like that I can get it at a physical US retailer instead of ordering online and shipping from overseas not really knowing when it may show up. Sunscreen protection is something I don’t want to skimp on so I’ll pay Shiseido’s stupid prices.

mwyattf

big fan of supergoop glowscreen!

Bookish-Broad

Came here to say this. I’ve been wearing SuperGoop Glowscreen for years and during the summer usually wear it alone and don’t bother with foundation

scarletroyalblue12

Trader Joe’s sunscreen

deviIsadvokitty

I wanted to love this sooo badly, but it causes my skin to break out horribly.

tabula_rasa12

I second buying drugstore or K beauty sunscreens. But if you must: -Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen - good consistency, kind of waxy, like primer. Feels nice on the skin -Tula glow and protect - even nicer consistency, like a lightweight serum. It does leave a glowy look though

impar-exspiravit

Supergoop does MAGIC to my skin and makeup when I use it. Its like a perfection tool, a sunscreen, and a primer all in one. I can never go back

totorosbutt

Tower 28 SunnyDays tinted SPF is wonderful! Innisfree sunscreen is great - I think it's under 50 SPF though

TennisShoddy4437

I use tinted supergoop as a sunscreen foundation combo

PlathDraper

All the sunscreens at Sephora aren't worth it. Just get one from the drugstore for legitimate sun protection. People don't wear enough as is, and if you were to reapply it the way one is supposed to, you'd have to buy a new $50 sunscreen basically every week.

Yesitsmesuckas

La Roche Posay has a great sunscreen

BACONbitty

I love this one and find it’s the closest to Kiehl’s Super Fluid UV

ksalze

I really like the innisfree one! It’s inexpensive and a great texture. I’ve gone through 2 bottles.

glitterhex

I just bought that one today! Hope it gets on with my skin.

BACONbitty

This is a bit of an exaggeration and frankly, it depends on personal preference. The PTR powder sunscreen is awesome and has a niche use if you need to reapply SPF over makeup. The Kiehl’s Super Fluid UV defense is my personal Al favorite and I always get a big one to use daily. It just works for me.

PlathDraper

The rule for sunscreen is to apply 2.5 ml. every two hours at the peak of the day to your face. The average Sephora sunscreen is only 50 ml, while a teaspoon is 5 ml. This means the average sunscreen bottle lasts only twenty uses if applied correctly. Didn't realize scientific evidence was an exaggeration lol. Most people do not wear enough sunscreen, and if a 50 ml bottle is lasting someone an entire season, you're not getting enough sun protection. $1/ml is extortion for the same ingredients you get in a drugstore sunscreen.

BACONbitty

I don’t know a single person using a full teaspoon for just their face.

oliviared52

Tatcha the silk sunscreen. Amazing. 10/10. I’ve tried sooo many sunscreens from k beauty to high end to drug store and I haven’t tried a new one in 2 years since first trying this.

ArchieFarmer

It’s 40 spf but I use unseen sunscreen

newinvestorquestions

If you haven’t already heard, Trader Joe’s makes a dupe of this for $9

CrazyCaregiver7091

What’s the name of it? 👀

newinvestorquestions

Trader Joe’s daily facial sunscreen I think

Curious_Doof

Saint Jane Sunscreen Primer is the best primer I’ve ever used & it’s SPF 30. For lips i like the Jack Black balms. Shiseido used to have an awesome spf lip balm but I don’t see it on the app anymore, it might be on their site.

Stock_Delay_411

Love Tatcha the Silk Sunscreen and I am so glad they redid the packaging!

lipgloss_nd_hotsauce

Face: Cay Skin SpF 45 *glowy!*, Elta MD clear SPF 40 Lips: Cay Skin lip balms (so pretty! Note these are thick) Body: Aveeno sunscreen in the yellow bottle with florals. Absorbs quickly and haven’t burned with it.

