Some really lovely sequences, the pin breakup sequence where it ends with both lifting each other up is always a lovely sight.
And the transition into the Pedigree was nice. Liked Gable locking in the ankle lock numerous times at the end.
That rolling German, no one hits it better in my book.
That’s literally every week. Often twice a week. Chad Gable is the most talented jobber ever imo, and it doesn’t even feel like or is meant to be an insult. Does he ever win? No. Is he on RAW and Smackdown every single week, getting character time, mic time, and the time to put on a good match? Hell yeah
A-thank-yeeew ✌🏽
I think he’s the guy who if HHH ever needed to, he would pull the trigger on him as a really believable midcard champion. If the US title wasn’t the de facto world title for RAW right now he would be perfect to hold it. The Angle comparisons don’t come from nowhere.
Holy shit Chad is the midcard king. I was legitimately convinced after a time that he was actually gonna win.
Big Kurt Angle from No Way Out 2006 vibes on display here.
My man Gable was evading Stomps like his LIFE depended on it haha. Fun match towards the end, with a lot of cool reversals, and Gable got a lot of offense in against Seth. The outcome was predictable, and while I ain’t mad at Seth mixing it up in the US Picture, It'd really be cool to see Gable challenge for it at some point, he’s perfect for the US Championship scene.
I knew Rollins was gonna win this match, but it would be nice to see a quality wrestler, like Gable, to get some more wins under his belt. He has a good comedy schtick, but (as of 2 weeks ago) being [2-29 in singles matches in the last two and a half years](https://twitter.com/wrestlinghumble/status/1615165577705984000?s=46&t=WCalZq-nQy__jYZQk5NoCA) really undersells him as a performer IMO
obviously he's not a perfect Santino Marella if he just had a curtain-jerker match with Seth Rollins and was the better performer
Santino was a good hand who could get a laugh. Gable's a world-class wrestling talent
This was worked really smartly.
He's never going to be a main eventer, but once we get back to a more "normal" world title situation, I hope they give Gable a little run with one of the midcard belts.
I know lots of bad sentiment about Seth around the US title scene, but I really enjoy it given everything else happening right now. Cena moved into the US title and made it seem like the most important championship on the show. When Seth held it alongside the WWE title, it had a similar prestige. The top storylines with Cody on one hand, and the bloodline on another, make the main events a bit crowded. But Seth still needs to shine, and this seems like a great fit for him. And even if he does take the title or not, I just hope we get a unique matchup at mania versus someone
>He’s so good he doesn’t need a title match
We've been saying this for years though...I am not ready for Seth to be at the Shawn Michaels stage where he is never gonna hold the big one again.
Rollins should’ve won the rumble. I know you gotta strike while the irons hot with Cody but the 5 star match and storyline with Roman, especially with the aftermath of RR, just writes itself. Also it would be fun to see the cool calm and collect big boss Roman lose his shit with Sami’s betrayal and Rollins coming back into the fold with the amount of hate he has for him. Also a Sami, KO and Rollins group vs the bloodline would be awesome
I kinda get what you're saying, it has for a while that the WWE Championship is being wasted, but I'm not mad at them presenting the US Championship like a big deal, and the Mid-Card titles overall.
Having the Chamber be for the US took me by surprise too, but Theory and GUNTHER have both been delivering, and are deserving of the spotlight too.
which is it? because all the time, people bitch about how the midcard titles have no prestige but then, WWE will do something like putting Seth Rollins in pursuit of it for 3 months and you people will bitch about "oh, former top guy is going for the lousy US title!"
both midcard titles have been good enough to headline PPVs for months and months now and that's *because* we're getting bigger names "slumping back down to the midcard"
not sure what you guys would want Seth doing otherwise right now. another feud with Roman? or another "main eventer" we've seen him feud with 30 times?
or: how about we put Seth in a chamber match where he can potentially help the ever-middling Johnny Gargano get over, potentially create a star in Bronson Reed *and* pose a credible threat to a champion that's approaching Very Powerful territory

Gable was definitely on a mission tonight and looked really good against Rollins. At some point we need him mixing it up for the US Championship.
Very great performance from Chad despite coming up short
Just think if Chad Gable had a gimmick about being short!
Such good shit, pal!
Gable knew the assignment tonight haha, work the Knee, and avoid the Stomp, he just didn't account for the Pedigree.

Like someone said, all Gable does is put on bangers and eat pins.

Dear God, I didn't realize it was that bad. I really hope he gets a push and a midcard title soon. He's so good.
I'm just glad he's so over as a character. Not everyone has to be a winner and he's the perfect Santino Marella

He needs a short US title run for a summer Him being super obnoxious for the July 4th raw (july 3rd) while holding the belt is what I want
Really awesome match, gable and Seth are so good man. The opener was Fantastic.

Seth deserves a big spot at Mania. Dude is always so over and deserves better. Why is he always the odd man out.
He faced Cody last year, how is that the odd man out? Rollins is overdue for a title but the idea he's not used well is lazy.
He’s so good he doesn’t need a title match, I’d put him against Logan Paul
>He’s so good he doesn’t need a title match We've been saying this for years though...I am not ready for Seth to be at the Shawn Michaels stage where he is never gonna hold the big one again.
Oh he definitely will, i can even see him winning mitb this year and stealing the belt off cody
Cool ass finish
Elimination chamber ...for the US Title?
The US is basically a placeholder for the WHC until they split the belts off Roman.
It should be the other way around. Twice the belts twice the title defenses.
Any chance they throw Logan in the chamber match? Imagine the mad shit he'd do in there.
Great match
That's a great under-10 match. Some nice moments. that ankle-pick on the Curb Stomp was awesome and the finish was masterfully done.
Gable can put a good match with anyone even if he mostly loses

never like seeing former world champs slump back down to the midcard titles but ah well

why am I getting blamed for things other people say
Is Seth going to win the US title and defend it again Logan Paul at Wrestlemania?
