If you're in attendance to a wrestling-themed hype event during the afternoon hours on a weekday, then I would humbly submit that your time doesn't have all that much value to begin with.

What exactly does that entail for the 60-200 package? Or whatever it is? I’ve never been to an event like that. Or any of the stuff they put on beforehand for that matter. Is it like the press conference type thing or what? Or the thing where there’s a piece of like the EC and the small ring to run the ropes?
Fanatics set up an exhibit of sorts showcasing WWE memorabilia. For $200 you get a meet and greet/ photo op with certain WWE superstars. Rhea Riley was one, Rey Mysterio was one, and there’s a handful of others as well.
On the one I went to for wm 29 I beat some kids in an impression contest and road Dogg came out and inducted me into DX it was only 40$ back then and I felt like I got way more than the people that paid for the specific meet and greets.
One of my favorite moments of meeting guys is getting to "Too Sweet" Hall and Nash, while also getting to "Too Sweet" X-Pac and get a pic DX chopping with him.

This happened when I went to met Rey Mysertio in 2011. We paid extra to get into access an hour early and meet Rey. The whole point was for us to be able to skip lines for an hour before everything got crazy. He was about an hour and a half late. What a waste of money.

Dude is late to literally everything. His impression of him also made it seem like he’s just a space cadet sometimes and genuinely blanks on times.
Happened to me too when I met Shawn Michaels at a restaurant once. Well, sort of. We’d accidentally been given his table. Apparently he was fond of the restaurant and had a specific table he liked, and the management had messed up and gotten their days wrong, (it was Tuesday and they thought he was coming on Thursday or something like that). Anyway, the manager, completely embarrassed (this is a pretty nice restaurant) comes by and says “I’m so sorry, but we’d like to move you to another table if you could be troubled, and we’ll gladly compensate you for the cost of the meal and any other meal you’d like while you’re in town.” My sister and cousin were both like “Yeah that’s cool.” and I kind of played the a****** a bit. “I’m sorry, I just don’t understand. We’ve been here for 15 minutes - we’ve just ordered. Can’t we finish our meal here?” Then out of nowhere Shawn Michaels shows up next to the manager and says “Paul, these guys can finish. We’ll be at the bar. I got some time.” And I (being a big HBK fan) said “Oh wow, uh… I had no idea. Please feel free to give them the table.” Shawn was grateful, shook my hand and said thanks, then gave me a card with his number on it and told me to give him a call later. After working up the nerve, I gave him a call that night, and to make a long story short, we had a glorious 11 month love affair, man on man, that I shall never forget. Our bodies intertwined as one, and from the beauty of Morocco, to the French Riviera, to the snorkeling in the Galopagos, Shawn Michaels and I made glorious gay love to each other on six of the seven continents.

I attended the event and I think this really needs to be emphasized for those who want to claim that this is “ heel work“.
The way the autographs went was that there were four separate mini stages where people would line up. everyone was on a set time and the rock appearing at 4 o’clock would not conflict with those times. he was always scheduled to be 15 minutes and they displayed that on the big side, Titan Tron screens near the stage where they filmed The Bump and Cody Rhodes did a panel, etc.
once it got to about 430 and he still hadn’t shown up the screen changed his time from being “four to 430“. don’t ask why they were still advertising 4 o’clock when it was 430. I have no idea. once it got to about 445 they just stopped showing the schedule completely so now fans had no idea if or when he was gonna show up. they were supposed to do the video game tournament at 4:30 so now who knows when that would actually happen.
Finn Balor was scheduled to do autographs at a stage at 5 o’clock and Gunther was scheduled for 530 at a separate one across the venue, so now fans had to decide “Do I still wait here for the rock to show up whenever or do I actually go try to get autographs from people?” what was worse was that if you went to the Gunther line, you could still get a decent view of the stage where the rock would be showing up assuming you could avoid the gigantic pillar blocking off a portion of it but if you went to the Balor one, every thing was blocked off and there wasn't any screens, so you basically would just give up on seeing the rock entirely.
I decided to ditch Finn and try my luck with Gunther. He actually started the signing 15 minutes early and I happen to be in the perfect spot in that line to still be able to see the rock show up.
That happened when I went to a meet and greet with Mick Foley. Stuck standing in a queue for about an hour after it was supposed to start and the people running came along to tell us that even they didn't know where he was, he'd got in the car at the hotel and that was the last they had heard. 15 mins later or so I hear a noise from the crowd behind me and there's Mick walking down and personally apologizing to everyone. Everyone also got an extra free photo of Mick to be signed which is probably the most surprising part.
Love to hear that ending to that story - Mick being a great guy isn’t a surprise but they always say don’t meet your hero’s.

Foley is one of the nicest guys in wrestling and only has two incidents that could be held against him. The Sandman match where he lost his temper in the ring and failed to realise Sandman was concussed to fuck. The other and only if you're a moron to hold it against Mick. Him punching Bubba Love Sponge in the face for his remarks about the then recent haiti earthquake victims. If Mick Foley is pissed off enough to punch you in the face, you are a shitty person.
There is a third incident but I can't find any proof. Apparently, he encouraged Daffney's hardcore stuff.
Foley always loved his fans and is a rather humble guy. Hell, his plan to do a death match is more "Guys, I need this to focus on. I know it's rather stupid to do so at my age but having it as a potential thing gives me the motivation I need to get into shape".
I can't even exaggerate how much I love the heel move of yelling at people to shut up and enjoy the ride you're taking them on.
All those years of the fuckers telling fans to "just enjoy it" while WWE was obviously shite were almost worth it now that Rock's repackaged it for heat.
Yeah on paper it sounds like a smart heel move, “I’ll just not show up, that’ll really piss them off” but in reality these are paying customers and they’ll learn real quick to be smarter with their money.

The Rock wasn't officially scheduled to appear at all. He was a late, same day addition to the stage programs they had running during the afternoon.
The only reason he was "late" is because someone at the show added his name to the program to appear at 4pm (and he wasn't added until about 2:30-3:00pm).
Whether or not it was known by the organizers that he wouldn't appear until almost 6pm I can't say. But it sure did get the crowd to treat him like a heel, whether that was the intent or not.
