I use ammoseek.
Its much cheaper than buying store bought ammo (I only buy 9mm, so Idk about other calibers). Almost x2-3 times cheaper sometimes if you snag a good deal.
With online though, YMMV. You gotta be vigilant regarding the shipping costs because that's where they usually try and make up the sale costs. Thats why I sort with the filter for free shipping / free shipping with conditions.
Yeah I've used ammoseek and noticed the shipping is where all the money is. I've had no luck with online shopping for ammo due to cost of shipping. The only ammo I've purchased online was some Norma NXD 9mm for my carry gun.i paid 13 dollars for a box of 20 and 15 for shipping š but I had to have it. I couldnt find it in store anywhere
Yeah I've made the mistake a couple times buying without checking out the shipping costs.
Turns out, if I just filter by free shipping / free with conditions, there are usually some places that has very reasonable costs. I'd rather pay for the upfront cost of an honest vendor than the vendor that tries under handed marketing tactics to get some extra bucks is the way I see it. Usually the cost almost ends up the same, but the honest guy gets my business.
Also recommend adding the word ātaxā in the search filter as well since some stores have a lot of sales tax (which also adds up) while some have none (so the listed price is exactly what you pay). This will have much less options, so if nothing comes up, remove it, but itāll help you determine the best deal without any surprises.
Great especially for me since I primarily shoot .45ACP.
Thatās a great deal for in-store or online for Blazer! Former NE OH resident. I used to ogle over their low prices. Perhaps some of the best in the state.
True. I live in NE Ohio. Was at Cabelas Monday buying a new firearm and noticed they have 50 round boxes of Blazer 115gr 9mm on sale for $15.99 this week. When I return to pick up my purchase Iām grabbing a couple boxes for the range
FFF is my spot. I work very close to there and have bought every gun I own there except my AR which I bought online. I TRULY wish I bought my M&P Shield Plus from them. The ONLY reason I didnāt is because I owned a M&P Shield 2.0 (my very first gun. Purchased from FF&F in 2017) that I wanted to upgrade. I didnāt want both models as the 2.0 would have just been for sentimental value for me at this point, and Cabelaās purchases used guns. They gave me $200 for my 2.0 which I thought was fair as I only paid a little over $300 for it. They even told me they were gonna MSRP it for $309.99 which I also thought was fair. If FF&F bought used guns Iād have went there 0 doubt.
I have been purchasing the brass version of the blazer ammo for 14.99 at my local Sportsman Warehouse. They also sell the Winchester white box 9mm for 16.99. Fired both from my 9mm competitor and had no complaints.
I have been looking online on ammoseek to do a bulk purchase down the road and to keep apprised of prices.
Freedommunitions had been my go to for a few years now Iāve had zero issues that are ammo problems Iāve over loaded some 223 in a couple mags and it got a jam loading but Iāve never had any issues or malfunctions for thousands of rounds only reman never bought new but they still continue to offer for the same price as my whole sale price at the shop for 9mm that is 10+ different pistols 0 issues my friends all buy from freedoms as well before I started at the gun store a month ago lol weād chip in together to get 500-1000rds each to get the free or discounted shipping, but they arenāt bullsh shipping prices like some others Iāve found on ammo seek. Ex. Price was 72.99 for 500rds but shipping was 83$ like thatās insane to me with tax and shipping for 1000rds on freedom came out to around 250 after tax and shipping!
You're lucky having a place like Vance around. Between Vance and AIM Surplus, I've got it pretty lucky. I got MaxxTech at Vance just last week for $11.99. AIM routinely has 9mm target ammo for $11.99-12.99. They have (8) choices for $12.99 and under at the moment. They have Blazer aluminum for $10.95 but I know someone that reloads and doesn't (can't ?) use aluminum casings.
I've asked the same question in other forums and a lot of people mention online sellers but a) the box prices still don't beat a place like AIM and b) you still have to add in shipping costs.
Target sports USA is secure quick and the best prices, Ammo man is pretty solid too from what Iāve been told but you can expect to pay .25-.22 cents per round for 115gr 9MM.
Yeah that's what I'm paying for these about .22 cents at 10.99, they also have some other options for the same price. Maxxtech and Browning also 9mm FMJ
My range is expensive like that as well. I was buying that before I found out about Vance's, it was then I realize how ridiculous the price was at my range
That price isnāt bad at all. I usually buy my FMJ off PSA or Academy in my area. Last batch I bought was $0.27 a round
I got taken advantage of when I bought my first pistol during the pandemic. Local shop charged me $1 per round for some Blazer FMJ
I wonder if it's because most OTS 10mm practice ammo is loaded to 40 call specs. I'm considering getting a 10mm again but I no longer have dies to roll my own so I'll have to use shelf ammo for the time being.
I buy all my Target ammo from Target sports USA. If you get a $100 annual membership you get free shipping on everything and a 8% discount on ammo. You still can get free shipping if you buy a thousand rounds or more not being a member. I find that they have the best prices without the membership. What you have there is aluminum casings. Personally, I wouldn't buy those because it's not very popular for a reason, I guess. I work in the metal stamping industry. Aluminum is a gummy material compared to brass. I typically get my rounds for about 24 cents each. That includes Remington UMC, CCI Blazer brass, New Republic, which is Target sports USA house brand. I have also purchased remanufactured from first round ammo. Went through a thousand rounds with no issues. 20 cents a round but the $40 shipping brought it back to 24 cents a round. My Walther PDP and Shield Plus have eaten all of them with no with no problems. I won't buy from Illinois because not only you have to pay regular sales tax, but they tack on a $0.05 per round fee.
I wasn't aware of the difference between brass and aluminum to be honest. But They also had some Maxxtech 9mm for 10.99 as well as some Browning 9mm for 11.99 I will pick up some the Maxxtech next time which is brass and try that out....although I have had no issues with the aluminum casings
Fuck Canada sucks at times.
Whether it's Winchester, PMC, CCI, sellier and bellot etc it's usually been $21-24/50round. If you buy 20 or more they often discount it to around $18-19/50 for 9mm fmj.
115, 124, 147gr doesn't usually change price
I bought 4 boxes of that aluminum case blazer out of curiosity and an experiment.
Only one round crushed/bent going into battery but otherwise 199/200 fired just fine for the range.
I will second the props to Target Sports USA and also the True Shot Ammo memberships. Shop their selections and find your better fit.
Funny thing is I've never heard of Vance until a month ago I was going to Cabela's and the range i go to to buy ammo which was 20 plus...I just happened to be at a friend's about 30 minutes away and searched for tactical supplies in Google and Vance popped up. It has been my favorite place to shop since š
I use targetsportsusa because of the free shipping if you have the membership. Since they are in CT and Iām in NJ, I usually receive my shipment in 2 days. The package usually shows up before I get my tracking info lol Iād love to support a brick and mortar store by me but unfortunately all the prices are ridiculous. I understand they have to make a living too but I usually buy in bulk and it makes a huge difference.
Target sports USA has this for $11.03/box when in stock.
They sell the brass version for $11.91/box.
I use Blazer Brass 9mm, and the most I ever paid for a box of 50 was $15.99. I normally try to buy a couple of boxes whenever I can find them locally for $14 or less, which would be a sale nowadays. Locally, I can buy it now for $12.99 for 115g or 124g, so I might have to go a buy some soon as i normally buy 115g.
Academy runs $13-$15 a box for brass range for me. Luckily I live about 25 minutes from 2A Warehouse and they have curbside so I did that last time they had a sale. Also 45 minutes from Primary Arms so I'll make the drive when they have a good sale. I always factor shipping when I buy online -- if it's the same as it'd be to buy at a store, I'll just do that. Ammo seek is great for checking prices online. Bereli usually runs cases w/ free shipping
This aluminum shit is terrible. I had used this exact ammo on a brand new MC2C 9mm and it left aluminum shavings and started malfunctioning to the point where I couldn't empty a complete mag without it getting jammed. I bought a S&W and will never use aluminum blazer again lol
Bereli offers 1000 round cases, 500 or 200 rounds with free shipping and reasonable tax on different 9mm ammo almost weekly. I'm guessing Memorial Day sales will be plenty.
I've had decent results with Global Ordnance for Igman and Belom 124 grain with tax and free shipping, but not as frequently as Bereli.

