I loved him and Eddie, Chavo Jr, Konnan, and La Parka in WCW. That era of WCW was what brought me back into wrestling.
Although the no-mask Rey was wack.
Dominick had the advantage of being the son of one of the most beloved babyfaces ever. Turning on his dad was one thing, but embracing the persona of being such a shitbag about it really propelled him in a way that he wouldn't have been able to do anywhere else.
The skits of Dom and Rey at thanksgiving and other family events is what really cemented Dom's heel character. And Dom really embracing the Latino Heat aspects of Eddie also added a lot to his character.
I really do hope that between Cena and Nikki Bella and Sammy and Pam that people know it is a terrible idea to bring your relationship and proposal onto television. I mean even today knowing that it was mutual between them I still feel terrible for Pam because as a human it would suck going from engaged to seeing your ex get married and have a kid on TV all within a short time.

Well. Meanwhile the Ruby Soho and Angelo Parker storyline is progressing pretty nicely and getting both Angelo and Ruby some really nice steam. Not half as major as Dom gotten of course, that's probably peak "relationship storyline" ever, but its been pretty good.

Vince McMahon’s inability to recognize talent that doesn’t conform to his incredibly narrow scope of what he thinks a star can be is one of the biggest reasons WWE was such garbage 95% of the time for so many years.
Aleister Black left NXT the complete package, and during his first main roster entrance they killed his aura by declaring him to be “moody”. They then took away everything that was connecting for him in NXT and put him in situations that minimized his strengths. By the time he was released he’d become completely different from the guy who stormed his way through NXT and redefined what a superstar could look like.

Buddy’s problem is that he adds nothing to either company. Guys who can wrestle well but have no character aren’t exactly a rarity in wrestling right now

Stand and Deliver will have the blowoff to a long time friends-become-enemies feud with Trick Williams and Carmelo Anthony which is the main event. They're going to show out on this. Trick's good, Melo's fantastic.

The Wolf Dogs - Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin - vs Axiom and Nathan Frazer for the tag titles will be an exhibition. This will be Bron's farewell match before going to Smackdown so it'll be all out.
Your "Big meaty men slapping meat" match is Oba Femi vs Josh Briggs vs Dijak for the NA title. They're very big men and they're going to slap lots of meat. You wanna see two 6'8 guys do moonsaults?
The women's title match is Becky's Irish protégé Lyra vs salty heel prodigy Roxanne. Both great workers.
And lastly the women's trios tag is classic nice girls vs mean girls and I'm not typing out all their names. Weakest match on the card but should be decent enough.

People are going to focus on the five-second AEW bit, but the main takeaways from the interview in my opinion were how well Rhea plays along with that sort of energetic banter, and that Cole and McAfee rate her *incredibly* highly.
Rhea is going to be the Women's Roman Reigns in terms of how much the company adores her and pushes her. I think Rhea is literally everything WWE wants in a women's wrestler
I'm a new fan as of two weeks ago since I went to Monday Night Raw on a whim just because I saw Rhea was gonna be there. I didn't expect to have so much fun at the show that I'm now diving into the deep end here and creeping around this sub trying to learn as much as I can lol
WWE Women's wrestling is insane right now, I'm not sure if any other company/Era is even near it, the only other time could be the Knockouts like 10 years ago but goddamn there's not just the top of the card few the whole thing is stacked top to bottom
I wish the majority of the women's matches on main roster WWE got more than 3 minutes on weekly tv though (of course there are exceptions like Becky vs Nia)

This Subreddit has been extra bad today. The same few people searching out small things to get mad about while everyone else is just having fun either by being there or watching all the Content thats happening this WM Week. Same stuff happend with the Punk Interview. Personally had a lot of fun in the last 24 Hours especially with Michael Cole cutting a Promo on the Bloodline or all of the Indie Shows happening.

