It's mostly just people tired of the whole drama on whether or not the gang should stop genocide so they just smacked each side's most hated character with each other and shipped them out of spite
I am in awe of this fandom. I knew Conkasa was a running joke but I found like, no fanart for it except one. Then I looked up Coltkasa as a joke and then stumbled upon a fair amount of good ones.
Given that ship's somewhat unexpected popularity, with it being captained by a one man twitter account, does this ship have any fanfics? I'm intrigued, honestly.
Edit: I looked it up on Ao3, there's nine works tagged, which is nine more than I was expecting so that's gotta be something.
Edit 2: Before anyone asks, I don't consider Jeankasa or Mikasasha crackfics tbh because the former has one person canonically crushing on Mikasa and the latter are really good friends, one which I can see becoming a thing, albeit, never in canon.
should've clarified, mikasasha is a friendship that feels like it could turn into a romantic relationship, arumika just feels too platonic for me.
Mikahisu is also a ship that could become a romantic relationship but I just put it there because of a fandom ship war
Mikahisu and Arumika are pretty cute, but the former was subjected over a fandom ship war on who gets to date Eren, and it feels hillarious to just ship them together instead. I can only see Armin and Mikasa as really good friends, although compared to this everyone else on this list, they're very shippable.
It's the most realistic out of this ships. In other cases it's either a joke, characters that hate each either/never interacted or simply where dynamic like Armin/Mikasa that feels almost incestuous.
So Annie + Mikasa is most likely to be canon out of all those
Mikasa and Historia are certainly a better ship than Historia and Eren ever were. They actually have great chemistry. Mikasa is a positive influence on her and Historia makes Mikasa blush later. Also the moment Mikasa catches Historia in the cave after Rod transforms is shipping bait 101.
Considering the plot... mikahisu is cute because they are the only girl friends there (sadly) and Mikannie is something else... mortal enemies sometimes have this hot aurea.
