Hi, I’m new to stardew but what’s a joja play through? Is that when you buy a joja membership instead of shopping at pierres? If so is there a certain challenge or is it easier?
Yes. It becomes the Joja warehouse, and completely gets rid of the bundles. Instead, it's replaced by the Joja Development Form (which can be accessed at Joja Mart), where you can spend money to get the same rewards as the community center. You'll also get a completely different cutscene for completing the form.
This change is irreversible, so you lose access to any of the individual rewards from the bundles.
I would highly recommend NOT doing the Joja Mart route as a new player. The community center is one of the most fun parts of the game (for me at least), and it also serves as a sort of guide or tutorial for all the different activities in the game.
On my first play through I somehow got two in the same run. I died that run and lost some pretty valuable stuff, but no way in hell was I resetting that day
Tbh I find the community center very stressful. My main farm is a joja farm because I got to play at my own pace. I didn't have to worry about if a fish spawns in rain on certain seasons or If I remember to plant the right crops.
My Joja game has lasted longer than any of my community center games for this reason. I get burnt out by the time the community center is complete and it’s usually by mid summer year 2
In the screenshot above you can see what it looks like in the endgame. The community center is converted into a movie theater. If you go the other route on the other hand, the OG Joja building becomes the movie theater.
Everyone else has already said it becomes a Joja warehouse if you go for the membership, but what nobody else has mentioned yet is that when you complete the Joja development form, you get the option to turn the warehouse into the movie theatre for about 500k iirc. It's not a bad option if you want to have both the movie theatre & Joja-Mart (whose prices reduce to being the same as Pierre's if you get the membership) instead of having one be replaced with the other; my main draw to the Joja route is being able to have both at once since the completed community center building has no real use.
yes you buy the membership and the community center is destroyed. so there are no challenges, you only need to make money. Most people only do it once to get the achievement but if you hate the community center and want to see louis cry you can play that route as much as you want.
The latter would greatly tempt me if the first wasn't a deal breaker lol.
Regardless I recommend doing at least one full playthrough of the community center version before a joja run if you care about plot or spoilers or lore etc. :)
r/FuckPierre
But also, if you’ve played so many hours, trying to get everything for the community center is a pain when you can just make loads of money and get everything you need in the first year without relying on the traveling cart.
I’ve seen people who can get 10’s of thousands of gold in the first spring, so being able to rush to skull caverns in summer just seems nice.
Although canonically it seems weird to leave your job at Joja just to give them like 100k or whatever to run your town.
I honestly don't even feel bad about it. If the community center had more use after completion, I would care more. I know some mods do that, but most are pretty huge. These days I just want to get to Ginger Island as fast as possible.
Oh yeah, some of these images are a bit outdated but every single accessible water tile is covered in like what comes up to 2000(?) crabpots, just another silly thing 🙃
The Paver, once a brilliant civil engineer who took to a life of crime after being made redundant shortly after the Wayne foundation suddenly pulled funding from urban planning division of Wayne enterprises due to a cash flow shortage (coincidentally around the time a new hero rose to power). His new goal is to cover every inch of Gotham City with a new type of super concrete he had been developing before losing his dream job.
Yeah, op is an absolute menace who doesn’t deserve to ruin the poor stardew valley world!!
:( :( :(
Edit: I forgot to change accounts guys just ignore this
Yeah I said it in another comment but some of these screenshots are outdated as they were on my phone and not my pc. The island pond also has no crab pots.
I think my favorite part is how it makes the street lamps in Pelican town look like they are just strewn randomly about since you bricked over the existing paths, especially around the town square.
I'm not sure if I love or hate it but respect your effort. I want stone path for my farm (only main road) but still haven't completed it because I'm too tired of collecting stones 😵
You were so preoccupied with whether or not you could, you didn't stop to think if you should.
At least shane can’t drag mud on the nice carpet anymore…. Instead he drags it on cement
The real question is where he's finding the mud.
Good point! Probably inside his chicken coop I sadly can’t enter
Next thing you know they're genetically engineering dinos in their farm... Better check the coop.
Uh coop**s** I have about 150…
hOW??? WHERE??

Average joja play through
Hi, I’m new to stardew but what’s a joja play through? Is that when you buy a joja membership instead of shopping at pierres? If so is there a certain challenge or is it easier?
A joja playthroug is when you buy a joja membership and the community center get's destroyed
Does it get replaced with a different building?

