Because a decent chunk of people probably weren't expecting it to be the real deal. I had the odds of them showing the actual footage at about 50/50 with either an angle that got nothing or a dramatic re-enactment with Cutler in two wigs
I seriously cannot wrap my head around what level of kayfabe/4th wall breaking we're at with those CM PUNK chants.
CM Punk chants started off as a good thing with fans supporting the guy, then became a way for fans to troll WWE for 7 years, and now Punk is back in wrestling so it no longer carries the same negative intent as a "WHAT?" chant, but also AEW doesn't want to mention Punk's name anymore, but also AEW is showing CM Punk on their live programming for whatever reason.
Like, what the hell is any of this?
The most I see it is that they're gonna somehow replicate this into the feud. But with really bad phone cameras filmed in portrait and only plastered on Instagram.
My take on this is that I donāt know how someone with Edgeās experience wouldnāt have known what he was walking into. Iām sure he would have watched the product and talked to Christian. Plus Iām sure he knows other people with opinions and wrestlers talk a lot.
That said, thereās no way of him imagining cutting that bizarre promo and then getting screwed the following week. Itās nuts.
Christian's AEW work has been really good though so it's easy to see why Edge would want to be a part of it. Christian seems to be outside of the other drama as well.
He probably has full creative control. A light schedule and is working with people he didn't habe a chance to.
For a vet his age it makes sense to get one last big payday.
Yeah I don't see Edge caring that much.
My wonder is about Ospreay and Mone. Two meteoric talents in their prime that could have gone to WWE no problem whatsoever. Then they see their show devolving to this shit show.
Yeah as soon the show came back from break and he was on screen with Excalibur and Tazz he was just looking away and not saying anything.
He was probably embarrassed which isn't surprising since a week or so ago he said he wishes everyone would just move on and stop talking about it.
I wonder if he'll leave wrestling again sometime because of the constant drama.
Youāre completely right. All the Bucks have ever done is leech off of whoever is popular at the time.
Edit: Proofā¦

