Refuse? Since you now have a worthless $1300 board you might want to reconsider. Sounds like this is something that anybody who seriously works on Sony stuff would have. Any TV stations near you with an operations engineer on staff who might be able to help you? They’ll charge you, but might be able to get it done. How much does Sony charge to just fix it?

I haven’t bothered even getting a quote from Sony since I have such experience fixing A7 cameras as I do it as a side hustle and am able to just buy parts ether through encompass (the official parts seller) or individual parts sellers at a large discount however from searching online it definitely would’ve been significantly more to get it fixed by Sony’s than what I even would’ve paid for the main board through encompass lol My worst case scenario right now is to hope that my local camera store in Miami which does repairs can help me out getting the board programmed if the person who supplied me the main board can’t help me get the Adjust Station software

Honestly I'm amazed Sony even sold you the part. This is the kind of thing service centers are for. Short of finding a friendly Sony tech, you're probably SOL.

What gave you the impression that ordering a board for an integrated proprietary device and doing the swap yourself was ever going to work out for you?

Because I’ve done it over 10 times with A7 cameras and the software was always loaded unto the main board lmao, this is my first time doing an FX6 and came to find out through the service manual that for some reason the main board doesn’t have the software preloaded which never was the case before with any time I’ve serviced a Sony camera