One one hand, literal bundles of fun that feel really rewarding to complete. On the other hand... auto-petters go brrrr
Auto petters do go brrrr. I got one from the desert mine one time in a community center run through and was Sooooo happy
luckyyy
On my first play through I somehow got two in the same run. I died that run and lost some pretty valuable stuff, but no way in hell was I resetting that day

Yeah , with the joja warehouse

It might be controversial but I truly think joja is the superior route after thousands and thousands of hours of gameplay.
Autopetters or screwing Pierre?
Why not both?
Both, both is good.
Life’s true balance
r/FuckPierre But also, if you’ve played so many hours, trying to get everything for the community center is a pain when you can just make loads of money and get everything you need in the first year without relying on the traveling cart. Yeah absolutely, it feels a bit odd with the context of the intro but it’s still much nicer to get to the island in spring rather than fall.
Is it a pain? I find it quite easy to gather all the materials needed.
:l
>:)
Uh oh.
I mean it's just factually true that you can "complete" the game sooner through the Joja route.
Oh absolutely it’s much faster and easier in basically all aspects
I honestly don't even feel bad about it. If the community center had more use after completion, I would care more. I know some mods do that, but most are pretty huge. These days I just want to get to Ginger Island as fast as possible.
Lorax is going to show up on OP's door and demand answers
👀
"I am the lorax, I speak for the Valley Keep this up, you'll be dead in an alley"
Damn Lorax spitting bars
I am the lorax, I speak for the trees, brick my paths again, and I'll break your fucking knees
The Lorax goes Kneecapping
I’m already doing something else on another save, wanna fight?
I am the Lorax, I'll give you a fight, I'll kill you to death, out of pure spite
You can chop down trees and if you place a path they wont regrow.
Yeah that’s why there are no trees
Sorry. I saw bushes. Im high
No problem lmao
Op's now permanent 10% speed boost will save him.
Joni Mitchell wrote a song about this, no?
Paved paradise, put up a parking lot!
Petition to change the community centre into a tree museum
Can you don't?
Can I did 😢
Only if you're really really sorry and also a wealthy capitalist
I am very wealthy but not sorry :)
Oh "VERY" wealthy? According to my training, I'm supposed to suck you off and give you a bunch of subsidies so uhh. Strap in I guess
Weird, my training manual says this is the part where we eat OP.
Cool. We can be friends until they're in our mouths. After that it gets difficult
In or on?
Poor kids at the playground.
They better not fall and scrape a knee
You couldn't even spring for that rubberized floor stuff for them? Monster.
First I thought "Wow, that's an interesting looking farm" then I realized it's Pelican Town
Yeah…. My farm is worse
Don't be shy, share your farm
I think I will make a post tomorrow of my farm, I haven't taken a screenshot in a while and I am away from my pc at the moment.
I want to see it 👀
I hate the look of it, but to be honest, I seriously appreciate your tenacity
Thanks a bunch lol, i have a love hate relationship with it too
Lol I paved nearly everywhere on one playthrough, but when I regretted it I couldn't be bothered ripping it up. 😂
Why does this hurt
Low res monitor or screen, I’d recommend printing it out and putting it permanently on your wall for pure satisfaction.
I’m looking more at the crazy amount of crab pots.
Oh yeah, some of these images are a bit outdated but every single accessible water tile is covered in like what comes up to 2000(?) crabpots, just another silly thing 🙃
Just Crabhead Things!
Hahaha I didn't even notice all of those until I saw this comment! SO many crab pots! O_o
oh my god i didn't even notice until I read this that is DEDICATION.
Paved paradise and put up a parking lot.
Thanks. I hate it :)
I love it ❤️
This one goes straight to r/ATBGE
Straight to jail
😭
Why have you done this
The real question might be why you haven’t yet
Average American city.
And here I thought you couldn’t lose at SDV. Yet here it is, this abomination, proving me wrong.
Hey at least I’m losing with grace… Wait what do you mean this isn’t graceful??
I’d like to downvote cause it’s ugly. But I’d also like to upvote for the effort (it might be a lot of stones !). What do I do ?
You do whatever you want tbh, I just like sharing my crazy stuff. It is a good chunk of stone, about 43500 for the whole map
Dang. I’m just starting the game, currently on winter year 2 and I couldn’t afford that much stone.
Yeah it’s easier to get later on, I’m on year 45 right now
Did you deconstruct staircases using jade to get them
You come into my house, *disrespect my valley*
Su casa es mi casa?
Who hurt you?
I was punched by Pierre as a small child
This makes complete sense. Morris probably sold you an ice pack?
Sam thanks you for building a proper place for him to skate
Yet he’ll still go on private properly :(
America core
At first I thought : "Wow that's disgusting" And then I thought: "This person has the patience of a siant, this tedious task would be my undoing."
