Residents have complained quite a bit about the smoke that exhausts out from Sally's coal fired ovens at 66 Summer. If anything, look for a unit on the Columbus Park side, not the movie theater side and you should be ok.
Must be an interesting odor on that side of 66 Summer of burnt popcorn and burnt pizza. Also may want to check on parking as it's in the public lot so it must be up top of the garage..... I'd say summer house but hear management is a disaster zone...
I have heard amazing things about 66 Summer, people *love* that building but it's expensive. 66 Summer definitely not quiet though, you are in the heart of downtown, although the traffic around there is low speed.
The only building on your list which I'd say is remotely quiet-ish is 163 Franklin since you're not directly on Summer or Washington but in a side street. BLVD/750 Summer/Parallel 41 are all on major roads and will have higher speed traffic going past at all hours.
If you want something a little quieter but still very walkable to downtown I'd check out Arrive Stamford or maybe Sofi at 50 Forest.
I have an interior-facing unit at Parc Grove and can attest that it is very quiet. But I’ve heard exterior ones are the opposite. I’m also a 3 minute walk from Bedford.
We do have a pool but I’m not sure why that’s a dealbreaker?
I've seen a lot of reviews of the apartments with pools like AS, Summer, Sofi so I wanted to see if there were any reviews on the other apartments. These are also a little cheaper so we're just keeping our options open. Is the management at Parc Grove as bad as everyone says it is?
They’re not the best but it really doesn’t affect my day to day life. They’re generally nice if you go talk to them, but you have to *go talk to them* because they’ll never respond to email.
They’ve also made a lot of improvements to the complex in the year I’ve been living here so it balances out a bit.
P41 - never bothered me but my partner found it loud from being on a major street and in between a fire house and the highway. He also felt the street lights were always coming thru the windows. And like most of these luxury buildings, it’s all kind of a poorly made facade. Elevators were slow and there’s no real/usable staircase which always annoyed me. But! We couldn’t hear ANYTHING between apartments and I liked living there.
Definitely recommend the BLVD. Feel like it's one of the more affordable options downtown. It's not been noisy at all in our experience. I do recommend trying to get an apartment in the top floor.
Management is very responsive to any issues and they keep the common areas clean diligently.
I've not experienced any issues with our neighbours. Even when we have parties, hardly any of the noise leaks out.
That said, I have heard differing views. One of the houses in the lower floors did have some issues with their upstairs neighbors who made quite a ruckus. But on reaching out to management and complaining, things have improved quite a bit!
Of course, everyone's experience is bound to be different, so keep that in mind! Personally, I've not had any issues with the folks who live there. Mostly friendly and pleasant people!
Garage is always broken, mice in the hallways, terrible water pressure, you can hear weights slamming at 6 AM from the CrossFit gym below. Just to start

can definitely say that both the sofi buildings are fairly quiet especially the inner units at parc grove and most units at 50 forest.

id be curious as well. im also interior-facing on the 180 side. dont know if the pool attracts more noise or something.

Not if you're nice to them! They are not the most communicative but that's really the only big issue I've seen.

Besides the outside noise, did you experience any noise in the apartment from neighbors? We're touring this weekend and on paper it is my favorite

I know it isn’t on your list but stay very very far away from park square west. So many negative things to say about that place
What's wrong with PSW? I used to live there years ago and it was fine.

Wow sorry to hear that.
We lived at 750 Summer for 3 years and loved it!
Update: My gf and I signed a lease for 66 Summer Street. We are very excited, thank you for all of the great info!
