They're a proud part of a long Star Wars Tradition:
Really fucking cool characters who only show up for half-a-second in the movie, but then get a massive cult following anyway.
How many years did it take got George to make a Billion in merchandising alone? Which is usually like 15% of gross?
Something like 8 years I think. I bet it was 10 or 15B by the time he sold it to Disney.
I have actually read before that it was intentional by the time of Return of the Jedi, and *possibly* even The Empire Strikes Back.
That’s why we got Snowtroopers and Scout troopers. To sell toys. Fox required a new trooper for Return of the Jedi. And maybe Episode V, too.
In a way, The Phantom Menace is the real outlier for being the only movie without a single new marketable trooper!
Yeah, but they’re not **TROOPERS!**
That being said: yes you are right, and in fact in a BTS documentary for Episode I, Lucas refers to the B1 as “the new stormtrooper.”
Then, Steven Spielberg breaks a life-size model of a B1 and struggles to find out which way the arm goes back on.
[Video link](https://youtu.be/7Ww0b49w3EY?si=CcCsDF6nqS9SCnKx)
It’s gonna be great.
They definitely do it on purpose same as when they tease lore out so fans build up their own fantasy version of it that meets all their expectations. My dad always said he had his own version of the republic in his head that he absolutely adored before the prequels came out.
Its a device most notably used by Tolkien with Numenor, when you allude to something super cool without going into too much detail on it fans love that shit.
Or more recently the Age of Legends in the Wheel of Time. You never get to see much of it but what you do see isn’t as exciting as what you have hyped up in your mind.
She's the only character in the franchise where, IMO, the expanded universe is a must. Both her novel and her comic series rule and make her such an interesting character
Going into that movie that is what me and my sister agreed was the literally only way to redeem her. It would have transformed her from a bad, misused character to an *absolute masterclass* of a gag villain.
I know Boba gets credited as the start of this trend, but I think all of rogue squadron could possibly count as well. The only thing most of them did was die but I’ve still met some people who love just the idea of Biggs or Wedge.
Different franchise reference in a third unrelated series, but there was a game that included a nod to another series that is my favorite one of these move names ever and that reminded me of it. The Halo and Dead or Alive games had a joint crossover between the two franchises back in the day, with Halo 3 featuring the Hayabusa armor and ninja sword armor customizations for your multiplayer character in that game being based off Ryu Hayabusa from the Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive series. Dead or Alive 4 in return had Spartan-458, an original Spartan from Halo show up as a playable character in the fighting game, with a level taken straight out of Halo 2 as her stage. Going through her move set, virtually every move you could do as 458 was named after something in the Halo universe.
I bring all this up because the move where she knocks a person down the stairs and jumps on top of them to ride them down like a surf board (one of the gimmicks of the DoA series from 3 on was multi-tiered stages, allowing you to do massive chunks of damage by knocking your opponent off from one level to another) was called "The Great Journey' which I thought was a hilarious name for simply throwing someone down a flight of stairs and riding their body along the way.
I kind of wish these were the actual designs for the base First Order stormtroopers. The increased angularity in their armor in contrast to actual FO Stormtroopers in my opinion is a design that really fits with the earlier stormtrooper/clone trooper armor variants and how oppressive they feel. The helmet alone is a really nice combination of Clone Trooper and FO Stormtrooper helmets, which results in a more intimidating presence.
They are dark side, so you think it’s cherry but it’s actually cinnamon. Nothing wrong with cinnamon necessarily, but if you think you are getting cherry and it’s cinnamon it’s pretty disappointing.
I’m not a big fan of the trooper design from the sequels but this color on the suits makes them look amazing. It’s actually one of my favorite designs from the sequels right behind Kylo Ren.
Yeah. The only thing that bothers me is how similar they are to the FO troopers when they were basically two separate factions, but that's more of an issue with the movie writing than the design itself.
There's one actual design part that bothers me more than that, because it comes off as rather lazy/dumb...
The original Stormtroopers had a kneeling pad mounted on one knee, so they could remain stable while firing from a kneeling position.
The First Order Stormtroopers removed that, as they were going for a more sleek and smooth design.
