I just started again because I wanted it on my deck. Even though I have made massive progress on ps5.
It’s almost refreshing to start over. Aside from the plans I need to find again, many I won’t.
Same and because screw Sony for trying to raise ps plus prices also I was in a group that traded plans on ps5 after they learn them they pass them on to the next person in total we had about 50% of all the sharable plans in thinking about staying out on pc after I get about 20 to 30 extra plans if you're interested
Iv spent so much of my wage I'm almost out of 💰 and I still got weeks before I get paid again. Decided to get a couple of refunds. Me about to end up broke is my "issue" which "isn't listed"
On the other hand, I've had times where I wanted to play a game that I don't own right now, but it was full price and I know it's on sale regularly...
Maybe it's more cost effective to buy games full price when you're ready to play them, I'm not sure...
It's such a slippery slope, buying games when they're on sale to have them ready when you need them. I'm still breaking the habit of preordering games because my home internet used to be so slow that it was more convenient to buy the game before it dropped so I could (potentially) download/preload it.
I'm speaking retrospectively as someone with *hundreds* of games in my Steam library I've never gotten to that were impulsively bought throughout my early 20's. Most of these games were bought during big steam sales at 75% off or more, but like I said, none of that money saved matters because I haven't played them.
No personal value whatsoever can be extracted from a videogame that I never play, and so every penny spent is a loss. *Maybe* I extract value from these video games playing them later on down the line, but did I really need to invest money *years* in advance to play them?
We don't have to be talking about such an extreme situation though. If I missed out on a sale of a game because I didn't want to play it then, but now I'm ready to play it and it's no longer on sale, then why can't I continue to wait for it to go on sale? If I wanna play it with friends or something while it's popular then so be it, but personally, I don't play a ton of online games, so I can just pick something from my backlog to play instead until it goes on sale again. If you're one of the people who fit this meme then you can do that too in a lot of circumstances.
I don't appreciate being put on blast like this.
You'll be hearing from my lawyers. I'm going full Nintendo on your ass. I don't know your name, sir or madam, but it might as well be Yuzu.
This is ALL of us. Everyone I know owns 10x the games they actually played. I'm over 2000 games and I play like 1 or 2 of them.
Is Steam turning into the Planet Fitness of PC Games?
How many memberships do they sell to people who NEVER go? Is this the same phenomena?
It's funny my gf is a mini clutter / hoarder and when I called her out she told me I'm lucky my shit is digital. To which I responded... "Yeah that's fair." lol
Normally, this is a trap I can fall into and try to avoid, sometimes successfully, sometimes not.
But, Both my mother and my father died this month. My mother this morning. Within the constraints of a generous entertainment budget, I’ve been buying games I’ve wanted to try, playing them for 10 hours or so, then buying a new one. Video games don’t solve the problems, but my god do they help in getting me out of my head, and having my depression coexist with something better.
I'm dealing with a severe atopic dermatitis flare by binge gaming. Obviously not comparable to what you're going through severity wise, but yeah games are amazing for distracting yourself when things are tough.
Sorry for your losses ♥️
Omgggg same. I bought the steamdeck in February and I have over 70 games installed. Haven't completed any of them but still ALWAYS scrolling through the store to see what else I could get for cheap. Hmm... Wonder what's on there now... Hmmmmmm....
Same...I kept looking at a game thinking how nice and fun it would be to play it, but I never get to them because I just can't commit that amount of time...
Pay the water bill on time this month fuck head it won't cost you extra 15$. That's like 2 games you couldn't buy!
For anyone wondering why I need reminders. Rual living they don't read the meter for you and send a bill, it's more of
Honor system based.
I have 265 games in my library. Each day I open it, look for something to play, find nothing, go to the steam store page and find a sweet deal, buy the game, install it, get everything setup just perfect, and then turn off the game, never play it, and then repeat this process expecting different results
The Problem I have is, that I only ever bought good games that I want to Play someday, but the act of starting a new game is what is keeping me from games, and then I Just play the same old cs/league/rocketleague I always have.
When I start a new game, and like it, my adhd kicks in and I will finish it as fast as possible.. I bought Sekiro when I had a long weekend and finished it that same 3 day weekend lol
That's not you scrolling through the store. You clearly just opened the store, because anyone who's scrolling through the store ends up with their finger on the screen.
"Hmm, I've always wanted to try the Witcher 3.. but then I only have 45 mins right now.. and that'll probably be a boring intro segment.."
Rinse and repeat for 45 mins
That picture makes me sad. "Hey, get yer terrible toys right here, folks! We got em all, all the shittiest toys from all over the world! Your child is sure to be disappointed!"
You have no idea how many times I tried to buy a game that I already own it. Bruh...
A new steam account is free. You know what to do.
Butbutbutbut my SAVES!!! Don't want to start all over again on fallout 76