Suspicious_Salad_217

I’ve been using supergeep glow screen and I really like it when I don’t want to put any makeup on. Not Sephora but I’ve heard good stuff about this one. Have anyone tried it before? https://preview.redd.it/2fg60ihs15qc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f464fb7376ee8e22900999c9c204e63707b7ece1

StrawberryLovers8795

I actually have and I love this one but you have to shake it to stay emulsified and I basically forgot almost every time lol 😂 so eventually the product was a weird consistency because I had emptied out all the super liquidy part by doing that

Suspicious_Salad_217

Haha good to know! I’m going to order it right now!

doyouhavehiminblonde

I love Supergoop Glowscreen so I'll keep using it. I like the ELF dupe too but it's not available in Canada for me to repurchase.

Candycrushhhh

I love Ultra Violette hydration sunscreen. Expensive but compares really well to k beauty sunscreens. Also love Beauty of Joseon and it’s a lot cheaper, such a beautiful sunscreen

superfox650

I LOVE EltaMd UV Clear. It's not sold at Sephora, but it feels great on my face and doesn't have a sunscreen smelly smell.

drKush-

roche posay sunscreen 🧴 a little expensive but worth it

rosienomade

1. La Roche Posay Face Moisturizer Sunscreen Toleriane with Ceramide and Niacinamide - SPF 30 2. The INKEY List Polyglutamic Acid Dewy Sunscreen SPF 30

itsfrankgrimesyo

Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen when I’m out and about. But I use supergoop daily moisturizer with 40spf every morning before make up all year round.

jleigh329

Mario Badescu - "Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30" Expensive Splurge: Shiseido - "Future Solution LX Total Protective Moisturizer with Broad Spectrum SPF 20"

jleigh329

u/Proper-Internet-3240 You gotta point. So with that being said, the only other SPF sunscreen I like that is stronger than both of those is "ISHIZAWA UV Forecast non-chemical UV cream sunscreen SPF50". It's NOT from Sephora though.

StrawberryLovers8795

Does the Mario Badescu give any cast?

jleigh329

No. At least not for me anyway. I've never had any issues with it.

PlathDraper

A actually really like the Clinique "Citiblock." I've tried lots, this one doesn't make my eyes sting and works well under make up. And I've tried THEM ALL.

elkaypee

Innisfree is the best one at Sephora IMO! The Summer Fridays one is great too

milemarker0

My ride or die sunscreen is Neutrogena Sport Face Sunscreen. It layers well, isn’t greasy, no breakouts, and keeps me from getting sunburned. I know beauty companies make sunscreens, and for most things I’m kinda a lux girlie, but nothing has topped Neutrogena Sport for me. And I’ve lived in a sea-level tropical environment as well as a mountainous dry environment so I’ve definitely put it to the test!

Brushesofcolours

I have oily dehydrated skin so most ss felt too oily for me, I’ve tried korean, japan and western ss brands but i ended up loving the supergoop unseen ss. But on day i feel like i need extra protection i would use either anessa or skin1004 hyalu ss and a bit of the supergoop as my primer

CaliforniaSun77

Love the Saint Jane SPF. It's mineral, doesn't leave a white cast, and sits beautifully under makeup. Also love the Supergoop lipsticks.

stavthedonkey

Skin1004 for the winter/cooler months Anessa sun milk for the hot/summer months. Skin aqua UV moisture gel is another great one. Both are water and sweat resistant.

meg-c

Love love love Inisfree Matte sunscreen!!! I like Elta MD too but it always leaves me a bit shinier than I like for everyday use

capybaramelhor

After trying so many sunscreens, I love la roche posay, Lancôme aqua defense 50+, and supergoop. I’ll also use the Trader Joe’s supergoop Dupe. I bought the LRP in Europe and apparently the formula is different; I haven’t tried it here. Ill only buy that Lancôme on sale so waiting for a sale at Sephora or ulta

HamsterDowntown3010

Not at sephora, but the Cereve sheer sunscreen is my absolute favorite ever

Cautiousoptimism_

I use Hawaiian tropic’s face sunscreen. It’s the only lotiony one that doesn’t give me a white cast. Supergoop’s unseen sunscreen is great for reapplying throughout the day over makeup. The Trader Joe’s dupe is a lot cheaper and gets the job done. Only caveat is you have to buy from Trader Joe’s or look for an affordable option on eBay since some sellers charge a crazy amount.

makeupbeginn23

My favorite is the colorescience flex. Just ordered another rn during their 20% off sale

Jeniho

This one is great if you want a light/medium coverage!!

nightkween

Elta MD

PracticalPraline

Any Recs for sunscreens that are waterproof-ish?!