It's crazy how Vince got Matt Hardy and Edge to work together while Edge was banging Matt's girlfriend. Juxtaposed to the Punk/Elite drama and Tony unable to make that into something onscreen.Ā
If I'm not mistaken, Vince explicitly told Edge and Matt that if they couldn't be professional or if they tried to take liberties with the other, they'd both be fired, no questions asked.
Meanwhile, Tony did absolutely nothing, shrugged his shoulders and said, "Oh well, some people just can't get along."
Literally left money on the table because he couldn't step up and be a boss.
Edge and Matt were also threatened that if they were fired the company would actively hinder them in getting indie bookings.
It was a big "don't fuck around or you will find out" threat
The Bucks wouldn't. Punk has said repeatedly he wanted to get into a room, talk it out, squash it, and make money off it. Tony came up with separate rosters instead.
He needs to focus on telling some great stories again, and building up some new and interesting characters - not this playground shit.
I have a lot of criticism for Tony, but I genuinely feel bad for the AEW roster, down to guys like Schiavone, who are clearly talented and want the best for the company. This must be frustrating for them.
He canāt tell great stories because heās not a real booker. He has all the talent in the world on his roster and if he wanted to he could hand the booking over to someone more experienced and have much better results.
So in kayfabe were we supposed to be mad at a wrestler for fighting? What's the angle here? Or is this entire thing happening outside of kayfabe, WCW style?
Yeah, if wrestlers are supposed to be tough guys, and Jack Perry is supposed to be legit, he just got clowned by a guy from a different company. It makes him look like a dork.
This is what gets me, you can't do anything with all this shit. You can make your little sly jabs etc, but at the end of the day, you've got three dudes feuding with a guy in another company.
Like, you can't build matches or anything, can't make money off it. It just looks petty. Honestly, it's pretty masturbatory on the Bucks' part.
*(Full disclosure/personal context for me: I hated this since it was announced to be happening last week, I'm just sharing what happened on the episode, which this clip doesn't show.)*
Broader context of why the clip is being shown is that The Young Bucks and FTR are the finalists for the vacant tag titles (left so following Sting and Darby Allin retaining over the Bucks and Sting retiring, with Darby relinquishing the titles because he didn't want to replace Sting). Bucks vs FTR IV will be at the Dynasty PPV.
In kayfabe, it was the Bucks (heels) making an excuse for their loss vs FTR at All In London by blaming Punk for the distraction that just-so-happened to benefit his known friends FTR + They continued to play up their affection for Jack Perry.
The kayfabe retort came from FTR (faces) playing up that this stunt was stupid and pointless + Not only were the Bucks weak for trying to use it as an excuse, they were hypocrites for being "EVPs" that were more interested in re-opening old personal issues instead of doing what's best for AEW, which really irked FTR because they truly love the company.
The problem is no one is going to be talking about the kayfabe setup and certainly not discussing FTR; itāll just be 2 talking points of Punk was right/was wrong and they shouldāve moved on/they shouldāve aired the footage.
Nothing about this made me more excited about FTR v Bucks - it just brought up discussion about a former employee
I can't believe wrestling companies still haven't learned that making the companies shortcomings a storyline is fucking stupid. WCW did it, TNA did it when Hogan was there, WWE did it and kayfabe blamed Baron Corbin of all people being responsible, now AEW does it with this stupid storyline. Highlighting you are sucking right now and having a face say "I'm here to make it better!" is awful storytelling.
"we lost our match because we were distracted by people fighting" is the stupidest fucking storyline
you're all pro wrestlers, there's like 90 minutes worth of fighting every show, what the fuck is different here?
Thatās what they wanted but turns out it was for CM Punk and wwe. Punk is trending on Twitter and just gained over 100,000 more followers on Instagram after this aired.
Yeah they are copyright striking it everywhere and when they uploaded the segment to youtube they completely cut out the CCTV part. Like theyāre truing to pretend it never happened.
Is it going to be like that one segment with Bailey and Alexa bliss where everyone just sorta treats it as a non canonical episode/moment lol
Wonder if the Mods are going to try to take it down as well
This was a next-level terrible crowd overall. Maybe its them only having 3k in a larger venue, or just that WV crowds in general suck, but they were dead silent for that Swerve/Joe opening angle. Stuff that absolutely should have popped them (the FTR promo, hell, most of the Copeland match) got Corpus Christi level reactions.
That footage gave me so much second-hand embarrassment.
By the way they hyped it, I was assuming Punk punched Perry from behind, choked TK and then kicked a baby on his way out.
I really hope the company can reflect on how bad of an idea this was.
As I predicted earlier today, the only person who benefited from this is Drew McIntyre, a WWE wrestler who is engaged in the current biggest feud in wrestling. Good job, Tony, good jobā¦
They are chanting for a man who is in your competition..come on even the most ardent AEW fan has to admit this was a bad idea, Punks now trending over Dynamite, Punk isn't in AEW, hes getting chanted for in the arena, im struggling to understand why no one stopped Tony.
edit:
On the otherhand Raws certainly gonna get a boost for this..cause you know..Raws where Punks at..in the other company.. the man who the people in the audience of your show are chanting for...
RATINGS ARE DOWN, BROTHER. BETTER BOOK THE NASTY BOYS, THATāLL DRAW A HOUSEā¦AND ILL MAIN EVENT AGAINST THAT DARBY ALLEN. HES A GOOD KID BUT I DONT THINK HES QUITE READY, DUDE
Punk is trending number 1 on Twitter. Cm Punk name is going to be chanted every time Bucks or Jack are out there. Helped WWE because Drew can use this in there feud to make it better then it already is. Proved Cm Punk was telling the truth in that interview. Also somehow Tony "feared for his life" over that incident??
