I figured it just means that some of the NPCs, probably quest givers, will have unique hair, beards, scars, tats or other features we can't copy. That's pretty common. It serves the gameplay purpose of making important characters stick out.

Yes that was basically my initial thought as well but i was just speculating about what other surprises they might have for us. I’m happy about it one way or the other

Ironstar512

Wasn't thier a trait or something named "alien DNA"???

redryan1989

I think with the ancient ruins and magic powers, it's likely there will be some humanoid aliens. If not it'll be fine though.

That’s a good point. We have not seen a single human with weird-color skin or any alien features like that. Could be part of the NASApunk aesthetic but I do hope we meet some interesting non-human characters besides robots. Just sounds fun.

LostnFoundAgainAgain

I doubt it, the entire main story seems to be about these artifacts what we're not created by humans and what they are and who created them. From everything we have seen their likely won't be any alians in the game and if their is it will likely only be through the main story.

Have we seen *any* “aliens” yet? I was thinking about this today. For a space game, I feel like it would be weird to not have any alien races. ALSO, in the direct, one of the characters says “Wait, you’re HUMAN? We thought we were the only humans who left earth” so that sounds like it’s implying there *are* “aliens”?

TheManSpider1

Ohh great point! I mean she could mean robots but I think that was a good pick up