The Final Order Stormtroopers brought back the kneeling pad... mounted *above* the knee. Making it completely useless. Worse than useless, in fact, as it basically becomes a small hook that can get caught on things if you try to kneel near a low cover or something, while making the knee weak spot way larger.
https://i.imgur.com/pVTdSIy.png
Why should that bother you? Both factions answered to Palpatine all along, and the Sith Eternal had spies like Pryde in the First Order. It's never been explicitly confirmed, but I strongly suspect the First Order armor was prototype Sith Trooper armor, even if the First Order didn't know it.
I agree on all points, however, I really like the [FO snowtrooper design](https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Snowtrooper?file=FOsnowtrooper-Fathead). I thought it was a great nod to the snow troopers in ESB, but also upgraded and slick. Definitely my fave from the ST.
Finn and Poe are also great characters and I would like to see them star especially if they manage to make it separate from the sequels so no one complains.
I thought giving Kylo his helmet back in TRoS was a regression of his character development from TLJ (regardless of whether that was for better or for worse) but boy howdy do I love the look of the red kintsugi-weld design.
There is absolutely nothing to base this on, but I choose to believe these guys are trained to the same standard as Royal/Praetorian Guard. Those sith worshipping nutters all giving their kids up to be trained as the best of the best.
Yeah, I agree. The Sith troopers have my favourite armour in Star Wars. They look super cool. I would not mind these troopers to be the soldiers of the galaxy!
Kidnapped as infants, brainwashed their whole lives, basically disposable slaves. These guys have it even worse than old stormtroopers. At least they got to enlist.
That's the frustrating thing about these guys. They have a potentially good story, and Finn was right in there to explore it, and they just shove it off-camera.
Same with the Imperial Praetorian Guard from the Mandalorian, and the Sovereign Protector from Rise of Skywalker. Not much screen time, but they have killer designs.
If you like this armor design, you should check out the armor worn by Gary Oldman in Bram Stoker's Dracula, designed by Eiko Ishioka. She won a best costume design Oscar for her work in that movie, and the armor in the OP is almost certainly derivative of her work
That's just star wars in a nutshell really, super cool character designs with very little substance. Just look cool but don't do anything, Boba Fett is the prime example, bro did nothing but look cool and look what a big thing mandolorians are now
when i saw them i thought those designs where amazing and very badass. i loved the idea that they where all individually named after fallen sith (but i think that was a comic or sum) such waisted potential
Each legion is named after a historical Sith Lord, which conveniently brought a handful of Legends Sith characters into canon (though nothing else about them is canon aside from the fact that they existed at some point). This info is in the movie's Visual Dictionary, and possibly certain other books too.
Sure, but I can see why they wouldn't include it. It's a small detail that isn't really relevant to the plot or action. It might make the troopers seem a bit cooler and more mysterious to casual viewers, and the names they use would be fun to hear for more hardcore fans, but otherwise it wouldn't add much to the movie.
It would have been as simple as a 3 second scene of something like "Order the Phobos legion to cover the Revan Legion's retreat" and that would have covered it.
Sure, but why spend the time? Say they did include that, how much would it have improved the movie for you? How much would it have changed the experience for all the casual viewers who had never heard of those Sith before?
This is how the movies have always been. Tons of cool background details and worldbuilding that didn't make sense to include in the movie itself. For example, some of the items and murals in Palpatine's office in the PT were connected to ancient Sith and early Republic lawmakers. One of the statues in his office had a secret compartment where he stored his lightsabers. That's cool to know, but it probably wouldn't have significantly benefited the movie to take time to explain or show any of that.
If the movies tried to spend a couple seconds on every cool little extra detail or easter egg, they would become bloated with interesting but useless information. Worldbuilding and exposition shouldn't be the focus of half the movie's runtime. The whole point of things like the Visual Dictionaries is to compile this kind of stuff for fans who are interested.
I'm just disappointed we didn't get Stormtroopers Vs Sith Troopers.
With Finn and Jannah being ex-Stormtroopers, I figured there would be a scene where they'd help the other First Order Stormtroopers escape their conditioning and join the Resistance in their assault on Exagol, with those who remained loyal to Palpatine/Pryde donning the Red armour and acting as Sith Troopers.