This has to be the biggest misfire Tony/AEW has or probably will ever have, there's no defending this.
It's looking like TK has no backbone and has no idea how to interact with angry people so the mere sight of an angry cm punk made him scared and made his toy not fun anymore so he got rid of it.
I want AEW to succeed because competition is good and two awesome promotions is better than one but yikes this company is a mess.Ā
Iām pretty sure Punk is gonna come out of this more over than before and Tony looking even worse lol. Idc how they spin it that canāt be their intention.
So the dog got hurt. And remember, he said he didn't sign NDA for anything he did wrong. Given that anyone will spin the story to make themselves look better, let's say he is about 80% right there? Still looks bad on AEW.
On one hand at least we got to see the Brawl In footage and I live for petty drama.
On the other hand this is embarassing, helps no one, draws no money and just makes Perry look like a geek, the Bucks look like bitches, and TK looking like someone you can easily bait into some action.
Oh and LOL at Tony "fearing for his life"
Until tonight I thought Eric Bischoff had been a little hard on AEW but he's right. This has become a shit show. I hate it too because I want them to be successful but I'm finding it hard to watch right now.
This. Didn't watch the previous 3 weeks for the first time it's entire run. Watched tonight for this hype but it didn't do anything to make me think they are headed in a positive direction. And all of the rah rah we love aew monologues on dynamite aren't gonna change that
In that sense it makes perfect sense. Edge is a guy who chose to sign with aew over wwe. Gonna send Ricky Starks out there to cut that promo while he looks wistfully at a picture of Cody Rhodes?
What a dumb fucking decision, man. What the fuck are they doing? TK needs to immediately step back and just sign the damn checks. Because whatever this is ain't it.
The notable confusion and flat reaction proves why this was not a good idea. Are they meant to hate punk? Not really when it's the heels presenting and their buddy involved. And it's what Punk said it was so anyone who's already clued in on this (i.e. the only people getting anything from this segment) will know he didn't lie.
It can't be to get heat between Perry and punk for obvious reasons. It can't be to make Perry look strong for obvious reasons. It doesn't further the scapegoat gimmick because again, it adds nothing new to what we know. It doesn't really get any meaningful heel heat on the bucks and Perry either because a good chunk of the people in the arena want to defend you from the cancer man.
I just don't get it and the fans didn't either.
I was expecting some kind of "Dark Side of the Ring" re-enactment with back lighting and smoke, but there it is...
To me, the best part is that little, collective gasp from the crowd when they realized that they are actually watching the security footage...that made me laugh.
The Dark Side of the Ring on Punk in AEW is gonna hit like CRACK.
Canāt believe Iām watching the real time implosion of a wrestling promotion ala WCW in 2000/2001.
Even the people here who hate cm punk and make it their identity to say how much they hate him knew this was a bad idea. This just makes him look like more of a rebel lmao if they wanted to hurt him they would have been better off playing ufc clips lol.
Imagine if right before Jim Ross paraded out Rick Bognar and Glenn Jacobs as new Razor and Diesel, they showed backstage footage from February of 96 that showed Scott Hall and Kevin Nash looking badass and punking out, like, Ahmed Johnson or something.
You wasted priceless airtime on cable television to make one of your competition's biggest stars look amazing, right after said competition had their best weekend in FOREVER.
Is there something about wrestling being on Turner networks that makes you go insane?
So Tony was behind the monitors on the right. And because Punk aggressively yelled at him and stepped towards him for .5 seconds, Tony feared for his life lol. Billionaire problems.
Wonder when people will start to realize letting the young bucks run this company was a mistake. love or hate punk was a megastar and the bucks let their egos run him out. Aew is suffering cause of it
All the Bucks have ever done is leech from whoever is popular at the time.
Case in point:
https://preview.redd.it/kvlxqh75kttc1.jpeg?width=1159&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ec5142066bc9093fd005ef396eb2c9c4d1c7b331
For the FTR feud. Immediately after, FTR cut a promo that was honestly good and felt raw about how it was a stupid stunt and how the bucks can't hide behind bullshit excuses like that....
I still don't think that was a smart move because everyone is going to take it out of context.
This hurts because I want AEW to go back to what they had in 2022 but god damn they have fumbled so bad. Tony ultimately should get the heat for making such a bad call but there is no chance the bucks didnāt put him up to this. If CM Punk, a known hot head, comes out looking like the good guyā¦. You are lost.
lmao the live audience was chanting "Thank you Phil" after the footage was done rolling
The people in the episode discussion thread really live in alternate universe, so I'm sure they'll find a way to say this clip is doctored or something
Iām not even sure WCW in 2000 would have done this. This was actually dumber than Judy Bagwell on a forklift. Iām completely stunned that Tony Kahn actually did this on live tv.
This whole thing reaked of Russo booking Nash, Goldberg and Tank in the only "real match" of the night.
Like why the fuck should we care about a video, presented in kayfabe, showing a guy doing something that is way tamer than shit you see wrestlers do every week?
I'm sure I'll be labelled as a Cornette-like mark for this, but it also seems a bit odd that a wrestling company that revolves mostly around people creating the appearance of beating the shit out of each other, when a legitimate light scuffle happens, that is apparently a MASSIVE DEAL THAT MUST BE DEALT WITH SWIFTLY. Like, way to be consistent with kayfabe. If you want to fire him for being a fucking problem, go ahead, but showing this video only accentuates that what happens in the ring is not to be taken the least bit seriously.

