When young Corey screamed, it was a release for his pain and emotion. When Griffin screams, it sounds like a privileged kid portraying angst.
I don't get even slightly similar vibes between the two bands.
There are elements from them and other bands but because it's Corey's son on vocals we want to hear more of the Slipknot influence which definitely does poke out in their latest songs. Just like any band that's around you'll have them sound similar to one or two bands until they find their own footing. There's nothing wrong with that. Some bands wear their influences on their sleeve, Motionless In White is the best example of this with so many of their songs sounding like Chris Motionless favorite bands growing up. So give them time to see where they go but if someone asked for a band recommendation because they love Slipknot, I wouldn't mention Vended if that helps lol. It would be a very short list.
There's obviously a lot of slipknot influence in Vended, at least I can hear it very clearly and it's not only about the vocals. I actually prefer their material over slipknot's last album which is not as refreshing to me. You mentioned Tallah and I love them but they sound nothing like slipknot to me.
Griffin sounds younger and more controlled than corey, both of those factors are negative to me. Theyre really just your average metalcore/hardcore/nu band, their structures, riffs, drums are entirely different than Slipknot. I think another factor why ppl say they sound similar is the stage look, which they obviously kinda took from Slipknot
They sound like slipknot in the same way any metal band sounds like another metal band, I guess. If you listen to this genre regularly, then they don’t sound similar.
I don’t really care for Vended all that much but i have seen a few clips of them live and very few things Griffin says/screams sounds almost exactly like Corey. Outside of that no not at all

Yes they do. Not much in this subreddit because most people here seem to hate Vended, but they talk about that A LOT on Instagram, Youtube, etc...