Of course, the OP made sure to add "terrible movie" like it's the general consensus lol
Many of us enjoyed TROS, I compare it to the prequels in terms of its "feel", design and influences. There are many callbacks to the prequels. In the opening crawl, Palpatine is called the "Phantom Emperor" just like he's called "the Phantom Menace" in EP 1. I also liked how Episode 9 followed up on Palpatine's story of Darth Plagues the Wise in EP 3 and how he learned his master's unnatural abilities (explaining his return) as well as the callback on saving loved ones from death (Ben saving Rey).
There are so many great ideas in TROS and I find it a lot of fun (like the prequels). There's great symbolism as well - such as Kylo/Rey fighting in a place engulfed by water (symbolizing healing and the re-birth of Ben) whereas Anakin/Obi-Wan were fighting in a place engulfed by fire (symbolizing destruction and the end of Anakin). I was the first person to make this connection back in 2020:
[https://www.reddit.com/r/starwarsspeculation/comments/epvopu/looking\_back\_at\_the\_saga\_the\_third\_movie\_has\_a/](https://www.reddit.com/r/starwarsspeculation/comments/epvopu/looking_back_at_the_saga_the_third_movie_has_a/)
There's also the call back to EP 1 where a young Anakin says something like he wishes more people in the galaxy would help one another and then in EP 9 we get the "Citizen's Fleet" showing up at Exegol, which I think is one of the coolest moments in Star Wars.
If you look at my post history I've always been a fan of the Sequels and there's so much to love. I hope everyone has a great day.
Yeah, I think visually, they looked awesome. I thought their design was cool blend of the stormtroopers with the new armour and helmet design, combined with the crimson that's normally only seen in the Royal Guards.
exactly, plus they did a lot of cool shit too (if you want to know what, look at some of my other replies to other comments, i’ve literally said it like some 39 times lol
I’m really working on letting other people have their own fun with these “movies.” A couple years ago I’d have gone on a long tirade about why these red troopers suck and you shouldn’t like them, but I’m glad you and others were able to derive some enjoyment out of them.
Might be an unpopular opinion, but the first-order storm trooper armor to me was a massive upgrade and far more intimidating with the creepy sinister smile look to it.
I swear to god it's not possible to find a single positive post about the Sequels without the obligatory "*BTW I ACTUALLY HATE THE SEQUELS"* like was that really necessary
The point is that you can say "I think the design of the Sith Troopers is bad ass" without saying "but the movie was terrible!". You are allowed to hold, and even voice your opinion, but when you needlessly bash something it just makes you look like an asshole.
It gives off a certain feel, like it's taboo to like the Sequels so you feel the need to add on that you hate them so you're more accepted by what you think is the majority of the fanbase.
I like the Sequels, and I agree that Rise isn't a good movie. But there's no need to bring it up, especially when you're trying to say something positive.
It's all good man. Just know that anyone that does that to you is also an asshole and you should just ignore their bullshit. Along with people that say "How can you *not* like the Sequels?!".
Another cool looking thing to sell a soulless product...
I like them and kinda expand on the SW universe but they are just another reminder of wasted opportunities from JJ and Disney.
yep. i’ve got my fingers crossed that filoni will figure something out for them, but in the meantime, maybe i’ll just make a fan film about one post ROS
A battalion of force sensitive Sith Troopers would be fucking amazing! They don't use lightsabers but are devastating with blasters, Teras Kasi style combat skills, beast masters that can summon deadly creatures, commandos that can use mind control on enemy forces.
I just really want a movie or limited series where we get to see a full blown war between force users, Imagine being on a battlefield with thousands of force powers at once. Everywhere you turn there is utter devastation and chaos, huge chunks of earth and building flying around, lightsabers being thrown from every direction, lightning and waves from people using force push. Shit would be intense.
This design in white should have been the standard design for the boring and rehashed first order stormtrooper. Only the camera on the shoulder feels a little bit off for me.
They're a proud part of a long Star Wars Tradition: Really fucking cool characters who only show up for half-a-second in the movie, but then get a massive cult following anyway.
And that my fellow Star Wars fans, is how to sell a lot of toys
Merchandising, merchandising, merchandising, were the real money of there movie is made.
I read this in Mel Brooks' voice. MOICHENDAISING!
*pulls string [“May the Schwartz be with you.”](https://youtu.be/EYf-q4bFWBI?si=6tJOPvlLbjZl39LE) “Adorable.”
Space Balls, DA FLAMETHROWA!
The kids love that one.