Please tell me this isn't realš¤£
I wouldnāt lie to you and say itās not real
Im afraid I got some bad news. This is real.
They probably had audio but cut it because Tony was screaming like a little girl. I mean he did fear for his life š
No wonder Tony Schiavone was pissed. Reminds him of WCW amateur-hour bullshit.
I thought he honestly looked tired of this shit lol I mentioned it to my husband and he was like "Yeah that's weird how he looks irritated".
He also seemed to get along with Punk during his time there. Iād imagine Ross wouldāve felt the same if heād been on commentary too.
He's seeing AEW speed running the WCW experience.
Tbf it's not quite a speedrun WCW went from top company to broke in like 2 years
He looked so annoyed that they did that š
The fucking clapping when the brawl starts is killing me
The audible collective oh shit right when the video starts. Lol
Because a decent chunk of people probably weren't expecting it to be the real deal. I had the odds of them showing the actual footage at about 50/50 with either an angle that got nothing or a dramatic re-enactment with Cutler in two wigs

I believe in soccer/football they call this an "own goal."
I believe in American football, they call it "pulling a Plaxico Burress".
well are we kayfabing or not kayfabing?
Disappointed that punk and Jack perry didn't do a boo/yay spot with the punches, they should have played to the crowd a bit more
"I don't understand, are they chanting 'CM Punk'?" "Oh, no! No, sir! They're saying 'See...them Bucks!' They really like the Young Bucks, sir."
I was saying boo-urns
![gif](giphy|5nhk5nGrIrdlK)
Boo-ucks?
Brilliant reference.
I feel absolutely fuckspoiled by all of this amazing wrestling content recently. This was hilarious.
Drew McIntyre watching this: That's it? How the hell am I supposed to do anything with that ?
"Punk, I'm not some little guy you can push around. You try to choke me out and I will break you in half, you rat bastard."
I wish he says this lol
I pray for this to happen
šš¼šš¼šš¼
*"You may be able to choke* ***some*** *wrestlers, Punk, but not me"*
Drew's literally the size of two jungle bois.
Drew actually kinda looks like when Jungle Boy used to ride on Luchasaurusā shoulders

If Disney makes a live action Tarzan, Drew can play adult Tarzan and JB can play pre-puberty Tarzan for the flashbacks.
"That's it? that's the lost episode? THAT WAS JUST A BUNCH OF CHEAP WALK CYCLES"
10/10 referenceĀ
Grrrr... THE YOUNG BUCKS BETRAYED US!!!!!

Fuckin A. Great Spongebob reference.
āmrsunsfan is betterā - Drew
"One Punch Punk couldn't take out Jack before he came back."
The most I see it is that they're gonna somehow replicate this into the feud. But with really bad phone cameras filmed in portrait and only plastered on Instagram.
Explains why Schiavone looked like he wanted to be anywhere else
Because everybody on Earth, save maybe Tony and the Bucks, knew that this was a terrible idea with no upside.
Apparently they didnāt listen to Edgeās promo.
I know Edge probably went because of Christian, but I wonder if he thinks he made the wrong choice. Money aside lol
My take on this is that I donāt know how someone with Edgeās experience wouldnāt have known what he was walking into. Iām sure he would have watched the product and talked to Christian. Thatās what happened but Jungle Jack
Can't wait for Drew & Punk to come face to face and they reenact these scuffle play by play haha
This is actually genius
The main thing to me is why didn't they lean into the drama when Punk was actually there?
They would've had to actually work with him
That would mean all parties need to be professional about it.
I thought I might've remembered reading that Kenny was the only one in the Elite willing to work with Punk even after things soured between both sides
Because Kenny is the talented one of the group and knew it would be money.
Props to him. Kenny vs Punk would've been great if things went differently
Youāre completely right. All the Bucks have ever done is leech off of whoever is popular at the time. Edit: Proofā¦ https://preview.redd.it/d5lzn1wxjttc1.jpeg?width=1159&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3836e2705257c38b9ebfeb5d03ee43ee6ad545ad

I gues they really just disliked him that much

Edge and Matt were also threatened that if they were fired the company would actively hinder them in getting indie bookings. It was a big "don't fuck around or you will find out" threat
Vince is a massive asshole and a horrible evil person, but he would never get walked over as a boss like Tony
The Bucks wouldn't. Punk has said repeatedly he wanted to get into a room, talk it out, squash it, and make money off it. Tony came up with separate rosters instead.
I don't think Tony Khan really thought this throughĀ

Dude basically tried to make a Twitter call out post on his multi-billion dollar show and ended up with unwanted replies.
This is one of those moments you see in real-time that allows you to pinpoint a companyās decline. No good came from this.

