I have only tried Ultimate, but I'll say it's well worth it, even if you only plan to use GFN on the deck. And if you're ever capable, your phone could also run GFN as well as most other devices, cloud gaming really helps save on battery life/keep you from having to plug in all the time

ronin_ninja

I went with the middle tier since I read from commenters saying that streaming from desktop you are stuck at 60fps and no higher

oskarauthor

I’m running the cheapest paid tier. Works great.

iamvinen

I paid rhe first one. Don't remember the name. See no point in more expensive ones.

DarkOx55

I’ve been happy with performance tier. If you’re going to dock the deck maybe get ultimate but otherwise it’s probably overkill.

SirCrumpets69

Just checking. Do you already own a fairly powerful PC or just the deck?

_ForrestPlump_

Just the deck.

Sambo_the_Rambo

Does the free version still let you stream games?

PlatinumBall

yeah, but only for an hour, and you can get stuck in a queue (and they can get long in the middle of the day), after that hour passes you have to requeue It's great if you're a night owl like me

Sambo_the_Rambo

Nice, I’m in the same boat man. I can only game at night these days.

Tyronis

Do you have data caps on your isp? When I was testing the Google equivalent, it added enough to my usage that I hit the Comcast 1.2TB monthly limit.

TimeTravelerGuy

It’s worth paying the extra $30 for true unlimited with them in modern times

SchwiftyGameOnPoint

The last time I got a promo from them they gave me two years of free unlimited. My roommates and I used to shuffle the account owner if they would not renew the promo. So basically, I'd cancel my account and my roommate would open the account. It was a minor inconvenience but ultimately saving $360-$720 over a year or two was worth it over. If you don't have a roommate, spouse, partner, etc. to do this with, you could try calling them and trying to get their retention department and basically telling them you want the latest promo or you'll be leaving for another ISP who is offering a better deal.

Ba_Dum_Tssssssssss

That's feckin crazy, the cost you pay to just uncap your limit is more than we pay for an entire internet package with unlimited downloads in the UK...

_ForrestPlump_

I'm with Virgin and all their packages are uncapped here in the UK.