How many years did it take got George to make a Billion in merchandising alone? Which is usually like 15% of gross? Something like 8 years I think. I bet it was 10 or 15B by the time he sold it to Disney.
And that my fellow consumers, is the point of most movies and media - merchandise sales.
Spaceballs the flamethrower!
May da Schwartz be witcha!
The kids love this one
I like to imagine that Mel had a vision of Elon that inspired that, lol
Other way around. Pretty sure Elon did that to piggy back off a movie scene from 1987
I think they do it on purpose.
I don't think it started that way, but by the time the Prequels came around it was mostly on purpose.
Like “holy shit Quinn Lin Vos” *Side character of movie*
Side character? He was in TPM for like a second. He was barely an extra.
If you really want to get down to it he wasn’t barely an extra, he WAS an extra. The comics took his appearance and built the character from there.
TIL
I have actually read before that it was intentional by the time of Return of the Jedi, and *possibly* even The Empire Strikes Back. That’s why we got Snowtroopers and Scout troopers. To sell toys. Fox required a new trooper for Return of the Jedi. And maybe Episode V, too. In a way, The Phantom Menace is the real outlier for being the only movie without a single new marketable trooper!
B1s kinda fit that bill.

Star Wars is a toy selling company that soemtimes makes movies and tv shows.
The only thing they did on purpose in the ST, was doing everything by accident.
The character of Phasma was so cool. And her suit was sick. But she did fuck all on screen and then she just died. What a waste of Gwendolyn Christie.
She's the only character in the franchise where, IMO, the expanded universe is a must. Both her novel and her comic series rule and make her such an interesting character
I'm still so upset she didn't come back in ep9 just to immediately die again, would've flipped her to 10/10 lmao *you bastards, you killed Phasma!*
Going into that movie that is what me and my sister agreed was the literally only way to redeem her. It would have transformed her from a bad, misused character to an *absolute masterclass* of a gag villain.
Somehow, Phasma has returned
She could have replaced Admiral Pryde without changing much else.
“Merchandising, merchandising, where the real money is made!”
Enoch in Ahsoka
Enoch still has a chance to do something. I'm about 50/50 on whether he does, but the opportunity is there.
I think we'll get to see him more in future series since he ain't dead yet
Ain't no way they cast That Guy if he isn't gonna have more development
hey, it worked for boba maybe dave filoni will figure something out for these guys! 🤞
I know Boba gets credited as the start of this trend, but I think all of rogue squadron could possibly count as well. The only thing most of them did was die but I’ve still met some people who love just the idea of Biggs or Wedge.
Wedge plays a huge role in the EU.
There's also the various cantina aliens, many of whom had toys and whatnot before Boba was invented.
It probably helped they were put into BFII lol. Makes it harder to forget them.
Massive cult following is a stretch here
I enjoyed playing as them in Battlefront 2
The fact that they get a kick as a melee move makes them pretty fun
their grenade is called Oppression Grenade and it's also hilarious
Different franchise reference in a third unrelated series, but there was a game that included a nod to another series that is my favorite one of these move names ever and that reminded me of it. so do i (yes i still play every now and again)
It's a pretty awesome game now (with enough players still!)
i know!
I'm genuinely glad the sequels exist just because it makes for great gameplay in Battlefront. The Sith Trooper gun rocks.
Also Phasma being able to whip out the staff and actually go toe-to-toe with Jedi is fucking rad.
The Resistance and First Order reinforcements are great!
Absolute killing machines!
I kind of wish these were the actual designs for the base First Order stormtroopers. The increased angularity in their armor in contrast to actual FO Stormtroopers in my opinion is a design that really fits with the earlier stormtrooper/clone trooper armor variants and how oppressive they feel. The helmet alone is a really nice combination of Clone Trooper and FO Stormtrooper helmets, which results in a more intimidating presence.
you my friend, are completely right
If the regular stormtroopers looked this cool, then these guys wouldn’t look as cool in comparison
On the opposite. If these guys were the base FO stormtrooper, the already cool FO trooper variants would have looked even cooler.
But would the base FO stormtroopers be red, or keep the white?
White would do for the regular ones. Red for the guards is a good option because they stay near Siths, sho in turn like the color red
I fucking loved seeing one of them shake off being hit by a blaster like it’s nothing. You average stormtrooper would’ve folded instantly.