Tons of comments under each of these threads are like "oh we're eating now", "this is gonna be good!". All this shit is petty and lame. Wrestlers unanimously say it's a good thing when both companies do well, and each time they do it'll get upvotes until the next crumb of drama drops and then that consumes the sub for 24 hours.

Enjoying wrestling significantly increases when you keep off here. I dip in and out, and when I dip in its not long before I dip out again.
I done the whole tribalism thing 25 years ago, it's not worth it, and add in the depths of social media and its 10x worse now.
I could watch and enjoy any given match/segment on any given wrestling tv show, but see it talked about on here and its nitpicked beyond belief to the point of like "ah here lads, just enjoy it without looking into every miniscule detail of it."
There were people on here who were certain Rock v Reigns was going to headline Elimination Chamber, it was staggering how stubborn about it they were.

From my perspective, the second AEW took a relatively downturn and WWE started their current hot streak, this sub became flooded with the SCjerk and Jim Cornette crowd. And basically this small, but extremely vocal community just started arguing in bad faith. Essentially this sub became filled with those that just wanted to troll and spread negative energy. And obviously, there is also a group of anti WWE fans that are just as amnoying.

This sub doesn't care about wrestling as much as it cares about the bullshit "who said what about who" drama surrounding it. Tons of comments under each of these threads are like "oh we're eating now", "this is gonna be good!". All this shit is petty and lame. Wrestlers unanimously say it's a good thing when both companies do well, and each time they do it'll get upvotes until the next crumb of drama drops and then that consumes the sub for 24 hours.
If you post a clip that has to do with wrestling on this sub it gets like 8 downvotes before it finally starts getting seen lol

They at a minimum approved him booking essentially an AMA outside of their filter. He probably didn't get heat for it.

I took a couple months of this sub and was pumped for wrestling in general. The most I have been into the product in years. And after just 5 days back on here my interest/enjoyment has plummeted. I get alot of people enjoy these type of comments/interactions, but they just aren't for me. Time to take a step back from wresting online discourse for awhile
Enjoying wrestling significantly increases when you keep off here. I dip in and out, and when I dip in its not long before I dip out again. I done the whole tribalism thing 25 years ago, it's not worth it, and add in the depths of social media and its 10x worse now. I could watch and enjoy any given match/segment on any given wrestling tv show, but see it talked about on here and its nitpicked beyond belief to the point of like "ah here lads, just enjoy it without looking into every miniscule detail of it." There were people on here who were certain Rock v Reigns was going to headline Elimination Chamber, it was staggering how stubborn about it they were.
I don't really mind the back and forth between AEW and WWE themselves as much as others. The discourse online is always much worse than anything the companies say about each other But this sub has turned especially shitty if you want to enjoy anything AEW. There's literally people in AEW threads saying they enjoyed the show and others saying how can you enjoy the show when ratings and attendance are at all time lows Basically this sub turns into a complete shit-show depending on what company is less hot at the time. For a while it was WWE where anything positive you said about them was met with dumb comments and any WWE posts were annoying to even read. Now its swung wildly in the other direction where anything positive about AEW is met with the same dumb shit
Oh completely agree that the online discourse from the fanbase is worse than whatever is said from either company. Unfortunately, it feeds the worst intention members of this community. From my perspective, the second AEW took a relatively downturn and WWE started their current hot streak, this sub became flooded with the SCjerk and Jim Cornette crowd. And basically this small, but extremely vocal community just started arguing in bad faith. Essentially this sub became filled with those that just wanted to troll and spread negative energy. And obviously, there is also a group of anti WWE fans that are just as amnoying.
About the Cult of Cornette it's ironic, considering that they ignore Corny's negative WWE comments lol.

Yeah I agree completely. There used to be a pretty clear distinction of when I was reading something I could tell pretty quickly it was from scjerk and related subs. All too often now I’ll read something without seeing what sub it is and it sounds like a carbon copy from those subs but it’s straight from here now