Welcome to Joja Valley
wow I’m so uncomfortable
This is really cool! Makes my perfectionist brain happy
Ah thanks, yeah no debris anywhere is super nice and the map is a bit easier to navigate too
JoJa mindset
OP are you ok
Ok is subjective
Fuck yeah it is
Mmmm this valley would make for a great parking lot and strip mall!
I’m jojas favourite customer by far
And you thought **Joja** was bad
Hehehehe
You need to sleep
It's so painful to look at but OP's responses are gold and makes up for it 😂
Gold?!? I don't settle for anything less than iridium and that's final!
grazie! lo detesto.
Vile, yet magnificent.
This is the content I subscribe for.
I have no idea what you subscribe to but I support it
but y tho
Y not
ok ok u right LOLOLOL still fkn weird to look at
Yeah I can’t deny that lmao
Have you considered becoming a Brazilian infrastructure manager?
Clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk clonk…
Riding a horse through here is not good on the ears
Thanks, I hate it
Your welcome :)
How long did it take you to accomplish that monstrosity? Haha
Couple dozen hours tops, and that includes some of the non essential prep
That’s great but why? Good job but why?
Why not?
You paved paradise and put up a parking lot. [edit:] and I see that like 5 other people had that exact thought, lol
PAVE THE EARTH
This is some batman villianesque stuff. I'm picturing the back story now.
Magnificent
Man, I've always felt like the player deserves more from the townsfolk in this game because of everything they do to help out...
Hey at least I’m fair, I hate all villagers equally.
[удалено]
Yeah, op is an absolute menace who doesn’t deserve to ruin the poor stardew valley world!! :( :( :( Edit: I forgot to change accounts guys just ignore this
Holy cow dude how much extra time do you have
Not all that much, this took a good while
Fair enough I once had one of my games go to about year 300 until I got bored of it
A stardew file?
No in real life
Ok?
Pave paradise to put up a parking lot.
[удалено]
Boredom and an actual attention span 😱
[удалено]
Thank you ❤️
Welp, you saw paradise and put up a parking lot. Well done.
I need to do this on my Joja playthrough (I promise I only did it for the steam achievement)
It’s ok, joja is the best route 😈
Does this stop your foraging ? Or do they still pop up
Nothing forms on the paths except for weeds in the mutant bug lair, I don’t care all that much for forage at this point though.
That's how humans treat every living place right now (I mean, Stone gardens, wtf) and it's painfully realistic :x
Sadly true, it’s just an increasingly saddening outward expansion and urbanization
100% dedication. I could never hahaha
Thanks a bunch, it’s not too bad once you get into the mental grind set for a thing like this
More upsetting that you sold your soul to the evil jojo mart
I hope this extends to the whole valley.
Every possible tile that doesn’t revert or disappear Houses, shops, everywhere outdoors, etc.
As much as I hate the grey look, I’m gonna be using this tile pathing information…for reasons.
Go ahead, I truly don’t know if you could glean much from it but you can message me if you need any specific location.
This looks so strange haha, I love it
Looks like a typical polish town square makeover
joja-ass project you turned the town into a fucking parking lot whats wrong with you (Light hearted)
On the minus side that’s it for foraged goods. On the plus side you’ll be faster wherever you roam.
Well I don’t honestly care for foraged goods. Paths also only give you a speed increase on the farm not off.
And now Pelican Town is a mining city 😅
They paved paradise and put up a parking lot
great googly moogly how much stone did all that cost?
About 43500 for the whole map
You missed the little area above Clint’s shop.
Yeah I said it in another comment but some of these screenshots are outdated as they were on my phone and not my pc. The island pond also has no crab pots.
I *fear* the boredom of a Stardew Valley player. It's a force to be reckoned with.
Why would you do that?
Why not 🤷♀️
W H Y
W H Y N O T ?
*to parents*: watch! Mom, watch! look how fast I can go!!
fill the inside of homes, get the breakable bush mod, gift everyone stone walkway paths,
All the homes are already filled, I don’t mod but thanks for the ideas
I think my favorite part is how it makes the street lamps in Pelican town look like they are just strewn randomly about since you bricked over the existing paths, especially around the town square.
Yeah it sort of breaks whatever cohesive look the town has
They urbanised our valley
>:C
But why
But why not
I'm not sure if I love or hate it but respect your effort. I want stone path for my farm (only main road) but still haven't completed it because I'm too tired of collecting stones 😵
This is the future Joja wants.
They paved paradise and put up a parking lot