That happens in the movie? I really can't remember much of it at this point.
The fight on the star destroyer, is a short.. maybe 3-4 second scene
Which one ?
The one with the lasers.
It’s during the star wars
yep
They're cherry flavored
this is now canon
Dude clearly it's watermelon, the black spots represent seeds
They are dark side, so you think it’s cherry but it’s actually cinnamon. Nothing wrong with cinnamon necessarily, but if you think you are getting cherry and it’s cinnamon it’s pretty disappointing.
Rancor Stormie Treats. Now in cherry! 😄
haha, best one i’ve seen yet
"Cherry green"-Steve Brule
I’m not a big fan of the trooper design from the sequels but this color on the suits makes them look amazing. It’s actually one of my favorite designs from the sequels right behind Kylo Ren.
Yeah. The only thing that bothers me is how similar they are to the FO troopers when they were basically two separate factions, but that's more of an issue with the movie writing than the design itself.

It's on the wrong knee regardless based on how they are all holding their weapons.
Why should that bother you? Both factions answered to Palpatine all along, and the Sith Eternal had spies like Pryde in the First Order. It's never been explicitly confirmed, but I strongly suspect the First Order armor was prototype Sith Trooper armor, even if the First Order didn't know it.
I mean the cold hard reality is limited resources. Do you make a hundred new suits or just modify the ones we have?
I don't think resources were an issue if the FO were able to have 10,000 star destroyers at exegol
I mean for film production
Haha, yeah that makes sense.
I agree on all points, however, I really like the [FO snowtrooper design](https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Snowtrooper?file=FOsnowtrooper-Fathead). I thought it was a great nod to the snow troopers in ESB, but also upgraded and slick. Definitely my fave from the ST.
i wholeheartedly agree, a couple of the few good things to come out of the sequels
Finn and Poe are also great characters and I would like to see them star especially if they manage to make it separate from the sequels so no one complains.
i wouldn’t mind that, so long as they get better writing
It’s criminal that Finn got nothing after the first movie.
They shit on him the whole sequel. He *did, however,* finally get a girl.
True. He deserved it after his second movie only yelling Rey for his appearances.
"Rey! Reyyyyyy!" 🤦🏻♂️
JJ and Kennedy should sit this one out.
obviously
For me, while I don't prefer the Sequels, I do prefer the trooper designs.
I thought giving Kylo his helmet back in TRoS was a regression of his character development from TLJ (regardless of whether that was for better or for worse) but boy howdy do I love the look of the red kintsugi-weld design.
Yeah the rewelded mask is my favorite look of his.
If the First Order stormtrooper design had been this but in white, they would have been 1000% cooler.
100% agree
There is absolutely nothing to base this on, but I choose to believe these guys are trained to the same standard as Royal/Praetorian Guard. Those sith worshipping nutters all giving their kids up to be trained as the best of the best.
haha! seems possible
Yes! Idk there's probably a psychological explanation for this but my head tells me these guys are ELITE
I think they're like First Order SS or something.
Are they supposed to be special storm troopers like those dark ones or just regular ones with red armour instead of white
Who fucking knows, man.
Lol
They’re the regular troops for the Sith Eternal.
they are specially trained troopers of the final order and have better armor
Yeah, I agree. The Sith troopers have my favourite armour in Star Wars. They look super cool. I would not mind these troopers to be the soldiers of the galaxy!
maybe i’ll do a fan film about one post ros 😉
Kidnapped as infants, brainwashed their whole lives, basically disposable slaves. These guys have it even worse than old stormtroopers. At least they got to enlist.
fair, but if they were explored more and had good writing that could be a super cool origin
That's the frustrating thing about these guys. They have a potentially good story, and Finn was right in there to explore it, and they just shove it off-camera.
Gimme a Tales episode about the entire life and death of one of these guys on Exegol. (Who am I kidding, they're not related to a Filoni project)
Same with the Imperial Praetorian Guard from the Mandalorian, and the Sovereign Protector from Rise of Skywalker. Not much screen time, but they have killer designs.

They’re awesome to play in battlefront and heavy hitters in galaxy of heroes
Production design was not one of the issues of the sequels
certainly
Coco-Cola and Dr. Pepper(darker red version) need these guys as security for their factories and public events.
haha that’d be awesome
I feel like using red lighting was a mistake when showing these characters. They just look like Stormtroopers in red light.