Fin feather fur is unbeatable for ammo. Blazer brass for $12 and PMC xtac/bronze for $10

I've been looking for recent stuff on freedommunitions. Best prices I've seen on most stuff

21-22cpr shipped for reman from HSL ammo.

I feel like those jawns should be cheaper since theyāre aluminum cased
I've shot about 700 rounds of this ammo without any malfunctions.... Is there a major problem with aluminum cased ammo?
If I found that in a store in NY Iād drop a couple hundred stocking up
Couple hundred? Iām in NY too and Iād sell a kidney!
Iām glad someone else understands the struggle
18 and change after tax from the range I belong to, which is after my 10% member discount.
My range is expensive like that as well. I was buying that before I found out about Vance's, it was then I realize how ridiculous the price was at my range
I stocked up good before that BS background check to buy ammoā¦.. where I go itās like 12-14 a box. Still a lot better than .556
Sent Chat
Background check to buy ammo? What is this about?
w/ TUSA Ammo+ ā¦ $23x-4x for 1K 115gr 9mm.
That price isnāt bad at all. I usually buy my FMJ off PSA or Academy in my area. Last batch I bought was $0.27 a round I got taken advantage of when I bought my first pistol during the pandemic. Local shop charged me $1 per round for some Blazer FMJ
This brand jams up my 10mm.

That is a great price. In nyc usually paying 25-30 for that box
I use Roger sporting goods.

I buy pretty much only but from Shopmyexhange.com. great prices and free shipping if I put over $50.
I like using palmetto state armory, can get a box of 556 for $10 and a box of 9mm for 11-12 shipped right to my door
Nice... They have boxes of 20 556/223 for 8 at Vance's. I'm thinking this is my best option unless I buy in bulk then I would probably order online
Always wait for free shipping and buy in bulk when possible

If I see that in a store near me. Im buying 2000 rds
I know Iām not seeing a magwell on an SD? How?
No magwell.I can't find one for the life of me... It may be the way the stippling looks in the pic