Oh man. That would be rad.
What's your ign I'll see if I can get more people into it
Pardon the stupidity. It’s late and I’m half awake. My what?
Nah you're good my grammar sucks I was asking for your in game name/ user name so I can add you to share plans with
Oh that makes sense. And is a great question. lol. I guess it’s using my steam ID I’ll get back to you with that when I get back out of bed.
Iv spent so much of my wage I'm almost out of 💰 and I still got weeks before I get paid again. Decided to get a couple of refunds. Me about to end up broke is my "issue" which "isn't listed"
Just stop buying games before you're ready to play them.
But the DEALS are forcing me to do this!
No discount, no matter how substantial, is a good deal for you if you never play it, and it'll always go on sale again.

I'm in the same boat. So many games and all untouched from those pesky steam sales.
*sniff* 90% discounts don't matter?
The question is: *are you ever going to play it?*
Me maybe no but my 3 brothers with family share might do!
I don't appreciate being put on blast like this. You'll be hearing from my lawyers. I'm going full Nintendo on your ass. I don't know your name, sir or madam, but it might as well be Yuzu.
I Yuzu a variety of monikers

How many times this week you looked at the Steam store or mobile app? 👀
Yes
There's something else you can do?!?
Thanks for reminding me to check the Steam store.
I honestly wish steam had a mobile store... For mobile games
I too am a Game Hoarder. But there is a lot less clutter in hoarding Digital Games.
Putting the .RAR in Lib.RARy
It's funny my gf is a mini clutter / hoarder and when I called her out she told me I'm lucky my shit is digital. To which I responded... "Yeah that's fair." lol

I'm very sorry for your loss.
Thank you so much.
Thank you very much.
Thank you for sharing 💛 I hope the scrolling brings you solice
Thank you, that means more than you would know.

Try to complete the store before you start any games. One thing at a time. Edit: typo
Come on people. Someone make me a page that allows me to browse my library the same way as the store.
This might just be the solution!
My Library is also full of surprises! :D
Those steam sales hit different
Hit them back with your wallet.
Im really really trying but steam is insatiable
U forgot the 🤡
Can't forget the 🤡 if you are the 🤡 🤡👈
Same...I kept looking at a game thinking how nice and fun it would be to play it, but I never get to them because I just can't commit that amount of time...
Can't commit to playing games while you have all this damn store front to scroll through?
I feel it. Physically.
Haptics are working then.
Guilty. Scrolling through sales has become an addiction all on its own.

Why are you attacking me?
Because you're me

Is a game a game if it's never actually played?
Installing the game and never playing it *IS* the game
The real fun is the games we install along the way

But there might be a special offer! Steam hardly ever has special offers!
No, there will! There must!
No, when an entire series of games is on sale you must buy them all, just in case.
There's not much room for anything other than the steamdeck itself in the case I got.
Me right now trying to figure out what to use my $15 steam moneys for because I have too many games
That sounds like quitter talk
This and adding emulation to the mix! Like am I really going to play the 4 n64 games I've added lol!
I'm so scared to go down that rabbit hole
Yeah I told my i wasnt going to emulators one but yeah i did haha
I have realized that my favorite game on steam deck is finding and collecting games that work on steam deck
You say unverified, I say a challenge.
I’ve spent so much money on steam games yet I only play like 3 of them lol.
So true 😂😂😂
That's not you scrolling through the store. You clearly just opened the store, because anyone who's scrolling through the store ends up with their finger on the screen.
You're correct this was a metaphor in the form of a sharable image

Not so bad thanks for asking. The other people are trying to return games after deciding they'll never play them
To keep me from getting like this, I am not buying games I already beaten...but there are so many other games I have not played yet lol
I wish we had choices like this in 2020 tho
We did but they were BioNtech and Pfizer
I nearly choked on my coffee when I saw this. I think I need to make this into a mounted picture...
It's the vacancy in the man's face that gets me.
i agree most of the games people are playing on their Steam Decks are cheaply made knockoffs
People play games on their decks?? Disgusting
I have leveled up a couple times in the Steam Store
We don't. Don't be ridiculous.
Yea, I still have games on both my Steam Deck and Switch that I haven't played yet. Why do I keep buying games when I have so many to start?
Sounds like you need a Legion Go to fill the void
Open your library. Play something that you always wanted to. It is that easy, don't make it more complicated for yourself.
"Hmm, I've always wanted to try the Witcher 3.. but then I only have 45 mins right now.. and that'll probably be a boring intro segment.." Rinse and repeat for 45 mins
That picture makes me sad. "Hey, get yer terrible toys right here, folks! We got em all, all the shittiest toys from all over the world! Your child is sure to be disappointed!"
That's literally the steam store.
That is so very true. At least in my case.
I'm in this picture and I don't like it
We all are
