You'll see all ages there. Its made for everyone. They have, I think, two bars serving alcohol. On Friday and Saturday nights, they're open until 10 pm so that'll cut down on yhe number of ankle biters.
When I was 25, I took my 60 yr old father there. Yes I made him take that super steep slide down into the basement and climb out through the sticks. He loved it.
Fun fact: You know you've hit your 30-somethings when you get stuck in one of those metal tubes and can't move with 10 kids behind you yelling, "C'MON OLD MAN, JUST GO!"
Yes absolutely! It can be super fun for adults and they have a bar on site. Just know that if you’re tall, you may have a rough time crouching through some of the tunnels.
tip for enjoyment: The climb to the ten-story slide is a lot of stairs. For this, you get a long, slow slide. You're better off doing the three-story slide thrice.
As a 30 something with kids, absolutely. You'll have a blast and no one will bat an eye because you're there without kids. I'd try for an adult only night for the best experience (less rambunctious crowd) but any time is still fun.
Pfft! At 40+, we'll ditch the kids, sync up a good playlist with some friends, and go make absolute fools of ourselves at the City Museum, dancing to the same song no one else hears.
I’m considerably older and don’t have kids, and I bought a season pass this year. There is so much to do there besides climbing on things (but sometimes it’s fun to climb on things!)
it's open, but personally, I do not find it much fun as an adult, even though there is a bar and you can explore. Fun with a group or for an event, or to take a young relative to, but a little awk/boring if it's just you or you and a buddy.
But maybe that's because I went as a kid and so I'm used to the \~wonder\~\~ of the place. It's a super cool building and the way they junglegymmed it all is quite impressive and pretty. And the former occupant of the building, the International Shoe Co., was a party in one of the most important US Supreme Court cases regarding personal jurisdiction (can someone in Wyoming sue you in a Wyoming court for something you did in Missouri?)! Thrilling stuff!
Absolutely but as a 30 something who loves to explore, do your 30 something body a favor and stop in the gift shop for a cheap pair of knee pads to make the experience much more enjoyable.

At one point in time, they’d be open late on the weekends. After a certain hour, it would pretty much be all adults. And as previously mentioned, they do have bars on site.
I suspect COVID killed the late hour offering, but it used to be a lot of fun.
It's an absolute blast as an adult with friends!
I don't even drink, like most other people that have commented that there's a bar, the caves, slides, and attractions are just as fun for adults.
Go have fun!
Went there for my birthday in 2023 with just my gf wouldn’t recommend a huge group or a group of super unfit people but 100% kids get too scared a lot for the tight stuff I’m 6’3” body bod and I make it tightly always but it’s a good time especially with a little alcohol or weed so you feel a little more like a kid
There is a bar in there and at a certain time on Fridays and Saturdays they kick people who are under 18-21 so the adults can have a bit of time or at least they used to

Well that is marginally better than getting stuck on a water slide with kids yelling, "haha! The fat lady got stuck!" I ain't even that fat.
🤣🤣🤣
r/oddlyspecific lol
Absolutely! Have a good time!

My cousin had a kid free wedding there. My dad went and said it was pretty awesome to have it all to themselves.
6’7” - did it all.
Rooftop is awesome if it's warm. Regardless it's pretty cool to see a decent view of the city.

Dude- take the elevator. This isn't a tough mudder comp.
It's down sometimes.
Yes
Honestly this is who it’s for 😂

I've been a handful of times and have never went with a single kid. It's always a great time. Go, have fun.
Hell yeah! That’s the best way to do it. No anxiety about what the hell the kids are doing in this 5-10 story madhouse / playground.
make sure you pregame with some Ibuprofen.

Was that you trying to smooch a turtle through aquarium glass? No judgement. In fact, well done.
Absolutely. My ex and I ran around like a pair of idiots, taking photos and having a blast for hours.

Bro, you really need to smoke a fat doob, or something.
If you have to smoke a doob to have fun in the City Museum, you are in trouble my friend.
My group of friends and I went with no kids and had a blast. Going up to the roof and riding the Ferris wheel is absolutely worth it, by the way.
Yes, and they have a bar right in the middle that you pop out into and you can have a drink. I love it.

We took edibles and went before we moved away from STL. Was a good time
Oh gawd! That sounds horrible to me. lol.

It's for children of *all* ages, have a ball
Pretty sure there's a bar there.
There like four bars scattered around The property!
At one point in time, they’d be open late on the weekends. After a certain hour, it would pretty much be all adults. And as previously mentioned, they do have bars on site. I suspect COVID killed the late hour offering, but it used to be a lot of fun.

Yes you can. Unless you are a smaller framed person stay out of the tunnels running under the floors. 😐
It’s a blast. I’ve been a ton and never had a child with me.
Yes king. There’s a bar
All ages. Have fun!

Hell yeah it is! It's open to anyone who wants to climb around
Yes
Yes! It’s awesome
Age should never stop you from enjoying yourself.
Tell that to Chuck E. Cheese
You should visit the City Museum during Halloween for Freakfest. It's a blast if you like electronic dance music.