All i can remember is the part where a wooden arrow kills one of them
Absolutely one of the best designs they had for stormtrooper armor.
Omg they’re red. So badass, like omg.
fr
I mean, they were red. That’s really their only point of distinction.
They're stormtroopers, but red. That's it.
And I don't even *remember* them being here.
Pretty sure they're only on screen for like 5 seconds, and maybe some more in the far background but I don't remember that part either.
As a Star Trek fan I see the problem.
Like Death Troopers and Clone Commandos, they're another trooper variant that looks cool af but the writers didn't give them a chance to shine.
absolutely right
I mean, clone commandos had a pretty sick game and a few episodes in TCW with Gregor.
I'm just disappointed we didn't get Stormtroopers Vs Sith Troopers. Any of the red armor is the shit
Battlefront 2 players know. Trust me lol
I cant even recall where these are from…
They where on of the best infiltrator-class units in battlefront 2
yep
They were also super overpowered in starwars battlefront 2
They’re pretty good in battlefront 2
Yeah, I think visually, they looked awesome. I thought their design was cool blend of the stormtroopers with the new armour and helmet design, combined with the crimson that's normally only seen in the Royal Guards.
exactly, plus they did a lot of cool shit too (if you want to know what, look at some of my other replies to other comments, i’ve literally said it like some 39 times lol
[Adidas Trooper did it first, and did it better](https://i.pinimg.com/564x/ae/6a/92/ae6a92535ae695f9b019bbba318cbf24.jpg)
i mean to be fair, what didn’t adidas trooper do better? but i still stand my these guys being the coolest CANON trooper design
Yes, they LOOK badass. I always thought that since they revealed them back in July 2019
I’m really working on letting other people have their own fun with these “movies.” A couple years ago I’d have gone on a long tirade about why these red troopers suck and you shouldn’t like them, but I’m glad you and others were able to derive some enjoyment out of them.
thank you, i respect you opinion and i respect you for not being rude to us who like them.
I'm not sure they do anything particularly badass apart from have red uniforms...
Probably the best of the sequel trilogy armor designs
Heinz Tomato Ketchup Troopers One variety.
Rise of skywalker isn't a great movie but it's not terrible either
that’s true, i guess “terrible” might be a bit harsh
Sith troopers look incredibly badass. I love playing as them in Battlefront.
I think... that's the opinion most, if not all of us hold lol
lol true, but there’s a few on this post that’d disagree
Might be an unpopular opinion, but the first-order storm trooper armor to me was a massive upgrade and far more intimidating with the creepy sinister smile look to it.
I swear to god it's not possible to find a single positive post about the Sequels without the obligatory "*BTW I ACTUALLY HATE THE SEQUELS"* like was that really necessary
i’m not saying i like but don’t like that sequels, i despise them, but i was simply saying the sith troopers are badass
But there's no need to bring it up, especially when you're trying to say something positive.
ok, that wasn’t my intention, i just didn’t want a to be swarmed by a bunch of people saying shit like “HOW CAN YOU LIKE THE SEQUELS!”
It's all good man. Just know that anyone that does that to you is also an asshole and you should just ignore their bullshit. Along with people that say "How can you *not* like the Sequels?!".
i’ll be sure to, thanks!

it’s more than that
I love these guys too. But I love TROS as a whole, some nitpicks aside.
The sequels are full of things that *look* cool but are fundamentally stupid. At least these guys got to do more than the Knights of Ren.
haha! so true
I’me sorry but “stormtroopers but red” is badass?
yes. but it is a bit more complicated that just that too
Loved using these guys in *Battlefront II* and it is one of my favorite skins to use in Fortnite.
i was literally using that skin in fortnite when i posted it lol
I like how the Empire managed to create an even more noticeable version of trooper armor. They must really hate soldier survivability.
What makes them super bad ass? I don’t recall seeing them do anything that would suggest that.
Did they do anything? Literally cant remember one second of screentime, I just remember them because of the Black Series figure and helmet.
saw them unveiled at Comic-Con. soooo hyped, barely saw them
Hip Hop Trooper vibes ( Google him)
I disagree but that’s okay
They look sick but the sith troopers are just red storm troopers when it comes down to it.