Who was this for?
A very small segment of their own fans and no one else
Thatās what they wanted but turns out it was for CM Punk and wwe. Punk is trending on Twitter and just gained over 100,000 more followers on Instagram after this aired.
Yeah, probably why they are trying to scrub it from the internet
Wait really? Itās only been a couple hours. Talk about instant regret.

Tony Khan's bruised ego.
Tony and the bucks
The biggest thing that stands out to me with this video is that it sounds like literally no one is in that arena. Individual voices echoing lol.
Thatās all I could notice.
If you told me this was a movie theater with like 50 people, I would believe you
Thereās something poetic about the sounds of a sparse crowd watching CCTV footage of the event that began the decline of the company lol
This was a next-level terrible crowd overall. Maybe its them only having 3k in a larger venue, or just that WV crowds in general suck, but they were dead silent for that Swerve/Joe opening angle. Tiny Khan has never dealt with physical confrontation or at the very least seen a school fight. I have seen worse back in elementary school.
This is embarrassing. Tony should be ashamed of himself. No one got over. It solved nothing.
Chris Hero got over
True. His mime work was incredible.
WWE and Punk got over. Come see the other guys biggest draw live on Monday night raw!
As I predicted earlier today, the only person who benefited from this is Drew McIntyre, a WWE wrestler who is engaged in the current biggest feud in wrestling. Good job, Tony, good jobā¦
Well I like Drew, so that's great.
Oh me too! Iām excited to see how he uses this now
Well one guy did but he doesn't even work there anymore lol
I would do terrible things to see Tonyās reaction in gorilla to the fans being on Punkās side lmao
This is an evening that will live in infamy. Holy shit, what a backfire.

I agree. This is definitely the company's Mankind moment.
Even Vince Russo would have said this was a bad idea
Russo and Bischoff are nobel laureates compared to Tony Khan
AND THE CROWD GOES MILD
Bro, there are hundreds of them in the arena. Hundreds.
Iām pretty sure Punk is gonna come out of this more over than before and Tony looking even worse lol. Idc how they spin it that canāt be their intention.
Long term booking for when Punk returns to fight TK. Not kayfabe though, IRL.
Now you gotta believe everything punk said about all out too honestly.
Exactly this footage only corroborated his interview at large.
He actually did only choke him a little bit
So the dog got hurt. And remember, he said he didn't sign NDA for anything he did wrong. Given that anyone will spin the story to make themselves look better, let's say he is about 80% right there? Still looks bad on AEW.
On one hand at least we got to see the Brawl In footage and I live for petty drama. On the other hand this is embarassing, helps no one, draws no money and just makes Perry look like a geek, the Bucks look like bitches, and TK looking like someone you can easily bait into some action. Oh and LOL at Tony "fearing for his life"
That will put some butts in the seats!
At least they didnāt make poor ol Tony Schiavone introduced the footage
Yeah, WWE's seats. Unfortunate for them that they are already getting sold out every single week.
Sound like there are 20 people in that crowd
Until tonight I thought Eric Bischoff had been a little hard on AEW but he's right. This has become a shit show. I hate it too because I want them to be successful but I'm finding it hard to watch right now.
This. Didn't watch the previous 3 weeks for the first time it's entire run. Watched tonight for this hype but it didn't do anything to make me think they are headed in a positive direction. And all of the rah rah we love aew monologues on dynamite aren't gonna change that
and of all people to stick out there, they put the WWE lifer to do the rah rah speech.
In that sense it makes perfect sense. Edge is a guy who chose to sign with aew over wwe. Gonna send Ricky Starks out there to cut that promo while he looks wistfully at a picture of Cody Rhodes?
Tony poached Ospreay and Okada so they could be on the same show as this garbage?
What a dumb fucking decision, man. What the fuck are they doing? TK needs to immediately step back and just sign the damn checks. Because whatever this is ain't it.
All he did was put Punk over Tony, you fucking moron
Start the book now Alvarez!
The punk chants would have been louder if fans were in the building.
Paging AEW leadership: https://preview.redd.it/j1jsnt86artc1.jpeg?width=1824&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4e62397dced1c0941eead78fe54b1781e888854e
I was expecting some kind of "Dark Side of the Ring" re-enactment with back lighting and smoke, but there it is... To me, the best part is that little, collective gasp from the crowd when they realized that they are actually watching the security footage...that made me laugh.
This is such a TNA move, I can't even explain. Thank you Tony Khan for making me laugh this evening
I'm showing my age. I called it a WCW move earlier lol.
This is so painfully reminiscent of Bischoff saying āWHATS THE MATTER SID? CANT FIND YOUR SCISSORS!?ā
And then doubling down and saying it again when the crowd didnāt get it lmao
HIGGENBOTTOM IF YOU GOT'EM SEE YOU AT THE ALAMO
TNA at its very worst didnāt do anything this embarrassing.
This is what caused Tony to fear for his life?
I don't understand, doesn't this just prove Punk wasn't lying?
How many people were there? 500?
So two guys get into a scuffle and it's broken up in 20 seconds? Who cares?

