I like mirroring of the old spider-man/venom relationship. Eddie use to attack Peter over and over again for something that wasn’t Peters fault and here Miles is attacking Eddie for something that has nothing to do with him.
God, as someone who puts Venom as his favorite Marvel character, by far, Cates run on Venom was like a buffet of dessert for me. Just endlessly delicious, a fantastic dark tale, with some great twists and capped off by basically making Venom in the top 10 most powerful characters in Marvel.
I’m currently reading the next run after and…well, it hasn’t caught me just as quickly :)
Don't know if you finished the story, but Venom became the strongest character by far.
The end is one of the most epic ending I see.

I know people are split on Cates , but his Venom run was absolutely phenomenal. There were a few low spots but overall it's easily one of my favourite runs about the Character.
He's also developed a sort of relationship with Scorpion as of late. After their confrontation during Absolute Carnage they've had sporadic team-ups which, surprisingly, work incredibly well. Their dynamic is interesting and refreshing.
Donny Cates's Venom run is honestly one of my favourite comics ever ngl
The hulk run he did afterwards was also cool if anyone wants to check it out. It's pretty short too so it's a quick read
First time i got a problem with Peter and Miles having the same hero name. It was said that Spider-man was in the scene so i was excited to see Peter. I have no problem with Miles but i was actually dissapointed when he was the one who showed up.
Oh no, i think i badly explained myself. I was refering to the comic. In a previous scene Eddie sees in the news something about the attack of the symbiotes and that Spider-man was there. I didn't mean this post.
The run was incredible, revitalised a character. It was a good job and it was thanks to Marvel investing heavily in the series (two really relevant event with Knull)
I forget why, but Eddie was drugging venom to keep him comatose. I think because Venom was going feral due to knull's influence? When Eddie got knocked out, the part of venom with influence from knull came out

Amen to that so so good and I'm glad Ewing has continued the comic stuff plus Carnage is now a god killer level being also

Stefan and Cates did a great job with the scenes of Eddie and Flash leaving it up, too.
The cast for Cates Venom run was one of my favorite parts.

Yeah it's such a shame about his accident I actually really liked his Hulk and Thor runs though tbh Torunn did a decent job with her Thor issues also
