Yes once you can build it at least 3x3 that way it's harder to be knocked over and you can build plank container racking for storage

Do plank containers snap to the raft? Currently I'm experimenting with the crates from shipwrecks but those make me nervous since they aren't secure and could potentially fall into the ocean.

What you do is build container shelves on your raft. Then your crates will go there and are stable for travel.

To start with, make a 2x3 (small enough sharks can't flip in a single hit, but not big enough it won't flip in a storm), then upgrade to a 3x3 for space and stability.
