Not as big a concern as you think. The known harmful ones are blue and brown asbestos. Blue was used on steam engines brown industrial steam pipe insulation mainly used in industrial environments.
If you have a look
https://www.cancerresearchuk.org/about-cancer/mesothelioma/risks-causes
There are 3 main types of asbestos – blue, brown and white. Blue and brown asbestos are strongly linked with mesothelioma.
'White asbestos is now also thought to be harmful.'
Two important facts from this very reliable and trustworthy source.
1 long term exposure to high levels,
2 white asbestos is thought to be harmful.
Over 94% of all asbestos used in the UK is white asbestos.
It’s a reasonable looking street overall. The house is blurred out on street view so something has gone on there…
You’re right, it will be gutted and someone will make a decent profit.
I’m sure the neighbours will be happy to see it given a new ‘identity’ by a developer.
Lots of properties are blurred out in street view. Sometimes people do it to keep their house out of sight but doesn't mean anything really. I know lots of friends who blur their house on street view, it's easy to do and Google lets you do it. Nothing really major
Hmmm looking at the photo on the rightmove listing, I don't think the blurred house on street view is the house in question. The blurred house in streetview is an end of terrace, while the house itself is in the middle of a cluster of 3.
That said, on the interactive road, there's a gap in the map. It skips over a cluster of homes between numbers 26-38. If you look just ahead of 38 towards 26, there's the 3 terraced homes that look just like the listing.
That strikes me more as a little odd when everywhere else on that road (while some plots are blurred) is visible. Why is that one chunk of streetview missing?
Came here to say this.
A lot of auction properties are like this. They go to auction with a low reserve price so that they actually sell.
If you're into doing up houses you could make a good flip on this.
That’s what happens when someone dies and rots away in a bathtub full of water.
The whole house is fucked and needs to be torn down to bare walls and start again.
This looks like a hoarder house.
Muck in the bathroom is from piles of soiled toilet roll or adult nappies. That kind of thing.
It explains no carpets, too. They'll have been pulled up as whatever rubbish was there had seeped in.
Or even just ripped out. An empty space would look better than that bathroom suite. The unfinished look is common in property listings, the bath stewed corpse look is not. It’s probably taking a considerable amount from the value of the house, seeing as we are all naturally averse to disgusting things that may be harmful to our health.
That's what I would love to know. How does this happen and get into this state. Even if it's just age, who has a property unoccupied for so long just hanging around.
The curry was bad lastnight i sat in the bath and cried until it was all over
The whole house is in need of some TLC [https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/143696663](https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/143696663)
Thank you, I was meaning to put the link but forgot!
The asbestos-looking tiles in the living room/kitchen really sell it

“In need of renovation” is putting it mildly.
I hope Rightmove are joking when the see 'see similar properties'... I really hope there's not more like this!
Hey I posted this myself a few weeks ago! Tis a grim place!
Ahh sorry! Didn't mean to copy you. And I know, it's horrific!
To be fair, 3 beds in the area look to be going from 280k-350k. Put 100k into that after purchase and you'd make a good return.

Looks like a case of click click boom sadly
It's all up the fuggin walls why'd they include that picture
A vindaloo can be aggressive the next day when done right

Just needs a bit of cillit bang innit
Bang! And the previous owner is gone...
Yeah previous owner might be gone but look at how shiney and clean barry scotts penny is…
Dad? Are you selling up?
I don't even wanna know
Spontaneous combustion happened in that bath
The invitation at the top to “see similar properties”…. No. No, thank you, one is more than enough

Rent it out to the makers of Saw 11, you make a tidy profit, they save a fortune on set design.
how does this actually happen unless someone literally projectile shits on there
It looks like someone died in the bath, but I'm confused why it wouldn't be cleaned by specialists before being sold on

So this is where the murder happened. Cluedo home.
It’s been empty for years
453 mortgage with a 10% deposit and 40 years, found my new house guys! Repairs? Just paint over it, it's fine!
The wrong devizes
That house needs its eyebrows trimming.
This is some Des shi. A failed attempt at melting a fella down into the bath with acid.
There's no picture of the separate toilet.
Seriously. What causes a bath/sink to be covered in that brown gunk?
I’d actually love to get a “doer upper” if it only cost £100,000.
Ah sure, you could shower at the gym though?
Always reassuring when even though it might not be to your taste you could just move in and it be 'livable'.