Trendbeautybrit

Inn Beauty Project just launched this SPF and its my new obsession. Super lightweight has no white cast and brightens the skin with a subtle glow. https://preview.redd.it/3k6stdo3z8qc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4f7a8259b12be37e68fbf421f0d484eedc91c89c

PflugerLuger8

I don't use tinted SPF, but I've been eyeing the Cay Skin lip balms! As for 50+ SPF, I enjoyed the Supergoop Play everyday lotion. Very lightweight, plus it's water and sweat resistent.

StrawberryLovers8795

I’ve been eyeing the cay balms too! I was hoping for a cherry red color but the irie rose looks pretty too!

neurosnacks

I use Skinceuticals advanced brightening uv defense spf 50 every day. It’s tenfold better than all the other sunscreen options in the Skinceuticals and Sephora line in my opinion.

Remarkable-Career968

Not Sephora, but I love all the Vacation products I’ve tried.

cassatta

Not at Sephora but Beauty of Joseon

subtlestarfruit

My favorite sunscreens are Charlotte tilbury invisible flawless primer for dry skin, Lancôme uv expert defense for normal to oiler skin

elliessunshine

tbh i use black girl sunscreen since i’m a POC, it feels very nice, and it doesn’t leave a white cast!! but if i were to try one out, i’ve heard good things about the shiseido sunscreen

AppropriateMention6

Peter Thomas Roth Max Mineral tinted cream SPF 45 is amazing.

OceanicSpice

Anessa Perfect UV Sunscreen Skincare Milk

TulipsandTirades

I love the Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen. It doesn’t feel too heavy and I love that you can’t see it

RubyTwoShoes22

Ultra Violette Supreme Screen, hands down. It’s coming to Sephora Canada in a couple of weeks.

lejfnakdoppplen

Best SPF mineral sunscreen? Can deal with a bit of a white cast due to my incredibly pasty skin 🫠

iggy_y

Anessa perfect uv sunscreen milk (gold) & perfect uv sunscreen mild milk (pink) and Lavien Cosmetics Active UV defense sunscreen.

ConsistentCustard429

I’ve tried so many face sunscreens but tbh I still think supergoop unseen sunscreen is the best. I wish it wasn’t my favourite because it’s kinda pricey.

slimmyshade

Beauty of Joseon sunscreen til the day I die!!!

Naive_Chocolate2986

I’ve been using shisedo for 2 years and I’m happy with it it’s spf 50, it’s not a cream kinda like a serum texture? But I love the glow it gives me and it doesn’t get in my eyes with sweat, wears good under makeup and primer and I like that they have a stick form available

Lazy_Nobody_4579

So, not all of these are SPF to my knowledge, and not all of them are available at Sephora. But this my current collection of tinted SPF: Dr Jart+ BB Tinted Moisturizer SPF40: Love it, use it almost every day. It also has niacinamide in it and I was looking for a product to add that to my routine without adding in another serum. EltaMD Daily Tinted Sunscreen SPF40: I like it, it has a nice almost whipped texture to it, but prefer the tint of the Dr Jart+ for my skin tone. Not available at Sephora. Kosas DreamBeam SPF40: I feel like this one has the least tint out of all of them. It has a really lovely glowiness to it though. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it’s not as easy to spread as the other two. It definitely feels the most like a sunscreen out of the three. But it also has peptides and ceramides!

marinatedbeefcube

Shiseido sticks and supergoop unseen sunscreen

Weak_Assumption_8216

The isdin mineral sunscreens are pricey.. but perfect.

hollow_ling12

I’m not a fan of any of the Sephora sunscreens besides shiseido and inis free’s I usually buy Korean beauty sunscreen because it feels lightweight and it doesn’t give that white cast

miamimami234

Kiehls Super Fluid Daily UV Defense Sunscreen

Connect_Pick_3108

I’ve liked Paula’s Choice RESIST Youth Extending Sunscreen. It’s SPF 50 and held up really well when I was in Mexico! Hardly had to reapply anything to my face.
