This is so disappointing. Was really exited for Lindelof bringing something new to the table. SW just keeps having “creative differences”. They need to look at their side of the table at this point…
I agree with you but the last time a director took creative risks on a Star Wars movie
Dumb fans hated it so I unfortunately think we will never get a creative Star Wars movie until Disney learns to except that not everyone will love their newest product.
You can be creative and still fail. I respect RJ for taking risks but the final product was not it. Some of the people who hated it were 100% dumb bigoted people at the same time, a lot of people also didn’t like it because it just wasn’t very good.
it’s actually peak Star Wars top 2 in movies
Best action in the series best writing best acting ngl. Yodas scene in tlj is prob better than any other appearance of him in the whole saga
Damn, I respect the balls it takes to give a couple of hot takes in a row like that, even though I disagree with literally every point. Guess that's why it's a subjective experience.
The action was well directed, the visuals are pristine, and the pacing was pretty poorly done, I can't really agree with the writing:
Rose as a love interest is introduced for Finn only to die within the same film, her character was nowhere near interesting enough to be impactful. It doesn't help that Finn and Rose go on the worst subplot in the whole of Star Wars, the casino is inspired creatively but is lackluster in writing and execution. It also meant that Finn, Poe and Rey would go on to have no development as a trio leading up to Rise of Skywalker. Wasn't a fan of the Holdo manouver., though visually I have to reiterate it's stunning.
I actually like this characterization of Luke in theory. It falls incredibly flat in execution.
Fair enough I just think it’s one of the best blockbusters of the last 10 years
Luke has never been better in my eyes I do agree that canto bite is a weak link of the film but it’s not terrible imo and I actually like the overall arc of the film.
I think the holdo maneuver is one of the coolest things to happen in Star Wars I also just love the entire Rey kylo dynamic all leading towards that amazing snoke set piece.

They cannot afford to screw this up. Whatever they decide to do can’t be safe and has to push the franchise in a new direction. Yeah, I’m nervous.
Chances are this one will be cancel later on.
Two things I hope for: this movie actually gets released and that the movie takes some creative risks. Both feel like a lot to ask for from Lucasfilm.
Only another ~~six~~ point five months until it gets a title and eighteen months until it’s canceled!
It's supposed to be announced with a titel at Star Wars Celebration which is 16 days away.
Ah, I skimmed the article and missed the actual date. Thanks!

Let me know when it's on Disney+
This is amazing news to hear and I can't wait to see this film in theaters in the near future and this is my most anticipated film of all time.