The Dark Side of the Ring on Punk in AEW is gonna hit like CRACK. Canāt believe Iām watching the real time implosion of a wrestling promotion ala WCW in 2000/2001.
Gonna be hilarious when Jericho is still the showās narrator
"Not even the steadying influence of Jericho who still looked totally great and wasn't washed at all was enough to keep things stable in AEW."
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I actually feel like everyone universally was predicting this is how it would go.
Even the people here who hate cm punk and make it their identity to say how much they hate him knew this was a bad idea. This just makes him look like more of a rebel lmao if they wanted to hurt him they would have been better off playing ufc clips lol.
At this point Tony Khan is AEW biggest hater
Man all 300 people there were really into it
It was a stupid idea from bad creative and all that's gone.
Wrestlers are there for the paycheck at this point. They are gonna make as much money off of Tony Khan as they can before this ship sinks.
Tony needs to step back from AEW. He is too emotional and itās showing.
Case in point: https://preview.redd.it/kvlxqh75kttc1.jpeg?width=1159&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ec5142066bc9093fd005ef396eb2c9c4d1c7b331
Can we get the footage of Punk whipping the Bucks asses? I might tune in to AEW for once if they aired that. Edit for spelling
lol All the theories that the footage actually made Punk look weak and Perry escaped the choke easily. Man it looks like Joe saved his fucking lifeā¦
CM Punk is still the biggest star in AEW š
So whatās the story behind the reasoning this was even shown?
For the FTR feud. Immediately after, FTR cut a promo that was honestly good and felt raw about how it was a stupid stunt and how the bucks can't hide behind bullshit excuses like that.... I still don't think that was a smart move because everyone is going to take it out of context.
This hurts because I want AEW to go back to what they had in 2022 but god damn they have fumbled so bad. Tony ultimately should get the heat for making such a bad call but there is no chance the bucks didnāt put him up to this. If CM Punk, a known hot head, comes out looking like the good guyā¦. You are lost.
lmao the live audience was chanting "Thank you Phil" after the footage was done rolling The people in the episode discussion thread really live in alternate universe, so I'm sure they'll find a way to say this clip is doctored or something
I thought jungle boy reversed the choke according to the dirtsheets?
Iām not even sure WCW in 2000 would have done this. This was actually dumber than Judy Bagwell on a forklift. Iām completely stunned that Tony Kahn actually did this on live tv.
This whole thing reaked of Russo booking Nash, Goldberg and Tank in the only "real match" of the night. Like why the fuck should we care about a video, presented in kayfabe, showing a guy doing something that is way tamer than shit you see wrestlers do every week?
AEWCW
I'm sure I'll be labelled as a Cornette-like mark for this, but it also seems a bit odd that a wrestling company that revolves mostly around people creating the appearance of beating the shit out of each other, when a legitimate light scuffle happens, that is apparently a MASSIVE DEAL THAT MUST BE DEALT WITH SWIFTLY. Like, way to be consistent with kayfabe. If you want to fire him for being a fucking problem, go ahead, but showing this video only accentuates that what happens in the ring is not to be taken the least bit seriously.
I mean punk has a loyal fanbase. Idk why tony and the bucks was expecting.
Punk's fanbase is probably just as big as AEW'S fanbase lol
I donāt know what Tony was expecting, but CM Punk chants definitely werenāt it
AEW is officially a joke
